  1. For the last time indeed, let's have a chat.
  2. Great advice. When I reclaimed my childhood LEGO I had a few sets still built and on display at my parents house, including a BSB. Washing them each individually with soap is a tedious task but you only need to do it once and it's totally worth it.

No you nailed it, except I also crochet.
  4. Hello and welcome to Eurobricks, please try to use proper capitalization and punctuation when posting. Thank you.

Please don't instruct other members on how to act, if you see a post that you have a problem with please report it and the moderators will deal with it. Thank you.
  6. Indeed it is and to avoid any further confusion I'm going to close this thread. Please continue any LotR discussion in the 2013 thread. Thank you.
  7. Please refrain from quoting posts with large images and then only aging one sentence. It adds clutter to the form. Instead remove the images before clicking submit. Thank you.
  8. If you know you are mini modding and know its something we don't like, otherwise you wouldn't have pointed out, then why do it? If you have a problem with a post or feel a thread has gone off topic please use the report button and let the staff handle it. We do not like members advising other members how to act or how to use a thread. You are but danklaiber posted a giant list with little discussion. If he had brought up a few ideas and discussed them that would be different, but what we have is a big list that is just a wish list, unless some sources were listed that I missed. Rumors are fine, but big wish lists are not. Also please do not argue with the regulators, they deserve the same respect the moderators get. Thank you.

The gallery on EB is more meant for staff to use for hosting images for the front page or other forum uses. In the past gallery permissions have changed from time to time depending on your rank. At this point it's kind of a low priority but we've always said we are a forum, not an image hosting site. Most people have their main collections on flickr or brick shelf.

His pirate skull flag is for his participation in the classic-pirates.com blog. His bluecoat flag might have something to do with the bluecoats, search the pirate forum and you'll probably figure it out
  11. I must say I don't really think I need any of these sets, which is a relief for me since I still plan to but the UCS Xwing and the Jabbas Palace/Rancor Pit combo. I like these sets but I already have the original sail barge and the 2nd version of the gunship, so I think my pocketbook is safe this round.
  12. I am desperately behind on indexing MOC's, and I do apologize. I promise I shall get caught up in the coming weeks.
  13. Usually my favorite part about a stellar review is getting to experience the set without having to own it, but I am getting this set no matter what. So now I get to marvel at what is a Rufus Review. Simply outstanding! You cover sets in such great detail it's hard to believe you were ever taking advice from me . You are without a doubt one of the top EB reviewers ever! I do not own the original so the comparison was very welcome and appreciated. I am surprised at how similar they are but that also reassures me that by obtaining the new one (which has better color IMO) I am getting everything I need. For me the biggest noticable difference is the thrusters. I like the new ones because like a current jet engine you can adjust the flaps or whatever they are called to adjust the thrust, it just looks more realistic. A fantastic review and an awesome set that I cannot wait to add to my collection.

Please refrain from bumping a 4 year old thread only to say you like the set. Bumping of old threads is OK if the discussion can be brought current and you have something to add to the conversation. Otherwise it confuses members since they might not view the thread as old and try to discuss it as if it was an active thread. Often MOC's are no longer put together after so many years.
  15. Ooooooo, I must get the wizard battle. Awesome pics Grogal.
  16. I think it's great that TLG is doing an UCS style set for something other that Star Wars, although the open back is dissapointing to me. Also this sounds greedy but I wish it was bigger so there was more room on the top, I know LEGO is never 100% to scale but the top of the tower seems way to small to recreate any scene from the movie. Still awesome and would make a bitchin display piece.
  17. Please refrain from bumping old topics without adding any new discussion. This thread is over 3 years old.
  18. I think many people are not reading the original thread from 2011. Captain Red Hat nailed it on the head, a forum is meant for discussion, not nameless likes.
  19. I was just about to merge this thread with the one from 2011. I'll leave it for you to decide.

Bumping a 4 year old thread to not add anything of value is already a bad move, but to bump it just to say the pictures are crap? Please be more courteous in the future and do not bump an old thread if you have nothing constructive to add.
  21. Right, we often have theme months. During a theme month our banner will likely change. Sometimes we include the phrase, and sometimes we don't.
  22. Once you know what kind of printer it is, chances are you could buy one, somewhere.

That's good news, there is nothing that rubs me the wrong way more than cheaters.
  24. Sounds like a Windows Phone problem, and of course IE. I use chrome beta as well as my android stock browser and both yield me either the mobile or desktop site, whichever I select.
  25. A great review. This is a surprise t me because I'm so behind on everything that I didn't even know about the War machine fig, this makes the set a must buy for me. I love your comparisons to the real pictures, it really helps to identify the details TLG chose to add.
