  1. I'm trying to pretend that that isn't true, but your statement is absolutely correct. This is what LEGO has become, especially in the licensed theme, but also original themes to some degree. I don't really blame the set designers - they have to work within a certain price point, and I think they've done well in that regard.
  2. I'm having a hard time getting into these sets. I don't know anything about the movie, so the sets don't really mean anything at this point. The sets look okay, but pretty uninspired. These types of vehicles should be 'add-on' parts to sets, not the sets themselves. Are Iron Man's adversaries trying to be like Batman and collect all of their modes of transport in the same style/color scheme?
  3. Endor must be the new Hoth for LEGO.
  4. Shame that a new UCS cheapens the "Ultimate collector-ness" of the original?
  5. Well, at that price I'd guess it is an UCS. I guess LEGO is starting to re-make UCS sets. Does that mean this one is now UUCS? Sad
  6. Hehe. My wife tells my kids not to ruin my LEGO sets, because they're their inheritance.
  7. Are you keeping it somewhere where it's exposed to high temperatures or excessive light? I've ruined countless cheese slopes and 1x1 clips that way. It does seem strange that it would happen so quickly, though
  8. Clark Kent figure is pretty good. Still on the fence about it. I like the fig, but I don't like it like it. Not enough to buy the movie unless I find a really good deal., thanks darth lurtz As for the Batman game - hard to see much with that small of a picture but it looks alright. The little microvehicles look fun. And who doesn't love a microfig. thanks just2good
  9. A new Rock-em-Sock-em Robots style Mustafar playset? I kid, I kid.
  10. I like the planets sets. I just see them for what they are though - small, standalone display pieces. The figures from them stay in their intended places, and the planets sets are displayed in a row. It's also nice that these are out there so I can have a cheap pick-me-up if I need a little cheering up or a LEGO fix. I'd like to see the planets continue, but I'd like it if they just stick to the films for source material, like they have so far. I probably wouldn't buy ones based on EU or CW.
  11. Video game pre-order exclusive? ;)
  12. You're right. Although some of those vehicles were in both films, the minifigs are clearly from AotC. Maybe we will get more RotS sets next year, as the 3D release was originally intended for 2014.
  13. I have Arkham Asylum and R2-D2. I love Arkham. The detailing in the set is absolutely wonderful, and there are some cool play features and good minifigs. I have seen the Haunted House up close, but I don't own it. It looks great. So many things going on on the inside, but looks good all the way around on the outside too. R2-D2 is nifty, but it felt a little underwhelming for its price. The Republic Troooper pack as some cool-looking figs, but I've never played SWTOR, so they don't do much for me. I like the Clones and the Droidekas, and I think the Clone set has some useful pieces. Also, you can scrap down the Droidekas if you want more parts and fewer "figs"
  14. Why is he wearing a medal? Was that something in the Empire Strikes Out show? I haven't seen it.
  15. I think if the ghosts were to be done, they would be the pale blue color of NRG Zane from Ninjago. That would look decent
  16. Nice job, smoke belch. It wouldn't surprise me if the official model looks very similar or the same. Not a bad little cycle for a polybag. Maybe not as good as last years jet ski, but it's nice to see Robin get something at least.
  17. Drock replied to darkrebellion's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think it will just be heavy on AotC and not really RotS. Remember, the films were supposed to be rleased in 3D once per year. The announcement of RotS came too late for LEGO to sneak in sets in the 2013 lineup :/
  18. I would love that too (prefer the one from Batman89, though ) ! If I were any good at MOCing, I would have tried. I'm not sure how well the UCE Batmobile did back in the day, though.
  19. I just checked the Haunted House and it says "Sold and Shipped by Amazon." And it is at MSRP with free shipping
  20. It is light gray. The parts list in the back of the manual only lists it as light gray and not silver
  21. It probably will be, eventually. Amazon has the "LEGO Exclusive" Haunted House. I know they also had the UCS Imperial Shuttle. Many others too probably
  22. This is definatly not a set that you buy for the minifigs. I was more excited about them minifigs in the Mr. Freeze set. But I had always planned on buying both.
  23. My wife has the real camera out of town visiting family, so I snapped these with my phone, so sorry that the quality isn't the greatest. HTH.
  24. This made me laugh because when I have my Death Star down, my daughter puts everyone around the conference room table and says, "They're ready to eat dinner.". My minifigs usually just get to munch on the Wampa's drumstick, though.
