I actually really like the design, and it is good there is going to still be a shortsword mold produced.
  2. I am looking forward to a few of these, there is no such thing as too many Pirates, Ninjas, or Forestmen (and Women.) I admit I am not sure about the minifigure trading idea. I feel like there might be more value in the figures being traded in rather than being received.
  3. Finally got my hands on Helm's Deep, and the last CMF the store had, and it was a Conquistador! A day later, I have broken in and decided to be a completist for LOTR. Therefore, the Orc Forge was necessary.
  4. You are missing one, Dr. Jone's suit torso from the Venice Chase set
  5. While the train looks like a lot of fun, I am actually more interested in the Rocking Horse. It will allow me to build up my toy soldier cavalry.
  6. Epaulettes would be really inaccurate, historically speaking, as they were not brought into use until roughly the 1720's. That being said, we are dealing with LEGO, so I am more in favor of what looks good. If you are truly worried about historical justification, you can always claim it as a gorget.
  7. I know it isn't that great, but I picked up a sealed Pirate's Code game at the thrift store for $5. At least there is a lot of gems in it.
  8. I agree, the review is excellent. Alas, the set is not. I think it will largely be placed somewhere behind the haunted mansion when it is released.
  9. That is absolutely phenomenal! How much does the car weigh?
  10. I agree. I picked up my second one today, along with most of the rest of the set. The Diver is definitely a close second though.
  11. I have to agree, these two sets smash the Beach party to bricks.

That is a great looking Scottish mercenary, but I'm not too sure about the Easter Bunny torso for the grenadier. The shakp definitely works though.
  13. I call Godwin's Law on the lot of you.
  14. I would have to go for one of the fabled "Europa" themed sets, preferably the largest they had. Going with officically produced though, I would have to go with a Fort Legorado.
  15. I was just able to pull in a lot of 5 vintage redcoats (fully armed) for $2, and another lot of Armada (9, including breastplates) for $20.

  17. I just finished building mine, and I am a huge fan. I built up my armies predominately in Fantasy when it came out, and I was surprised that the Uruk Hai fit right in with them (I know, they should be their own army, but tell my wallet that) In short though, a great set, and one that I am probably going to purchase again.
  18. I just got one today, and you actually had to ask for it (they were kept behind the counters of the registers) But by getting that and the Cosmic Cube Escape, I have half of the Avengers down.
  19. For some reason, seeing the Brickarms Chainblade is immediately making me think of the movie "Army of Darkness."
  20. Thanks for that info. This series looks great.

Agreed completely. I'm guessing this is a standard French design? It appears to be the standard design from the 7 Years War in North America.

Ok, I need to ask this because I have reached this point. I need to choose between the large medieval sets, so considering I have the King's Castle and the Troll Castle from the Fantasy Era, as well as the Uruk-Hai Army, should I pick up the Medieval Market Village or Helm's Deep?
  23. The Uruk-Hai Army and a few CMFs for me (Guards and Bagpipers for my British company. On a side note, anyone have any ideas for what to do with 15 extra bagpipes?) Unfortunately my purchases are being watched over by a jealous girlfriend, so I need to be discreet.

Offhand, do the legs separate from the torsos? I was considering the same thing for the Ewok-TIE Pilot-Jar Jar set, since the legs are all plain, it should be easy to replace them.
