  1. Yeah, i much prefer outdoor shots as well, I enjoy shoots on the beach and in the woods the most... but yeah your right the weather really limits the timeframe- esp with the rubbish summer we are having in the UK! Nice Sandtrooper shot by the way
  2. Thanks Big Cam, you should post some of your shots up here- be cool to see em My indoor shots are not done with a lightbox- though i do keep meaning to make one! Here's a few posts from the beginning of the thread in regard to how i light most of my indoor shots- its pretty low-tech
  3. Finally got all the pieces from Brinklink through to make Kaitimar's awesome Spinner Had been trying to make one of my own but was having no luck, admited defeat when i saw his increadible MOC. Thought id take a quick shot showing it off with Gaff behind the wheel
  4. Got the new BrickForge Pauldrens in so thought id take a couple more Sandtrooper shots with them showing them off They are really nice- I hope they are going to do them in Orange and White as well, if not think i'll have to paint a couple...
  5. Thought id take a couple of quick shots as i've not done any in a while- nothing special just a couple of At-At driver shots, and one of my Chrome Vader HI Zzz, thanks glad you like my shots- sorry i've not had much time recently so haven't been able to do many new ones. There are some Indy shots up on my Flickr page- check out the Lego Set for them- Lego
  6. Yeah, i tend to be a bit of a perfectionist- but thats not necessarily a good thing! I'll tend to go a bit over board with my shots some times, i can end up taking hundreds of shots of the same thing, and if there is one small thing i dont like in all of them i'll start from scratch and chuck em all. Can be quite time consuming! I've just started a new job so havn't had any free time to take any shots recently- im getting withdrawal symptoms Love your new Tatooine shots Really great series- the black and white really suits the theme- glad someones keeping this thread alive
  7. Great new Endor shots fenris Love the angle on the AT-ST shot (6th one down)- makes it look huge, gives it a really good sense of scale. Can't wait to see more of your shots
  8. Some great shots there, nice work Love Vader on his throne and the outdoor shots are really nice, some great effects with the water, and the Shadow trooper group shots are excellent. Be cool to see these in the photo thread as Skipper says.
  9. Nice work everyone, great to see some new shots up here Been real busy last few weeks so ive not had any time to get some new shots up, but enjoying seeing your photos up here-keep em coming
  10. Thanks, the chainsaw just slids onto the minifig hand- holds it in place pretty well.
  11. Nice work Its a good shot- nicely lit as well, great stuff keep em coming be nice to get other folks shots up in the thread Thanks Got all my guns from little armory years ago. The new BrickArms Star Wars guns are looking pretty nice though, cant wait to get a couple.
  12. Thanks very much for all the comments Alas cause these would technically be movie license figs they arn't eligable for the comp. Yeah Gaff wears one in the movie, but Deck doesn't- but i liked this torso so used it anyway Thanks Yeah Gaff was always one of my favs as well, It was after re-watching the film for the umpteenth time the other day, and looking at the Indy Shanghai chase set and thinking that the gangsters head would make a great Gaff minifig that promted me to make the pair of them. Im kinda tempted to have a go at some of the replicants now as well....
  13. Thought id post up my Deckard & Gaff from Blade Runner minifigs- Seen quite a few Deckard customs but thought this torso was a good match, & the Gaff torso seemed perfect Had a go at making the coats myself out of a couple of capes, think they turned out ok- tried using the hole punch method on the arm holes... but my hole punch just made a mess of it, cut tiny holes with a knife in the end- was pretty fiddly!
  14. Was a new one actually (photo that is- i saved the sugar from the old shots just for this one ) Waited for my wife to be out before i got the sugar everywhere again! I also ordered some brown studs for the Tauntaun poo just for this shot...
  15. 'Its a dirty job, but someone's got to do it' Feel free to insert your own joke about them smelling bad on the outside
  16. Nice work Thats pretty cool, it would have worked well in the shot too
  17. Thanks Future74 Hehe- i think once they saw the Lego they would have probably been relieved, god only knows what they would have thought id been shooting otherwise And i've now got used to all the strange looks i get! Its all worth it for a great shot
  18. Thanks Commander Flash Here's one more Dewback shot And the Jutland Wastes are not to be travelled lightly...
  19. Well i've been out enjoying the sunshine, so i thought id get some new shots in I've prob taken more Sandtrooper/ Dewback shots than anything else (well apart from biker scouts maybe)- but they are my favs so what you gonna do! Had a shot in mind that i haven't been able to get on my last couple of trips due to weather/ too many people at the beach etc.... Today by some fluke managed to catch it Just out of shot are people/ the sea/ signs etc... after an hour laying on the sand taking around 200 shots (i kid you not!) managed to get some with none of these in the background I know i could have ultimatly photoshopped these things out, but i like to try and keep my photos 'un-shopped' Anyways thats enough of my yacking here's the shots- Got some new Tusken Raider shots as well, i'll post em up once i've sorted through them.
  20. Thanks Though it was pretty easy really- think id have been hard pushed NOT to make it look sinister and evil
  21. New set instructions for the summer sets are now up at S@h- although the battle of Endor is missing part 1 of 2, which annoyingly was the one i was after for the AT-ST instructions. No sign of the Home One instructions though.
  22. smokebelch replied to Oky's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars

  23. I agree this is amazing! Beautiful creation, can't wait to see it finished.
  24. Balakov's stuff is awesome You can also check out his flickr page here (most of the same shots as the link in the first post)- Balakov's flickr page Seeing some of his shots last year was my main inspiration to start shooting some of my Lego stuff
  25. Cheers Roncanator, MicroM & General Armendariz Here's a quick shot of the micro At-At's bigger brother for referance purposes
