  1. Wow...I finally see new Castle in a TRU earlier this week and now the new Batman stuff is starting to trickle out...summer is starting early
  2. Hey Dunamis, think you can get a straight-on shot of the face? The red pieces inside the eye sockets are topped with trans-greenish-yellow studs which make his face look eerily alive and very close to his screen appearance. It's a nice little detail that seems to not show through on pictures I've seen of the set. The legs are a little wobbly. I'm scared that he'll be leaning too far forward in about 5 years

Or... A Classic Space homage line. All-new vehicles but with color-schemes from Classic, Blacktrons 1 & 2, Space Police 1 & 2, M-tron, Ice Planet, etc That would rock

It wouldn't hurt them to give the aliens a ground unit or two either. A hovertank or a walker or something with giant wheels would be nice

I dunno...I'm still quite fond of the saucer I cooked up

Wow, Australia, UK...so much for that old whine about the US getting everything first This is great though, it means summer sets are just around the corner. And with all these large sets it'll really increase parts stocks for when I (or any of us) are MOCing stuff in-theme. I'm eager to get cracking on some original alien ships myself
  7. Well consider this... LEGO has sold thousands upon thousands of their own in-house Racers each year for the past couple years now. Putting "Speed" in front of that and adding some fleshies doesn't change what the sets are at their core...cool LEGO race cars. The license seems like a no-loose situation for LEGO, just do something you're already doing well and package and promote it a little differently to tie in to a movie. I actually think that's one of the smartest licensing choices (Star Wars aside) they've made yet.
  8. Yeah, toss in 20 Clonetroopers in various unit patterns (501st among them of course) and 10 Stormtroopers, call it the Fan-Service Pack and let's just be done with all this nonsense and get down to some really obscure and creative sets...until we discover some other glaring and obvious "oversight"
  9. The thing it, it looks to me as if Star Wars LEGO fans really fall into two main categories. 1) People who want fun SW LEGO sets, ships, and scenes with cool Minifigs 2) People who want cool Minifigs I'm afraid those of us in category 1 who are looking forward to a fun and unique building experience will be ground under the tyranny of the masses who just want every SW character ever in Minifig form. So I really hope we end up with something with a vehicle instead of a glorified battle pack. Perhaps toss Anakin's Airspeeder into the Palpatine set or something.
  10. I'm afraid you're right and I couldn't be more BORED with the prospect. Some more Jedi Minifigs and some office furniture...let me clear some space on my display shelves right away for that The other two choices aren't all that hot either, but I guess the Mon Cal cruiser idea is the best. A-Wings are always fun, especially if we get one in a color different then the standard red. (Blue anyone?) The A-wing could be the new Jedi Interceptor Plus, Admiral Ackbar as a Minifig beats Agen Kolar and pre-Sith Palpatine any day
  11. it does look a little dinky next to the old Technic Hailfire, which is still proudly displayed on my shelf. But after building it and messing around with it for a while I decided I like the little thing. I just think of it as a smaller infantry support or urban defense variant. The confederacy had several sizes of other droid weapons, like the Octuptarra Droid and the LM-432 Crab Droid. So it's all good to me
  12. Yeah, 3 legs. Makes it look like its prepared to fire at any moment.
  13. I use LEGOs The LEGO Group can either nitpick with me or simply thank me for the thousands of dollars a year I spend buying their LEGOs
  14. Okay, who's going to be the first to suggest we need a Halo Theme(month) then?
  15. I ordered one when I thought I had 3 more coming And you're right, I can't find the sets they come in, and that probably means there isn't one...but they DO exist because I have the one...the single lonely slope Sad part is that this is actually the compromise. What I really need is Dark Blay. I even ordered them in light gray to see how they'd look, and got the 2x2 pieces for those as well
  16. I'm trying to do a simple color swap on one of my sets, but 'm having a LOT of trouble getting just three parts I need... I need three Dark Gray Slope 33 3 x 3 Double Convex Bricklink Page I've made 5 separate orders from Bricklink. 4 of them have gotten me nothing but Dark Gray Slope 45 2 x 2 Double Convex pieces instead of the correct ones. Only one of them has netted me a single correct piece. Please, if any of you can competently tell the difference between a 2x2 and a 3x3 gray slope and have 3 you can sell me, drop me a PM. I'm about ready to stat stabbing people in the head over this stupid project and I really just want to be done with it.

Well, let me just jot this date down so next year you'll have a popper birthday banner in the Den Happy Birthday!

I'm now convinced the Twilight is Anakin's B-Wing style ship. In the current issue of Diamond Comics Previews, there is a solicitation for Clone Wars Pocketmodel cards. Pictured on the card box and the boosters is Anakin's ship. The box and boosters also feature pictures of Grevious' fighter (Soulless One), while the starter pack has what appears to be a Vulture droid, and 2 different Y-Wings pictured on it with an assembled Anakin's Ship displayed in the clear bubble on top. The text in the solicitation mentions "the Twilight, the Munificent-class star frigate, General Grevious' fighter, and more!" The prominent featuring of Anakin's ship and the deliberate mention of the Twilight makes me think with little doubt that they are one in the same. Now I'd be totally surprised if it were otherwise
  19. I'm tellin' ya...final scene of the movie when they're on the ferris wheel pointing the camera out across the ocean...far right of the screen...can't miss it if you're looking for it
  20. M-18 :: It's not long after the defeat of the ten Inferno Cavalry when the artillery bombardment starts. Large stones and flaming bundles of pitch begin falling in and around the Eastern Outpost. Mixed in among the deadly projectiles are a number of burning barrels. As the barrels hit the ground and break open, the fire ignites the straw and oil soaked cotton stuffed into them that serves as cushioning for the Inferno Infantry inside. The few Skeletons that survive the flight and landing without shattering their bones quickly light themselves in the fires and begin attacking the nearest Crown soldiers or civilians. More then a few of them inside the outpost walls. ::
  21. Well if I were you I'd get the Rogue Shadow first, then get another AT-AP (firsts beasts seconds!) But I can't argue at all with getting another AT-AP. I'm thinking about getting a second one myself because it's just too cool looking
  22. IC SCOURGE M-18 ::He studies crude maps at the command post behind the undead defensive line when a group of riders clatter up :: "Excellent..." NPC SKELETON COMMANDER "Commander Scourge, compliments of the General and our overlord the Wizard, the Fifth Legion has arrived and is now at your disposal." IC SCOURGE "Where is the artillery in your formation?" NPC SKELETON COMMANDER "The middle sir. They are deploying alongside the existing line." IC SCOURGE "Ready your troops and inform me the instant your siege engines are placed."
  23. Hey, sorry if anyone is waiting on any of my characters for anything. I've had a busy couple of days and I was working with a better way to sort through the Adventure Thread... ...it's much easier for me to read now, ( ) so game on!
  24. Ah, good to see there's someone else who appreciates the TTC. Anyone still unsure weather to pick this set up or not, it's most defiantly worth it for the discounted price. Neat little Minifigs, great parts for MOCing regular or Bionicle creations, and a pretty sweet assault vehicle when it's all put together. That, and you can slaps some huge plastic wheels on the thing and make it look even sweeter!
  25. Perhaps he burned up
