Like Tie Bomber, thats kinda small sets but they fit somewhere 623 pieces. At least minifigures are good. Or beach van from March 2023, that sets cost 59 euros but its only aroun 500 pieces . Thats crazy for creator set.. Im happy that I bought this year many sets at reduced price, but I think i miss 2023 completely.

Lego did very sly move with 2023 sets, most sets have same price point as always but they are decreasing these sets in size a pieces. Im definitely double checking these new sets, good times are behind us.

This commercial is definitely weird, when I first saw It I miss whole building part and I was so confused because of Kate Perry. First lego ad with famous person? And people wonder why lego sets are pricier ...

Biggest nitpick, too much stickers and how the managed to ruin hood by studs. Brian face also looks weird, I can live without it... Anybody seen Miles Morales spidey car from Morbius set? Nice 8 stud wide, seed champions style rocket car. I probably pick it instead of this.

I have my doubt about sets looking and number of parts. They are pretty low based on shapes of cars and Im aware, that they will be cutting brickbuild details and giving there even more stickers and prints than usual. Countach from this year is very bad set, because major technical details of this car are stickers and if they are put of, its completely different car.

Lego price increase and lowering pieces in sets albeit fitting same price range will very affect lego... First set with this was avatar helicopter one, and geez I feel so robbed for that price I paid. For same price last year I get big triangle Eternals spaceship set and two brickbuild creatures with 1000 pieces. In this chaos and recession up ahead will be lego first hobby to be cutted off from me. Still get my eyes on basic creators set and speed champions. But I will be very picky if these sets doesnt meet my standards.

Ferrari needs to be completely unique, or it will look like Supra. And if Mclaren is not three seater Im boycotting this set, well I dont expect fully functional three seats but steering wheel in center for sure.

Well Pandora whale is pretty overpriced even for my liking. If it was Creator earth whale set, it will cost around half. I already see these sets bombing easily for these prices. When I bought Samson, I did remark that Star Wars is better value for price. But Im already planning to use that container on train flatbed. So I will have some usage at last.

I just read your post and looking on utopia. I think it will be most recognizable modern car from speed champions line. Looking at parts, which is lowest is probably true. They put some curved bricks with huge canopy on top a call it a day, just mark my world.

Dont get me wrong I also like cars, trains, space shuttles and helicopters People can like various things at once. I never had problem as kid to play with Barbies from girls, well that barbie was desirable only with car to correct this. I think kids will play with anything, mind like girls like only barbies and boys like only cars is definitely wrong from my view.

Speaking of these sets, are people really obsessed with Pandora animals? When first avatar came, I was 16 years old and with friends we only talked about these futuristic albeit not so out of touch helicopters. I completely forget about this movies for few years, which is suprising because I really love Camerons work and that movie was behemoth in cinemas. But remember two things for sure, blue people and and these military vehicles. I really hoped that Avatar sets will be gate to scifi military vehicles, but Im so wrong so far... Definitely disappointment. We never get lego Whale as set, which is worldwide known animal, but Pandora whale gets one. Definitely Im thrilled to buy set based on CGI animal/sarcasm off.

Thats how lego operates since 90s. They say how they are progressive, but its same old story...

I bought that flying mountain set just for Samson Helicopter with stand and human characters and some avatars on top. I feel kinda robbed for that price, but hey at least some avatar sets that I wish was in 2009. Maybe I buy also mech set with Quarritch. Next wave is just meh, I expected better balance between military vehicles and Navi animals. Its kinda weird how lego try to make avatar sets family friendly as possible. When avatar is kinda violent.

I was young boy and I always like Belville, Paradisa and even I had two sets from Scala. My city was small, but I had there shops, bank, rural airport. I always dig peaceful part of this. I never had military toys and guns, because my father doesnt like it. They did bank last year and guess what, they put in there whole Swat Commando and bank robbers gang inside. Sad state of city sets, or what lego sees as good playability. This is nothing new, this started when lego town became lego city. Nobody wants to live in crime infested areas in real life, so why buy sets with this theme for kids if is there nice place to live which is Heartlake city .

