I voted the Battle of Endor, hands down, the fig's are priceless, well priceless as in $100
  3. That's spectacular, I love the story line, and the set ups are sweet. Very nice work.
  4. I didn't make the cut in Zephers game, if you'll have me I'd like to play.

Holy cow, I new shell was the same but I never new of all the other brands they have used. Good observation!
  6. Sweet! I love the red on there, I haven't seen the show but even without that, it looks very accurate to batmobiles of the past.

  9. The idea of a ucs indie set is very appealing but it seems to be a star wars thing only. I got all excited by this topic title because I thought it was news on a ucs set. Oh well, we can hope.
  10. Interesting little read, curious that nothing better is going on in NYC than to talk about LEGO Don't get me wrong I love LEGO but most of New York probably doesn't care. Good for LEGO.

I supose someone of his status deserves his own thread, even though there was a birthday thread for everyone today. Happy birthday bonapart!
  12. amen to that, its a cool commercial. Mistakes can happen. I had'nt seen it yet, so thanks to the original poster.
  13. Happy birthday september 5th'ers!
  14. Nice review, I wish these were available in the US, LEGO sure raised the bar with free promo sets, a free stormie, who would have guessed.
  15. I'd love to pay if there is a spot open for me. I'm on mon-fri 7-4 at least, I have no vacations planned and I've been reading about these games and would love to try one. I'm on EB a lot, in fact there is apparently some controversy on if I'm here too much. I love mystery's and think it would be fun, I won't let you down if you slot a spot open for me. Nick
  16. Great topic but really hard to choose. I'd say dark blue or alot of the trans clear colors. Like trans green or red. I wish there were more things they could make in the trans clear colors.
  17. We can only hope so, if nothign else, I'll be looking forward tot he new game.

My guess is battle packs have turned into a cash cow for LEGO and they realize 9.99 was a pretty good deal but 10.99 is still fair, which is is for the number of fig's you get. It's basic supply and demand, sucks for us, good for TLG.
  19. I have the same problem with my wife, she likes LEGO's too but doesn't like me dropping $100 on a single set, she thinks it's too expensive of a hobby.

Well the 3S-GTE engines should eb easy to find on ebay but they are getting old. They haven't made them in a good number of years so parts might start becoming scarse. I think you'd have much better luck going with the Mitsu's EVO engine, it's newer and more efficient as well as more available. My guess is 10,000-15,000 on the 3S-GTE, the EVO engine will cost more off the back but excluding the cost of the enige you could reach 350-450 for under 10k for sure. It all depends on the parts you go with. Also it would depend on how much custom fabrication may or may not be needed to get the engine to fit in the chasis you are using.
  21. Ah, good point, I take back my suggestion. Can't expect them to discount it for everyone early.
  22. The fig that originally came with the hair looks so much bigger than a minifig. Did you only have to dremel off the peg, or did you have to dremel down the hair too?
  23. WOW. That was deep, and so very true. Kind of sad in the end.

Money 500hp is no problem from those motors. The '3S-GTE' was used in the early 90/s celica's. the all-trac ones, I knew a few people with those and they easily tuned them close to 300bhp with very little, mostly external modifications. If you do it right and spend the right amount of money, you could easily make a realiable 500bhp daily driver.
