  1. Bit of a bump. Still have this very rare collectible set... So how about £300!!! A great price for a very very rare Star Wars set...
  2. Hey, I have an unopened Han Solo on Tauntaun - Miniland Scale (LLCA Ambassador Pass Exclusive) set I'm looking to sell- http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=LLCA53-1 Set comes in a clear Lego bag- with instructions and 3 numbered bags inside. A very rare and hard to find set. Shot of the set- the main bag is ziplock, only opened to show the contents, the parts bags have never been opened. I'm selling UK only, and looking for £1,500 shipped... But happy to consider offers. Message me with any questions! Thanks for looking! Cheers, Mark
  3. Yay! Genuinely wonderful to see the thread still going strong after all these years! :) Sorry don't check out the boards much these days- but some brilliant photography you guys are doing! Here's one from me from a few months ago- I'm still shooting away whenever I get a chance! ;) Scout Troopers by smokebelch, on Flickr
  4. Heres my custom Wuher- heads from the same set as the Brown Sideburns one (Lone Ranger Stagecoach) Not quite as grizzled- but the darker colour is a bit closer I think, and like this hairpiece a bit better. Nice to have someone behind the bar as well now ;)
  5. Cheers Guys! Quick portrait of everyones favourite slimy piece of worm ridden filth! A slimy piece of worm-ridden filth! by smokebelch, on Flickr
  6. Hey guys! Nice to see the thread still ticking over nicely- some cool shots being posted
  7. Not 100% sure if its from China or Mexico, but it is the slighty different quality ABS like the collectable minifigs so I would think its China. No printing on the neck as well which usually means its China.
  8. Cheers for all the comments- glad you like the review
  9. Thanks for all the nice comments on my review Nice to see some love for the minifigure too- I really like it though i agree it doesn't quite have the 'wow' factor as some of the previous may the forth figures. Icing sugar for the snow... we'd run out so I had to make a special trip to the shops for some for the review. Really can't beat it for Lego snow- though it does manage to get everywhere!
  10. Doh! Cheers, just corrected it
  11. Name: Han Solo (Hoth) Theme: Star Wars Year: 2013 Pieces: 5 Minifigs: 1 Price: (free as part of 'May The Forth Be With You' promotion) Intro: I've always been impressed with the amazing reviews found here on eurobricks, and I've always wanted to do one myself... So thought I'd give it a go and start with a nice easy one! Here we have the Han Solo in his Hoth Outfit from Empire Strikes Back- which is this years promotional figure free with certain purchases from the Lego store. There has been a lot of debate/ controversy over the actual colour of Han's Hoth jacket over the years. Originally the Kenner action figure from 1980 had a dark blue jacket, which is the colour the jacket 'appears' to be in some shots of the film. When you actually see the prop jacket from the film it quite clearly is dark brown, and there have been many different action figures over the years since with either brown or blue jackets. To date Lego's version of Han has only been outfitted with the blue jacket, with just a change in design of hood to differentiate the two... But now we have a brown jacket version- which from what I have read on forums so far continues to cause debate over the 'true' colour of the coat. For what its worth I think I ultimately prefer Blue as the jacket colour, but thats mostly due to the memories of the old Kenner action figure which I still own from my childhood! Polybag: Usual Polybag with the Yoda header seen with all the current Star Wars products this year. Polybag Front and Back Its worth noting that despite the colour on the packaging the hood does match the jacket colour correctly- very strange that they left the image as is on the front... Polybag Contents Minifig: Not much assembly required as only the minifig in the set. We get Han resplendent in his Hoth outfit, along with a spare hairpiece so you can show Han with or without his hood. Unfortunately Han is weaponless in this set, so he's gonna have to rely on Chewie if he comes across any Probe Droids! Front, Back, and Alternate Faces Han has a really nice double sided face. One side has a great 'And I thought they smelled bad on the outside!' grimace on it, the other has his face covered and his goggles down for when he has his endure the freezing temperatures on Hoth. Comparison with Blue Coat Han My original Hoth Han is boxed away at the moment, but here is the New version (right) with the last Han (left) also with the new style hood. Han and his Tauntaun* (*Tauntaun not included in polybag!) And a couple of shots with Han and his Tauntaun in action! Ratings Now I know that from feedback I've seen that a lot of people think this figure is a bit of a letdown after the last couple of 'may the forth' promos. I would agree that he would probably have fit in better in the last Hoth set that got released, rather than an exclusive promotional figure. But that said I really like the figure so I've rated him highly, and as an original trilogy collector Im glad to have him in my collection. Playability: 10/10 Hard one to rate, but ultimately I think minifigures are endlessly playable so Im giving full marks on this one. Design: 10/10 No new parts, but I think the design on this latest update of Hoth Han really nails it. The double sided head is excellent as well. Price: 7/10 Well technically this is a free figure when you spend over a certain threshold- though these are already appearing in the wild. I got mine from a trade, so depending on what you spend to obtain this figure I would adjust the price scale accordingly. Minifigure: 10/10 Well the whole set is the minifigure, personally I really like him- so full marks again on this. Parts: 8/10 Nice that you get the spare hair piece so you can have Han with or without hood, but a blaster is sorely missed here. Overall Score: 45/50 Well thanks for reading my first review- let me know what you think of both the review and the figure. And I thought they smelled bad... On the outside!!
