  1. Has anyone tried the new CMF medal from the swimmer on Celebration Luke and Han?
  2. I have to admit, the CMF have grown on me more with every passing series. I usually don't grab more than 2-3 per series. (6 was the Statue of Liberty, Robot, and Butcher for me) but this time, I am going to have difficulty, between the Bagpiper, (a kilt is my usual garment of choice), Hippie (at least 1, I am a Beatles fan, and the face has a definite resemblance to John Lennon around Sgt. Pepper), the Aztec Warrior (I want an army to face off against my Pirates), and the Space Patrol, not to mention the Geek, and Neptune... I can even see the possibilities in other themes, especially with the medals from the swimmer, I think those would be great additions to Celebration Luke and Han.
  3. Again, another great review of the set. I have to agree with you, the set does not quite get the love it deserves. When paired withthenew Geonosian Cannon, I think I prefer it to the old Geonosian, and the hidden missiles are always a plus.
  4. A great display, but remember Sand People only travel single-file to hide their numbers Seriously though, that is a very imppressive array.
  5. And yet, I find myself agreeing totally.
  6. I also just got the General Grevious Fighter, and an Endor BP.
  7. Give the man a cigar! You sir, have said it best. The same logic applies to situations involving Bariss Offee (two figures one year apart,) the shirtless Maul, the Shadow ARF trooper, and the White Boba Fett. Logic has never really applied to promo figures, more of a "What would look cool?" situtation.
  8. I agree with you as well on that. What is next? Are they going to include a B Wing Pilot with the next UCS? Or, if they decide on another bust (Darth Vader perhaps) will they include his figure as well? To use the most used line in Star Wars "I have a bad feeling about this."
  9. I don't know, I watched the video a few times, and all I really feel is...underwhelmed. Part of me really like this, as I have to have an R2 unit, by by the same token, I just can't get past the "functions" on it. And I really don't like the fact R2 leans forward when his third leg is deployed. The two legs that he usually stands on do not have that wide of a range of motion, and the pivot occurs in the shoulders, not the feet. On the whole, I am just not that impressed for all the build-up.
  10. I agree, however, my wallet and girlfriend have teamed up and vetoed any huge LEGO purchases for a while.
  11. Don't forget the new R2-D2 UCS is due out this year. That is where my money is headed.
  12. Plo Koon's Starfighter for me. Ever since I heard about the new UCS R2-D2, I have been on a major droid buying spree.
  13. They are actually two different figures, as the dome print is slightly different between the two.

My apologies for being late to the party, but I must say a great, sturdy looking design. Now you just need a few more to hunt Yoda down in a larger MOC.
  15. I agree, a great little model, especially considering the limited number of usable pieces in the set.
  16. SInce I own the Log Cabin, it works well for American styled MOCs, even Revolutionary War, but it doesn't quite work as well with medieval. My suspicions are it is the roof, since it is almost completely sloped.
  17. That's a space station! Sorry, I tried to resist, but I couldn't.
  18. I am especially curious to see if it will be possible to add power funtions to R2-D2. While the design looks great, I can definitely see some possibilities for even more customization. And I am curious how many R2-Q5's will be created once the instructions are out? It seems like a great set to tailor to specific wants and needs.
  19. I am not saying that in the least, but that now that I have had a chance to actually examine 2012's offerings, I am much less impressed than I was initially.

I agree, but are missiles really necessary from trees? (Ewok Attack, Endor BP)

I agree, but I am willing to give them a bit of wiggle room on this project.
  22. Something strange is happening to me, and I only recently noticed it. While I was excited for the new releases initially, I am actually pull away from LSW. It almost seems like they are becoming that dreaded word, <insert that tiresome argument>. While I was initially thinking about picking up Jabba's Palace as my large purchase this year, I am beginning to think a large assortment of basic System would be more satisfying.
  23. Very impressive, but when does Darth Maul appear shirtless?
  24. Looking at the roof of the palace, that does give us a fairly good indication of the set size. It appears that the largest circle is made up of the old UFO quarters appearing in Dark Tan. With the exception of the flick fire missile, it actually looks pretty good. Could it be better? Definitely. At least it's a start?
  25. For me, I think I have to count myself out for the Malevolence, and for the EU ships as well. However, the Jedi Starfighter will be mine.
