What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
Maybe, but that ship is an incredible design. I love TIE variations!

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
I would have to say for Sith, Darth Malgus would be a top contender for me, but I also like the damaged Vader from the Rogue Shadow. For Jedi I would pick Ki-Adi Mundi as a favorite. ...oh, and I do like Jedi Jimmy just as a random fan favorite. I don't know who decided to change his name to Jedi Bob, but back in 2002 when 7163 first came out, everyone was calling him Jimmy.

How much is your SW collection worth?
I don't have a Bricklink account, and I didn't see a way on there to estimate my collection. Anyway, I'm sure in this group many of you have much more LEGO than I, but to add to the discussion, I have every Star Wars set that is minifigure based, plus a few minis and UCS sets that I liked. I drew the line at Mindstorms -- UGH! In addition, I buy a few "extras" of my favorite sets when I find them on sale, as well as duplicates I purchase as a side business to finance my LEGO "addiction". Before Star Wars, I collected classic space from 1978 to about 1984. I've also picked up a few random themes along the way like Insectoids, Alpha Team, Studios, Batman, etc. I have no idea what it's all worth, but after 13 years, at least $10k for what's been opened and assembled, plus probably 3x's that for sets still boxed. I'll try to post some photos of my display sometime in the display thread.

REVIEW 9497 - Republic Striker-class Starfighter
This is one of those sets that I'll get just because it's part of Star Wars LEGO, but it doesn't excite me all that much, just based on the design. To me, the ship is too busy looking -- maybe that's more the game designers problem than the LEGO designers, but still. I have not played the game, but as some one pointed out, there are other ships that could have been chosen over this one. I like that LEGO even tackles the EU at all, because it's something different, yet still has a "Star Wars-y" feel. I liked the Rogue Shadow design and look forward to the Fury especially. I am not too concerned about the price since I am one of the patient, wait-for-the-sales LEGO buyer. I'm sure this one will hit 30% off at Amazon later in the year, and that works for me.

Review: 9516 Jabba’s Palace
I like this set more now after seeing that they designed the exterior to look like the palace structure, and not just the back side of the interior walls. As always, could have been larger, but still nice. The figs are cool, but if I were strictly a minifig collector I would assume most of the exclusivity will go down the drain when the inevitable magnets are released. As far as the Gamorrean Guards, I too think LEGO went a bit too far with these. The headpiece makes them too tall, and for no obvious reason. Anyway, overall, great set as I love playsets as well as the opportunity to add some long overdue minifig characters.

MOD: 7661+7868 Obiwan Jedi Starfighter Hyper Ring
He didn't leave it behind. His droid took off in it to make it look like Obi-wan left after refueling, and also I assume to alert the clones to come to Utapau and attack Grievous...or am I misremembering the movie now?

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Wow, this is great! Palpatine's office has been seen in several scenes so I think that in itself adds value to the set. I have nothing to complain about. I am so tired of ship rehashes, so more playsets are a welcome sight to me. Next up, Mos Eisley Cantina (more than just a wall and a table) and perhaps the Jedi Temple room seen in all three prequels.

Darth Vader light/torch
EXACTLY! Couldn't agree more. The clocks (even at a slightly larger scale) are of zero interest to me, while this is exactly what the clocks should have been -- accessories included, plus some kind of panel to hide the clock on the torso when not in use would have been great. If I had to criticize, I would ask why they went with the frosty white plastic for the lightsaber instead of a more clear red plastic like the prototype. Other than that slight oddity, an amazing product! Can't wait to purchase. One thing I am curious about is if anyone has a photo comparison of this and the Vader lamp that has also been released. I saw it in stores and it is closer to $50. I am just wondering why the price is so much more for a bright saber lamplight vs. two led's and a dimmer saber light.

Pictorial Review: Stormtrooper LED Keychain
I absolutely love that they're making more of these. I got the Vader awhile back so the trooper is another must-buy for me. I have never gotten into the magnets, but I could see myself collecting these. The larger scale as well as the nice glossy plastic makes them very attractive for display.

Pictorial Review of Summer 2012 Star Wars Sets:
You may be right, I've never put a buzz on a two-sided head. I guess in the future, they need to design the hairpieces to be long enough in the back to account for the possibility of a two-sided head. I am happy they at least designed the cockpit to house all three figs instead of the wrong separate cockpits of the first Gungan sub. I modified mine years ago to be more movie correct.

