  1. I know. People are welcome to love the figure, but in my opinion, the arm/hand thing looks awful as expected
  2. I won't watch that video review, but from pictures I've seen, that Electro looks terrible with transparent parts. I hate being able to see the head and hand studs. Hoping LEGO doesn't continue to go this route.
  3. New Spiderman poly on UK eBay: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?sbk=1&nav=SEARCH&itemId=200991738950
  4. He does have a new torso. Not a fur coat though. They're ashes. From his cigar.
  5. You didn't miss anything special...just digital renders of the 2014 Batman and Spiderman sets! And a couple of lucky members describing some of the other Marvel sets ;)look back a couple of pages...
  6. Thanks for the advice and well thought out answers! I ended up getting Orthanc. The LEGO store didn't have the Haunted House on the shelves anymore. (I didn't ask if they had done in back, but I had pretty much made up my mind by then anyway). My sticker sheet was creased (it had gotten folded over the instructions in the cardboard backing), and a few if the stickers aren't really usable so that kind of soured it. :(. I will call LEGO today and hopefully they'll send me a new one.
  7. I've only done this with polybags. My building skillz aren't that great. Maybe I should step up and try it with some bigger sets. It would make the building process last longer ;)
  8. A couple if days left for Double VIP and I have some cash. What do you think? 1. Haunted House. I have the other Monster Fighters sets so I obviously like the theme. I also like to play with my LEGO with my kids, and enjoy the larger build sets. I really like the Vampyre Castle. The HH seems more of a display piece than a play set. The build does look fun. 2. Tower of Orthanc. I'm a casual Tolkien fan. I've seen and like the movies but I'm not a super fanboy of it. I don't have any other of the LOTR sets. But this looks like a good one for a one-off. Looks impressive (I've seen it at the LEGO store) and the inside looks detailed and fun. As I said, my kids like to play with my LEGO. They don't know LOTR since they're too young. 3. Save my money for 2014. I want to get all of the Batman sets. Plus the LEGO Movie sets sound intriguing. Haven't heard whether there will be a big, exclusive Superheroes set. Thanks for any advice!
  9. Kermit, yes. That's batgirl. ;) Also the "Hulk" is a stand-in for Green Goblin
  10. D'oh my bad. I forgot about the juniors set. I Apologize. :). Yeah, I figured that would be the same 2012 Joker
  11. No, the set will have a new Joker with a purple fedora. Pics are a few pages back.
  12. There have been GL rumors going around. But unless it's a store exclusive set, I'm not so sure. The minifig lineup in the sets we know about seems to be filling out.
  13. Mine did as well. Wifey stopped after work for me :). I'd definitely go before the Bricktober event starts on Saturday
  14. I'm glad LEGO is getting more diverse with their Batman figures. My son has a lot of the Fisher Price Imaginext Batman action figures. In that line, every vehicle or play set has a different bat suit variant. Adds some more fun and variety. Hoping there's a different Batman in the Manbat and Steamroller sets, but it may just be the 2012 figures again...
  15. Um Whut? I'm pretty sure the preorder bonus includes the figure and the gun-mounting system. Maybe LEGO has to play by some kind of rule where they can't just give out a singular figure in a polybag. Like the Batman2 Lex Luthor had the black bricks and his gun
  16. Other than The Flash and Manbat, and possibly someone n the $50 set, I wouldn't hold my breath for many new characters

Fbtb just reported that they will not be available in the USA
  18. Yes. Appears to be some sort if sled with his jet pack
  19. Joker1, did you see this post from darth tater? The Penguin Face-Off: Might be one of the best $13 LEGO sets ever. Comes with Batman, the Penguin and two robot penguin henchmen with dynamite. Batman has some sort of jet ski (I can't recall if it's similar to the polybag) and the Penguin has a duck-like flotation ride similar to the Batman Returns design. The Man-Bat Attack: Batman, Robin (I thought it might've been Nightwing, but he looks really cool!) and Man-Bat. Really cool looking Bat-Helicopter. Could retail for $25 The Riddler Chase: We've all seen it. The Joker Steam Roller: This is the one I'm most excited for. 5 total minifigures, but all I could make out was Batman and the Joker (purple hat included!). While the box art made it look like two heroes and three villians, I am not ruling out the possibility of the other hero being Nightwing. The Steam Roller looks ridiculously awesome, with a ton of great colors. Batman's vehicle is a jet, with similar wing functionality to that of the Republic Striker from the Old Republic line.

Can you add me please? Westerville, Ohio, US
  21. Welcome to your new role, Cloney
  22. Thanks for the news. These sound great. Can't wait for them :D
  23. My five year old informed me that we are doing that this Halloween. Ha. We have all of the sets except The Zombies and Haunted House, so it will be a nice display. Should be fun!
  24. I wouldn't rule out sets based on that. LEGO made new molds for Zod's and Faora's armor and helmets and only used them in two sets and likely wont be able to use them again.