  12. ^^^ Cheers guys! One more alternate shot- Sandtrooper by smokebelch, on Flickr
  13. Thanks! Cheers! Wish I could spend more time getting some shots of these guys- don't live near the beach anymore, and just squeezed in a quick couple of shots whilst I had a chance.
  14. Taken me a year since the new Sandtroopers came out, but finally managed a trip to the beach yesterday and smuggled along a passenger for a quick shot ;-) Sandtrooper by smokebelch, on Flickr
  15. Yeah I know he meant mixing in with the completly tiled floor- I just like the broken floorboards sticking through effect already in the set with the front entrance. Just extended it across all the rooms, and added a few of the printed tiles. Personally I think it gives it a more 'broken down' feel than a completly tiled floor. Looking forward to seeing how everyone else has modded theirs- post up some pics!
  16. Just got some spare printed tiles, gonna have a play round with the flooring on mine. Think I'll try for something like the entrance by the front door to give a broken floorboards look throughout the house. Just a few tiles here and there, will see how it turns out. Edit- Added the tiles, was going for a look like the hallway in the set rather than a complete tiled look... Think I kinda like it though not 100% sure... What do you guys think?
  17. Few shots of my minor mods on the Haunted House- nothing major just more monsters added, and a few tweaks here and there. Sorry bout the flash, only had time for a few quick snaps-
  18. Nice thread, have just recently got my Haunted House and have been tweaking mine too. Must say I find the attic completly tiled goes against the broken down feel of the set, maybe try random boards like in the area by the front door perhaps- I've been thinking of doing this to mine. I've added a few 1x1 and 1x2 tiles to the stairs to give them a broken down look like the steps out front. Apart from that just added on some more ghosts and other monsters. Added a skeleton under the stairs, and a 'hanging' skeleton up in the attic. Also made a little table for the rather bare front area by the door- just a few telescopes, and a plate. Also added the shrunken head from the Harry Potter bus set, in a jar- fits in nicely withnthe feel of the set :) Will try and take a few shots to post my tweaks when I get a chance.
  19. Was on the fence for the longest time over this set. I knew I would love it, but justifing the price for it was hard. Finnally got the set and have to say its well worth the money. It looks amazing, and the playability is great too. I guess its unlikely to see any major price reductions, and I can well see this being worth a fair bit once the set is retired (not that there is any sign of that happening soon) My one small critisism would be a few parts of the interior are a bit sparse (ie the ground floor), but thats the fun of lego adding your own additions to the set. The Ghost/ Grandfather clock polybag is a must, as it fits in perfectly. I've also added in most of the other monsters from the series which fills out the set nicley.
  20. As with most of my shots, just lit with a torch app on my ipod touch- did some with a 'yellow' light, and kinda liked how that looked so thats the one I posted up. Haha yeah cheers! Thought it was time for a new one... Added 'me' dissapearing down the Rancors throat for that personal touch
  21. Haha glad you guys liked the Rancor shot... Still can't believe the first thing I did when I got my Rancor was to make him some poop!
  22. The Rancor by smokebelch, on Flickr Well the Rancor Pit may be very expensive... But the Rancor so darn good its worth it!
  23. Ok so got my Rancor today... And just couldn't help myself! Thought you guys may enjoy this- You're gonna need a bigger bucket... by smokebelch, on Flickr