And high usage of technic panels. I see some bricks in yellow, that I had as kid in dune buggy in year 2002. Not mention boxart with photoshoped racetrack, this screams racers/technic from that era too. This set was meant to be released around year 2003, but they postponed it to 2023. Its joke, Bollide is new car .

Its me or that bollide screams its set released in early 00s? Which I really dig, because its nice throwback. Its definitely something different from modern technic aesthetics.

In my opinion get good investment in lego is now joke. Not mention basic and popular stuff gets after few years overhaul making always new version better in every aspects. And when I see what people expect to pay for some older sets with basic parts is always fun game, because these sets were basic stuff with few parts easily made from new bricks. Well if somebody needs these huge specialized pieces plaguing lego in late 90s its probably only way. What its only making sense now is selling exclusive minifigures. This is big deal right now and lego knows it.

I see city sets completely lackluster and inferior in every way conpared to Friends set. Its amazing how two town oriented themes from same company can be executed so badly and perfectly at the same time. Its pretty mind boggling... Design wise, pieces price ratio, playability etc . I can only hope for friends train one day, it will put city ones to shame for sure.

There was somebody claimed, that this set doesnt meet their expectations hence only one year lifespan. But they said same thing even when they discontinued Horizon Express hence killing creator expert trains for 7 years. Still dont know what are their expectations, but it seems like excuse to dump creator trains for good. Here in republic there is someafol that is selling MOCs of trains from lego bricks and I see them flying of shelves. Ferina Trains , its czech shop selling czech locomotives and wagons in classic 6 wide stuff. If its viable for afol in free time, why is not viable for lego?

This set is biggest lego train nonsense I have ever seen, and Orient Express will be second if they go same route. There are people with lego train layouts, going strong for decades, there is L gauge. And they bring this... 120 cm length static train, nobody asked for this!HP fans or Train fans. Im HP and train fan and I hate this. They said crocodile locomotive sold badly, so why second market prices are so high and this locomotive was sold out here immediately after EOL . Why they sold it only for one year... Seriously too much questions and so little answers. Im so furious thinking about this set, seriously worst set of year for me.

I see this set as complete display disaster . Dusting, maintaining pieces in perfect allignemt or accidentally knocking some area of Eiffel tower. I have dog, definitely he will knock it with tail for sure.... My purchase will going to lego store to see it, and then proceed to buy something completely different . My nitpick? Where is restaurant on first floor, when I was on eiffel tower in 2005 there were some stores on these floors. Well this set is 10001 pieces so why not crank it up a bit and go extra mile.

Thats why I like older cars, they are always perfect in speed champions form. This year summer wave was pefection for me. Two great old cars and my favourite movie heroes. For modern car I have evija and In lego form is just random modern supercar .

Too much modern supercars in this wave, F1 and Skyline are great offender, but I more like historic sports and muscle cars.

Really interesting sets, but truly out of my league for room and what i see as fun build.

And whats with these non city train sets from lego, when its only one wagon in set and second is not available for purchase standalone. Any train, looks better at least with two wagons. Perfect offender was horizon express, because buying two sets guaranteed whole train.I heard it was flop, I dont get it. Maersk was good too, because its freight train and two wagons are already included. Even Crocodile locomotive, because was standalone. But hey, these were mobile sets so it makes sense even more. My point of view on these statue sets are, that they are complete bollocks . Train enthusiast love trains rolling, I never heard of someone who buy train sets without any means to run once a while. And lego trains are even niche market that will suffer from these statue sets, sets that are 120 cm long ... I dont know trains are dead, city trains are only producing high speed units. And one measly freight locomotive in 4 years span. Steam trains in 6 studs widely available are only hogwarts express. Ok I get it, they trying to reinvent wheel, but there is no need to reinvent something that already lego sees as niche market . Mocing sets are pricier, so I buying instead of trains Speed Championships cars. I love lego trains, but I dont have any power to like it like I used before.
