New LEGO stores in US
MrTools, I'll be looking forward to hearing about your adventure tomorrow. I went there again tonight around 6:00 to get the Yoda Duplo brick, and waited for about 90 minutes to get in. The store was really picked over too. Almost all of the new SW sets were gone. But it was fun. :) I'm excited to have one so close now.

Exactly. "Exclusive to store x" really means "Exclusive to store x, lego store, and lego.com"

New LEGO stores in US
Not very big (but the only LEGO store I've been to is at Disney World), but they do seem to have everything. Maybe 3/4 the size of the one in the picture here http://stores.lego.com/en-US/default.aspx The Columbus store just feels more cramped. I didn't get too close to the PAB wall, but it doesn't look like it's as big as the one in the pic either.

New LEGO stores in US
I made it to the Columbus, Ohio store last night. It just opened yesterday. I was drooling all over the floor. It was neat to see some of the sets built instead of just pictures on the web. Also, they had sets which aren't up on Lego.com yet, which was neat to see. I'll be going back tonight to get the exclusive bricks, and Saturday to get the minikit. They will probably start to think that I'm some kind of weirdo.

LEGO Star Wars 2009 Sets and Rumours
Don't know if it helps if you don't have a LEGO store near you, but I was just at the LEGO store in Columbus, Ohio (just opened today) and they did have the midi falcon there, along with the Pirate Tank and Fighter Tank

They could always have the Falcon w/o Han.

Interesting. Maybe the Midi MF is a CW set afterall. Hope that doesn't blow up any theories about the Battle Packs being OT Hoth then.

LEGO Star Wars 2009 Sets and Rumours
Is the Millennium Falcon going to show up in the Clone Wars this season? On the S@H website, it's listed under the Clone Wars (I changed the country; it's still not up for the US). It's just kind of strange that they'd put this in "Clone Wars" when the big Falcon is sitting right there under "SW Classic" not to mention the box having clones on it.

Rewatching the Clone Wars
Thanks for the review, def. I can't wait until the box set is released. I would love to see a LEGO Federation landing craft, though it would be so out of proportion with other sets if it were to be reasonably priced. Looking forward to reading the continuation.

New TFU sets?

Vader's Red Helmet
There's that word again, Marty; "heavy". Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the earth's gravitational pull? Okay, I checked when I got home and sure enough, the Leia I got from the X-Wing set has the messed up hair. Wonder if there was just a bad batch at one time.
- Star Wars sets anyone?

LEGO Star Wars 2009 Sets and Rumours
Threepio is good though. We haven't gotten one in awhile, except for the Death Star. There's been a drought for such a major character. Maybe we can get the "Rebel Friend" from the Lego Star Wars II video game.

$150 US sounds about right. Sounds good. Any more than that I'll probably pass. Can we get another R2?

Which set should I buy?
I doubt the sets would have very high resale value if you try to sell them without the minifigs. The Home One looks like a pretty weak set (the minifigs are its main draw), and as mentioned above, the Pirate Tank isn't an iconic vehicle and isn't well-known. On the other hand, because the figs are exclusive to these sets, it may actually cost more to buy each minifig separately (just look at the bricklink prices for the Separatist Shuttle) than to buy the whole set. If I were you, I would probably just sit on this decision for awhile and see what happens to bricklink/ebay prices after the sets are more readily available everywhere.

South Park!
In its infancy, South Park was all about being crude and tasteless. Somewhere around Season 4 or 5, it just turned into (usually) bad societal commentary, and went down the drain in a hurry. It seems like now I can only count on one or two watchable episodes in each season. Oh well, nothing lasts forever I guess.

Transformers
I saw it yesterday (really because my wife wanted to go, not for me). It just didn't do it for me, but neither did the first. The humor was too forced. It was definitely humor for twelve-year-old boys. The robot testicles, and the swearing that was funny because it was done in often nasaly robot voices, not human voices. The plot was bad and predictable, but this movie was never about a story. All in all, I just felt it was a continuation of the abomination of my favorite after-school cartoon. Oh, and I saw the trailer for GI Joe...more blech.

[MOC] Femtroopers
With that hair, Ahsoka actually looks somewhat "presentable." She's still got some catching up to do to get on par with her voice-sake.

[Review] 7251: Darth Vader's Transformation
I've always wondered why the human form Darth Vader ("Anakin") came with legs and a left arm in this set. :)

LEGO Star Wars 2009 Sets and Rumours
I actually thought that in the picture his hair looks like the color of banana lifesavers. (of course I know it will be the same hair as in the Millenium Falcon and Death Star).

Venator-Class Attack Cruiser vs Imperial Star Destroyer
Wow, thanks, Teddy. You may have talked (shown?) me out of it now. Maybe if the price comes down to $90US or so. Anyway, thanks for the pic.
