Very nicely done, that would actually be a sweet set, all those minifigs.
  5. Seems to be a little silly with LEGO reproducing all it's vastly popular Pirate sets. Plus as mentioned before, Disney is the future for LEGO

Seems like LEGO knows how to make money, and they know what kid's like. I've never seen the show but my 6 year old Nephew loves it so it seems to bea Cash Cow that LEGO wan't to milk.

I remember being a kid and going into the giant toys r us store in Minneapolis MN, becasue my Grandma lives there and I ended up getting a few little sets but I got Black Seas Barracuda for Christmas. No need for images, there are already so many in this thread.

I was about to report this till I read your username. BTW I'm still tall and my last name still starts with CAM.

That is a great piece of software. No if only I had the baseplates to make my layout a reality.
  10. My foot is so far in my mouth right now. I didn't know it had the original 3 episodes again. I jumped the gun.

I too started using brickset just a few weeks ago, I finally cataloged all my old sets from when I was a kid back in the 80's (I'm old) lets see if my computer wizardry can manage to get my link for everyone to enjoy. http://www.brickset.com/search/?ownedBy=Big+Cam
  13. I'm at work for another 3 hours and then I'll be going home to let out my new puppy, but no one cares because this information is not important and no one knows me
  14. OK, the cover is ridiculous, it shows Indie's Dad in the cart and Indie holding a Crystal Skull, um hello, Indie's Dad was dead at the begining of the 4th movie.
  15. No link = no care. But even if it is true, Lucas is just hoarding money, you don't mess with something that is perfect. He was just itching for money when he made number 4 and look how that turned out. I think he did the right thing with Star Wars in going off onto other venues like the cartoon series adn the new TV series coming. George Lucas may be a brilliant man but he doesn't always know when to stop.
  16. Glad to hear it, unnecessary sub-forums just clutter up a good forum.
  17. I guess i wont be asking my question then. I was going to say why not change the settings to allow it in other forums, but nevermind

Very interesting thread, I thought the site was made up more of AFOL's but I think the younger kid's are outnumbering us. Here is one or two or me.

I technically didn't buy them today, but Echo Base finally came off of backorder, adn I got the sepratist shuttle about a week ago. Currently building a lightbox so I can start reviewing.

I'll add my story and advice/warning. I'm 27 and I have lots of lego's from my childhood late 80's early 90's. When i finally went home to ge tthem, I had a bunch of sets asembled in my parents basement and the dust was so thick and nasty, you couldn't blow it off or even wipe it off. I actually took all my sets apart, piece by piece, and cleaned them with a rag and bucket of water and a towel to dry them. It took me weeks, literally. I'll never leave a set assembled and not dust it for more than a month. A little bit of canned air goes a long way. As long as you dust them off or blow them off every now and then, they will be fine, and in perfect display condition.
  21. Nice setup, looks like that would be pretty scaring, waking up thinking you were there.
  22. Great read!

Thanks for refering me to this thread, it was a great read, so many funny titles, yet so many unexplained titles still.
  24. I have a Blackberry Curve and have used it many times to look up LEGO information, I even ordered from Shop@home while ina car on an early Saturday morning to make sure I got in on the free star wars poster offer, which I did. :)
