  1. You're a star! I don't know why I didn't look at GAME before. I'll be pre-ordering my copy this weekend!
  2. Does anybody know if this Bilbo minifigure will be available as a pre-order bonus in the UK? Any links?
  3. danklaiber replied to just2good's post in a topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Search on eBay, that's where I acquired mine. I'm from the UK and I bought it from an Australian seller so it cost me a little bit but it's so worth it! However, I'm a completionist so I'm slightly obsessive when it comes to this sort of thing.

I can understand people's frustrations regarding the pre-order bonus minifigure, but I actually really like the new variation of Bilbo. It means that I can add this design to my collection and I will eventually have: Bilbo - Shire (beige shirt) Bilbo - Regular (red coat) Bilbo - Target Exclusive (blue coat) Bilbo - Pre-Order Bonus (brown dressing gown) I currently have every LEGO The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit set and minifigure, with the exception of the comic con exclusives and polybag 30215, which I'm pretty pleased with as being in the UK means not every product is directly available. Fingers crossed the Legolas Greenleaf polybag becomes globally available very soon!
  5. Thanks for the information guys! I thought that might be the case. I'm fortunate enough to have acquired all the polybags that have so far been released, but this is purely down to me buying them off eBay. Looks like I'll have to do the same with 30216. I do hope they release another exclusive minifigure as a pre-order bonus for the upcoming LEGO The Hobbit video game.
  6. I apologise in advance if this question has already been asked but I was wondering if anyone knows any information regarding the potential UK release of set 30216 Lake-town Guard? I know, at this moment in time, that it has only been released in the US in Toys R Us stores, but surely this polybag will be released as a promotional item through the Daily Mail newspaper at some point? Any information would be much appreciated as I really don't want to fork out an excessive amount of money for an item that usually comes free, but in this case a few pounds. Maybe Toys R Us stores here in the UK will put them on sale?
  7. I bought The Wizard Battle, The Council of Elrond and Battle at the Black Gate sets at my local Argos store yesterday afternoon and I must say they are all fantastic! The Wizard Battle is a rather substantial set for £11.99, and the inclusion of Saruman makes it even more worthwhile. The architecture and colour scheme of The Council of Elrond set is absolutely stunning so I do hope LEGO decide to release another Rivendell set at some point in the near future, whether it be for The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. The inclusion of two exclusive minifigures, in the form of Elrond and Arwen, is an additional bonus. Battle at the Black Gate is a very nice set indeed, and the Mouth of Sauron and Gandalf the White are great additions to my Middle Earth minifigure collection, plus the Great Eagle is very nice! Overall, I'm very impressed with all three of my purchases and I think LEGO have done an excellent job! As I spent over £100 at Argos I received a voucher for £15 off my next purchase, which will be Pirate Ship Ambush. But before that I will be buying The Tower of Orchanc which I am extremely excited about!
  8. I can't remember the exact price for the Orc Forge but Gandalf Arrives was about £8 so that's 1/3 off. It was in the late £20's so my guess would be about £26/27, that being 1/3 off £40. However there was only one Orc Forge on display on the shop floor, whereas there was about a dozen Gandalf Arrives sets.
  9. I went into the Lego Store in Cardiff yesterday afternoon and one of the shop assistants told me that the new wave of LOTR sets were being released on the 25th July. He was told the day before by his manager. Either way, we're going to have to wait another three weeks until they're available. On a separate note, there was one Tower of Orthanc set left on the shelves (there may have been more in the back however), plus Gandalf Arrives and The Orc Forge sets were reduced for clearance which confirms that they're to be discontinued.
  10. I can't really see a significant difference, is it purely because it's in a list format and discusses a large number of sets? I just thought it would be useful for everyone to examine and talk about which sets they would most like to see.
  11. I decided to make a list of some of the possible sets that Lego could make from The Lord of the Rings, based on the film trilogy. I'm aware that the number of minifigures in each set may be unrealistic and also the repeated use of such characters, such as the Fell Beast, is also unlikely. Obviously some of the sets listed may be not worth releasing but I thought I'd list them anyway. I've done all the three films but I'll post each one separately. What does everyone think of the sets and which ones would be the most successful? 12. Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but I'm a big Lego The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit fan. I currently have all 13 sets that have been released so far, and I can't wait to get my hands on the new sets, particularly the Tower of Orthanc! Probably one of the sets that I'd most like to see in the second wave of Lego The Hobbit would be the three stone trolls; Tom, Bert and Bill. I'd also love to have a Lego Smaug and Laketown!
