  1. I think that's just the nature of the wedge shaped ships in LEGO format in general, can't really go around "copying" or arriving at the same techniques. Though def looks like you did your own thing, great job!
  2. I kinda dig tbh. It looks like a version of it living in the sequel era, repurposed by some scoundrel. Maybe I prefer that version even.
  3. According to this article ; https://brickset.com/article/62976/minifigure-scale-star-wars-vehicles it's actually too large still. At 28cm length it's closer to minifigscale (24,17cm) than any other official version though, at least going by length. Proportionally, yeah it looks chibi-ish. I really dig the look though, nice job!
  4. Fairly positive that game isn't canon. I really like the design though. At first glance I thought it was a harrower-class dreadnought, which is prob my favorite "star destroyer" design.
  5. I really dig the midi-scale concept. The edges of the triangle shapes look a bit rough but everything else is spot on! I hope TLG doesn't stop at Slave 1 with the midi builds.
  6. Slid down like in the first movie I think he might mean, though I don't think your model does that.

That does look really great, the batarang on the back kinda ruins it though.
  8. @BrickG It also has twice as much pieces to be fair.
  9. That's the 7b model (TCW tv-show version), where the droid is seated in a full socket in the center. We have enough of those already imo.
  10. I don't see how this is supports your theory. The head doesn't separate, it telescopes upward. At least according to incredible cross-sections, the lower body in the movie probably just enters some kind of extra-dimensional pocket like the lower body does in the movie eta-2's (the lower half of the legs/torso literally disappear in the movie). Adding a socket ruins the sleekness of the craft, on top of it not being canon. I would hate that personally. LEGO eta-2 already look really silly with a fullsize socket. I'm hoping they just add the lower body separate like they did with the LEGO V-wing.
  11. When they first released information about them they stated that while they were designed for atmospheric flight they are also space worthy. I edited my post to clarify that I meant battlefront space battles.
  12. In-universe the Delta-7 Aethersprite Light Interceptor (episode 2 model) doesn't feature a full droid socket is what I meant. Every lego model featured with a full astromech socket actually has one in-universe.
  13. I don't think they did, they are in wing-up mode in the space battles (in battlefront) as well. Wing-down is probably atmospheric mode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCeR8CVirss btw what does the second picture depict? it's not working for me.
  14. It's shorter than the 2007 at least, I sadly don't have the 2012 to compare though. The 2013 ISD is also smaller/shorter than it's previous version but tbh that's the only other set I can think of at the top of my head.
  15. That never actually happened with a canon starfighter model as far as I'm aware. If it features an astromech I would wager it's not the episode 2 version then.
  16. Episode 2 starfighter's astromech is just a dome. Obi-wan had it, his red astromech, retrofit with a body sometime between episode 2 and 3. Canonically the Delta-7 (episode 2 starfighter) shouldn't have a removable astromech. TLG has only included droid sockets with jedi starfighters (TCW and episode 3 versions) because they actually featured them in universe.
  17. What are you saying even, you edit in a personal attack but you don't fix the gibberish? And I'm just stating fact, BPs have increased in price year over year in dutchlandia. Which is where the list is from afaik. I suppose I should have been more clear but there's no need to be all passive-aggressive. My post wasn't even about price specifically, it was about it being highly unlikely that the new battle packs will have more pieces than usual.
  18. Wouldn't get your hopes up, battle packs were 13-15 euros last year and now they are 17-18 a pop without any additional pieces.
  19. Here in the Netherlands the OT stuff, microfighters and constraction figs will be released about a month after the rogue one stuff in retail stores. They are already available on the LEGO webstore but they didn't release at the same time as the earlier rogue one winter wave sets afaik.
  20. What currency is that in? For reference US dollars are currently worth 1,04 euros. Also what is that video, the link doesn't work.
  21. So prices,Euro's are worth about 1.04 USD atm, in the Netherlands (probably the same for the rest of europe): 75165 - Imperial Battle Pack 4 figs 111pcs €18 75164 - Rebel Battle Pack 4 figs 120pcs €18 75173 - Luke's Landspeeder 4 figs 149pcs €30 75168 - Yoda's Starfighter 2 figs 262pcs €35 75169 - Dual on Naboo 3 figs 208pcs €35 75174 - Desert Skiff 4 figs 277pcs €45 75170 - The Phantom 3 figs 269pcs €45 75175 - A-Wing 3 figs 358pcs €55 75171- Battle on Scarif 4 figs 419pcs €70 75172 - Y-Wing 5 figs 691pcs €80 So everything except the Y-wing is redonkulously priced this wave. I don't even know where to start with the complaints. Not sure if I've ever seen anything overpriced this badly here, aside from that €140 Ahsoka fig that came with a baguette. I suppose I'll just have to wait until the rest goes on sale/clearance, oh wait that never happens here...
  22. Oh my LEGObricks, please just no... this discussion has been done to death and is absolutely pointless.
  23. The review for it on Brickset has photos of it docked with the Ghost, spoilers: it looks terrible. It also has no stud connections.
  24. This post is exactly why people are bragging.

Yeap the rogue one version seems to be upgraded. It has an extra engine, tantive iv style escape pods and some pods stuck to the ends of the (what I'm assuming are) airlocks. The fins between the hull and the engines are also quite a bit longer and there's a new one between the lower engine and lower hull. I think you have a nice starting point. Although I don't really like the texture, but that's not something unique to this MOC. It looks a bit too smooth, which is very true to the rebels show but sort of boring I think. Anywho looking forward to the further progress.
