I remember this guy on bricklink was selling a large number of sets that were glued together. You could try PMing him for advice if you're a bricklink member.
  2. I keep them put together and on display. Though I am close to running out of room, so I may have to rotate stock and pack up a set or two as I get new ones. I'm not a MOCer though.
  3. Thanks
  4. I have a follow up to fred's wanted list discussion. Let's say I part out a large set to my wanted list and buy some of those parts from a store. Is there a way to automatically remove from my wanted list those parts which I just bought? Or do I have to do it all manually?

Nice characters. I have no idea what steampunk is, but they look cool.
  6. I am currently selling (most of) my childhood castle sets. They are as listed below. Everything is in good condition, with minor playwear. I played with them as a child but I wasn't abusive - they never ended up in the microwave, sandbox, etc. Prices are in US Dollars, and do not include shipping. I am on the SSL list and have 100% positive feedback on bricklink (name: Buckeyebrickor). PM me if you're interested or have questions. Thanks for looking. 6018 Battle Dragon $3.00 --- Includes parts for the boat, oars, crossbow, and shield. No minifigs. Instructions included. No box. 6039 Twin-Arm Launcher $14.00 --- Both shields are missing. Otherwise complete with instructions. No box. 6054 Forestmen's Hideout $22.50 --- Missing both minifigures. Two 1x2 gray bricks have been substituted with six gray 1x2 plates. One black 1x3 brick has been substituted by one 1x2 brick and one 1x1 brick. Insturctions included; no box. 6060 Knight's Challenge $75.00 --- Red and yellow plumes have been substituted with large feathers. Both clips on blue horse barding are broken. 1 corner of the 8x24 green baseplate is slightly warped (pictures available upon request). Instructions included. No box. 6062 Battering Ram $26.50 --- Missing all three black falcon figures. One pair of red legs and one pair blue legs have been substituted with black legs. Missing four 1x2 gray bricks. Right clip on red horse barding is damaged and will not hold a weapon. Square dragon flag has 1/2 of lower left clip broken off. Instructions are very tattered with a couple of tears, but they are complete and readable. No box.
  7. This is kind of minor/lame, but on the Death Star double cannons on the top level, the cogs to move them up and down are both supposed to be on the left side. I mirrored the two cannons so the cogs were on the outsides, and easier for AFOLs' fingers to use
  8. Don't know if I'm slap happy, but that made me laugh. And by the way, it looks like whoever is pushing the flick fire may have pretty big hands too... So (s)he feels your pain. I feel like I need to get this set and every CW JSF that comes out. I just wish they would release them all like Anakin's and Plo Koons: Ship, Jedi, Astro Droid. Not adding in all of the extras and thus increasing the price. That said, I really don't like the look of this one. I would have preferred Kit Fisto's.
  9. I think they have TIE pilot legs available too

3rd. If the fig sucks, sell it. There is always a crazy market for exclusive figs. On Bricklink, 8 Visual Dictionary Lukes have been sold so far in April for $12.00 each, more than half the cover price of the book.
  11. Yes, I absolutely think it's possible. I just don't think you'd be able to find the right buyer on Eurobricks (or any other such website). Maybe I'm naive to think this way, but most of us here are LEGO enthusiasts, and got into the hobby because we enjoy collecting, building, displaying or "playing". I also think that a lot of AFOLs have interests in only specific themes. I think what you really need is someone who makes a business out of LEGO (I picture the comic book guy from "The Simpsons"), and knows he could turn what he paid you into a large profit. A guy up the road from me has a LEGO resale shop like that. I just don't know where to find them online to advertise this sort of thing. Have you tried craigslist? I've seen other multiple-thousand dollar lots of LEGO for sale there (I saw one for $20,000 recently) - I don't know if those kinds of sales are actually made or not. But that would ensure that someone is local or willing to drive to you. Best wishes and Good luck selling.

I think it's actually the 3rd and 4th, per the calendar. So be sure to tell your boss you'll be late on the 3rd ;)
  13. I'm sure this is an AFD joke, but I need to post just in case it's not. I'm interested in any Star Wars and Classic (late 80s/early 90s) Castle.

Minifigures: 8014 - Clone Walker. This was the best set for building a uniform army with 3 regular clones. The gunner was nice too. And we had the option of making 1 of the clones into a commander with the included armor. This was a quick and cheap way to build a large army, the way we saw it in AotC. I was sad when these left the shelves, but my bank account was happy since that meant I had to stop buying them. Parts: I'm not an MOCer, but I do like the 8014 as well. All of those gray hinges could be useful. Along with the gray wedge plates. Design: 7913 - Clone Troopers. So nice to see a BP with something that resembles a real vehicle, and not some expedient piece of crap to throw in with the minifigs.
  15. No one's really sure about the ARC-170. This debate has been had before, with no real answer. The ship was seen briefly in the CW series, but you're right, those styles of clone pilots were only seen in RotS. As far as box art, all SW sets have the same box art, whether they're classic, prequel, or clone wars. In 2009, some of the classic trilogy sets did have the classic LEGO Star Wars logo to commemorate the 10th anniversary of LSW.

While 2006 is close, I'd have to go with 2008. The CW sets were really good that year, and you can't argue with the Death Star.
  17. Meijer has BOGOHO on all City, Atlantis, World Racers, and Harry Potter. Not a spectacular deal, but I haven't seen a whole lot of good LEGO BF sales. Plus it's nice if you are going after some big sets.
  18. The Clone Trooper pack is ok. The bomb squad troopers are just kind of odd/random. Although they're armed, they're not really what I think of for building an army. However, the Commando Clone (or whatever his name is) and the ARF Trooper  I may get some of these, or else just buy some ARFs from Bricklink.
  19. Only bad thing about the bullseye gift card is that there is no separate card. The pieces are in a small plastic case, and the "gift card" is printed on the back of that case. So you have to tote around that plastic case instead of just slipping a regular gift card into your wallet.
  20. Nothing really. If you held a gun to my head, I guess I'd say the V-wing. But I don't plan on getting any of them.
  21. Cad Bane for lack of really knowing anyone else who did anything of significance.
  22. Drock replied to sok117's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Cad Bane. Boba may have cooler equipment, but we've seen Bane do so much more butt-whooping. Like holding Senators hostage in the Senate building, and breaking into the Jedi temple.
  23. Not the best find ever, but at th Lego store they had a Slave I in a smashed up box for 10% off. When I went to the register, the manager said she had an even more smashed up one for 20% off. Not bad when it's also double VIP points month.
