  1. You are too funny! The set still probably have a few hundred pieces, a $20 set has like 150 pieces now a days. I think the set is more of a $30ish dollar set, like the Beach House.
  2. I have no clue what you are complaining about, I'm just going to blame it on being made in China. Let's never talk about the LEGO Basketball minifigures.... let's pretend they are just some nightmare.
  3. Remember the first Atlantis picture? That was of the $15 trike thing that looked like a Power Miner set in red? That was the first picture released and it is the worst set in the theme. Plus this is different, huge death bike? What isn't to love? I'm hoping the rest of the theme is better. I was also hoping after the new Kingdoms theme we would get sets with human vs human instead of the insane human vs dead thnigs. Worked for Castle, doesn't seem to work so well with Ninjas and I'm kind of tired of it. I rather have Ninjas vs vampires, they are in style now anyways.
  4. Wow... talk about a boring Jan-March 2011 for the City theme! I know LEGO has to repeat Police sets every 3 years, but god could they be anymore of a lame rehash?! The station looks like the last one, the truck doesn't look special or different, the big van doesn't look different, just a bore! the boat looks OK, but just a blue version of the last few boats LEGO has made with that hull piece. The City Space is nice that it's different, do we have pictures of the moon buggy? However they just don't have a special feeling like Space Port had (and still has), I like them for the most part but they aren't as "magical" as I hoped if that makes since. The little rocket set with the van is nice, most likely will buy that and replace the red with blue to match the Space Port sets. The shuttle is just a mess. Thank god for the amazing $100 version we got this year.
  5. That's really nice! I love the blend of colors, it works really well. the blue building with the glass railing is really nice, I like it. The only thing jarring I see is the golden Atlantis gates, they just don't fit. I'm assuming that was done because that's the only color gates you have, so very nice work.
  6. Just get replacement pieces and keep complaining to LEGO until they fit it. A few torsos can easily (at least in the USA) be ordered and replaced until you are happy.
  7. So in Europe MegaBloks aren't sold? LEGO really thought they would win this? They are insane!
  8. It all depends on how much the items sell. It used to be you could find 1-3 year old sets in the stores, but that's long gone. I say you can find sets for about 18 months, but it depends on what it is. City sets with Police and Fire usually stay around until the next theme is released, about every 3 years. However the Fire truck is so great it's been for sale for 7-8 years. Action themes are 1-3 years, mostly two. However I don't think we were ever supposed to get a second wave of Power Miners, the first wave just sold really well. It begs the question why LEGO felt the need to release 14 PM sets the first year and 4 the next, but whatever. All LEGO says is that there will always be City, Castle, and Space themes, those are the classics. However Space sometimes means Star Wars, City came out of World City which was kind of modern / futuristic Town, and Castle gets redone when they run out of ideas.
  9. Next summer the Dragon people will probably get a $100+ castle set and will even out the forces. You can't give kids everything they want in one year, they don't have the money to buy two castles.
  10. I completely agree. Design wise they were very strong, but they didn't sale. That's why the Adventure theme died and LEGO thinks every set needs to have a car and action devices. I remember an interview talking about it years ago. I also remember getting most of the sets on clearance for at least 50%-75% off. The mountain temple is one of, if not my favorite LEGO "castle" ever.
  11. I doubt they will do India ever again. Those sets were a complete disaster (sales wise) and I don't see LEGO wanting to go back down that road.
  12. I stopped caring after Lego screwed up the first series and megabloksers screwed up the second. I want about six from both and its not worth it anymore to even go out looking for the. People buy 100+ and dont let the children get like 5.
  13. I wish Lego would make a $100 police HQ but then would make a smaller $50 police station.
  14. There was one with a working motor in 2005 for only $30. It was a good set.
  15. LEGO will make as many sets as they can think of / that sell well. However I swear I remember reading that LEGO had a three year plan for Atlantis.
  16. The price in the USA is $11. I think that is insane. The set is a fine set, it's OK, nothing special, probably a 68%-72%. The price prices it down to a 55%. Just horribly over priced!

I really like that idea, kind of a Halloween theme and Scooby Doo.
  18. How is that so? SP3 had at least 2 years and Atlantis will have 2 years. However I voted for Aquanauts and Aquasharks because they are part of the same theme to me, Aquazone 1995. Aqua Raiders 2007 is my second favorite. (I'm glad you spelled them correctly.) Divers is my third, just because they had like 20 sets in 1997, I got to buy about 2 of them, but they were all the same.

I think the official price of the set is $35. I like how the City Advent Calendars get worse and worse by the year, year that at least every other year, if not every year, the sets gain $5 in price and lose pieces (for the most part).
  20. Keep your LEGO space small, you will be living in the dorm (alone?! So not fair!) for a few months and you will realize that you will need the space to take up painting or some other new hobby, and classwork. You never have enough space as you think you have, less really is more. Also... this part no one here will like... You aren't in high school, it's time to grow a little, try new things and expand your views. Having a dorm room with random LEGOs on the floor will get in the way of that. I have discovered people secretly love LEGOs, but that there is a limit to wait they can take when you first meet them. I'm not saying change to fit it in, I'm just saying you will hopefully be busy with your studies and new friends and dates. Having new experiences will need the space and time for new things.
  21. No, there are useless pieces that should have never been made. The 1x2x2 and the 2x2x pieces are completely useless! Just use two 1x2 or two 2x2! I hate those pieces!
  22. This is the least shocking topic ever. He looks good, so that's something, but I rather my guys be yellow.
  23. The European price has almost no affect on the American price. If it's 55 Euro it cost still be $60, my guess is it will be $70. Maybe it has bigger pieces, Winter Toy Shop had a ton of small pieces. Who knows. LEGO isn't cheap and within 2-3 years a set like this will most likely cost $100.
  24. To answer your question, not a chance.
  25. That Han Solo is a joke. No hoodie? Shirt wide open? He's outside Hoth without a hat?