[REVIEW] 7868 Mace Windu's JSF Se
I thought it was an average set, even when just comparing JSF's. Not LEGO's fault, but I would have hoped Mace would get a better looking ship. It's just sort of a mishmash of colors. I snagged one at Wal-mart right before they disappeared from shelves...

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Thanks for the photo of Vizsla's fighter. The design is somewhat similar to the T-6 Jedi shuttle with that rotating center, but I think I like the T-6 better. As for the darksaber, yah, I don't understand LEGO sometimes. A black katana is a much closer match than what they came up with. They could of at least given us a black hilt! Wow...

Pictorial Review of Summer 2012 Star Wars Sets:
Wow, most of these I am really looking forward to. The Malevolence is near the bottom of my list, even though I like seeing the ship/playset combos LEGO has been cranking out. One thing I find curious is why they again used the standard hairpiece for young Obi-wan. I substituted a buzzcut hairpiece for his previous yellow head version long ago -- more movie accurate and matches Ewan's hair perfectly...

Shirtless Darth Maul fig for trade
Hi -- If you still have the Maul available, I have a sealed chrome Vader. I'd be willing to do some kind of trade. I haven't looked at the values lately though. Thanks.

Darth Maul Promo Fig for sale/trade
Hi -- If you still have the Maul, pm me about how much you want for it. I have a sealed chrome Stormtrooper and sealed chrome Vader. Maybe we could work out a trade plus cash? Thanks.

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
I bought two of the new Anakin starfighters for the May 4th deal, plus I had been putting off finding a sealed white Boba Fett for sale. I had been hoping it would be more readily available in the U.S., but the price has been going up, so I snagged one off Amazon.

TC-14 Lego Promo
Wow, what a deal -- The poster is great and all, but an extra TC is a great "consolation prize".

Lucky LEGO finds
Probably the best deals I've found in the past was either the original Batcave for 50% off at Target or the UCS Batmobile for $15 at Walmart, what's that, 80% off? Haven't seen clearances like that lately, but every so often I get lucky...

Considering the unthinkable...
Well it sounds like your decision worked out for you and that's great. I got into Star Wars LEGO in 99 thinking it would last until EP3 came out. When they started doing remakes of previous sets I started to rethink collecting all the system scale sets, but generally, the redo's are better, so I have kept up with them all. I do pick and choose which UCS sets I buy -- some I don't care for, since they are just static models. But anyway, I'm glad it worked out for you. I think few people can really deal with collecting that many themes at once.

Future Star Wars Sets
For AOTC's 3D release next year, I would hope they would revisit Jango's Slave I. To me that's a no-brainer. AT-TE's and gunships though, as cool as they are, have been done fairly recently and are not exclusive to AOTC anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of Kamino clone training set, as that could double as a Clone Wars set. It would be nice to get some Kaminoan minifigs...

Fully chromed UCS Royal Naboo Starship
That is a great job. I wish there were some way LEGO would agree to produce the large Naboo ships. This one from TPM is arguably the most notable and recognizable, but I would like to see all of them. I would even take grey metallic parts over chrome, if it meant we would get some of these ships produced.

TC-14 Lego Promo
Whoa -- That's really crummy. I hope it was a mistake, and they can send you another one. I ordered the 4th and TC was listed on the invoice. He better be in the box when it arrives or there'll be **** to pay!

Review: 10225 R2-D2
Nice review, and one I've been waiting for. I was a bit surprised to see all the interior colors, but I suppose it helps with assembly. I'm still not convinced with the dome though. I can live with the body being chunky, but I think they should have made more of an effort to round out R2's head. The legs to me are perfect though.

[Review] 7778 Midi-scale Millenium Falcon
hmmm, i'm not sure what to think about this set. i picked up the occasional mini in the past, but i'm not sure if i want this at $40us. MAYBE on sale i would pick this up. i think the multitudinous stickers is what irks me (and on CURVED surfaces? that is a no-no lego). it just seems like lego didn't want to spend any extra money on this set. and yah, if i did get it (on sale), i would call lego for an extra sticker sheet in the event the curved cockpit stickers start peeling. as for design, it seems a little small. it could be a couple inches wider and longer and still qualify as "midi".
