  1. Had a bit of an edit on an old Sandtrooper shot as I was never happy with this one originally. Unfortunatly no new Sandtroopers here, but thought id post it up- Looking for lost droids... by smokebelch, on Flickr Thanks, its nice to be back Actually got some good beach shots over the winter- depends on the sun being out though! Which obviously given the british weather doesnt happen much! I think my very first 'Tatooine' Sandtrooper shot way back on page 1 of the thread was taken in January- just weeks after I'd taken the Snowtrooper shot in the snow Edit- Haha yeah both these photos were taken in the same week in February, just days apart- Thats the British weather for you! 2. Shot of the new Threepio... Though he does kinda have a permantly looking above for impending doom look about him Probably just where the eye print on mine is a bit misaligned. Still nice figure. Threepio by smokebelch, on Flickr
  3. Thanks Brickdoctor, they are such nice figures- sorry for all that are going to have to wait to get hold of em. Here's one more to tide you over- Sandtrooper by smokebelch, on Flickr
  4. Hey guys, Been a while- nice to see the thread still going strong some great stuff being posted. Hope everyone had a great christmas, new sets are starting to hit so I've got some new Lego to shoot Really love the new weathered Sandtroopers... Gonna have to get to the beach soon for some 'Tatooine' action, but for now a quick indoor shot- Look sir, Droids! by smokebelch, on Flickr
  5. Quck shot of the new Sandies ;) Look sir, Droids! by smokebelch, on Flickr
  6. Just picked up a couple of the smaller sets from Argos here in the UK. Got the Droid Escape and the Endor pack. Couple of bits I hadnt realised- the hands on the Endor troopers are actually Tan colour, I had thought they were flesh from the shots. Also the Stormie and Scout Trooper come with the new printed face heads- so you have to turn the Scout's round with his helmet on so its black for the 'visor'. New threepio looks nice, like the printed eyes. And love the new Sand Troopers- some shots to follow soon no doubt :)

Unfortunatly there seems to be a fair few problems with the Star Wars Blu-Ray set. Couldn't get any of my discs to play initially- my player has up to date firmware as well. Tried clearing a room out on the memory and seems to play em now, though they do take over 2 minutes to load the discs up. Lots of issues with audio drop outs as well, though ive not noticed anything on mine... Yet. Bit more info here http://www.avforums.com/forums/blu-rays-dvds-download-services/1512351-uk-star-wars-bluray-problems.html Does seem to be possibly related to the new copyprotection fox has put on the discs... Which given how quickly rips of the set appeared doesnt seem to have bothered the pirates at all, but IS making it difficult for people who have actually paid for the set to watch. And don't get me started on all the new additions to the OT... Noooooooooooooo! The deleted scenes for the OT are excellent though, some great stuff I never thought would see the light of day.
  8. Hey guys! Damn its been a long time since i've had anything to post up here, nice to see the thread still going strong My camera died after a particular windy beach shoot (sand everywhere!), just trying to get used to my new one now. Still a relativley cheap point n shoot (but still lets me tweak the settings some). With the new summer sets, and excellent minifigs!, hopefully have some more stuff to contribute Anyways heres a couple of new ones- Did you hear something?... by smokebelch, on Flickr K-3PO & R-3PO had a strange feeling of impending doom... Put em up! by smokebelch, on Flickr R-3PO's gonna knock you out! Its a little known fact that the rebellion's first line of defense against the Wampa's attacking echo base were specially trained boxing protocol droids.

Seeing as I've just picked up one of the Pirates of the Caribbean sets thought id take a few shots and contribute to the thread Capt Jack by smokebelch, on Flickr Zombie Pirates by smokebelch, on Flickr
  10. Thanks Big Cam- 12 Zombies! Wish id picked up more when they were out, though happy to have my 6 And speaking of which... Zombieville by smokebelch, on Flickr ^^^ Its official any minifig becomes 50% more awesome when zombified
  11. Thanks BigCam & KeilDaMan And WampaStompa that Hazmat shot is so awesome- very jealous I didn't think of it first Dug out some Zombies for another shot- Rush Hour! by smokebelch, on Flickr ^^^ Ever since the Zombie Apocalypse Bob was finding the daily commute to work a lot tougher than it used to be...
  12. Yep, as StoutFiles correctly points out Dengar can definatly be seen in Jabba's palace, Bossk pops up in a couple of the Palace scenes as well
  13. The new Dengar looks interesting from what I can make out from the pic. Has to be a new head- can't see them giving him the old smiley face this time And that does look like a new bandages head piece to me- doesn't seem to come down the chest as much as the white Keffiyeh from the POP sets, and you can see more of the face than the old Ninja piece. Can't wait to see a better pic of him. Im guessing if they have redisigned him he will likely pop up again if they bring out a Jabba's palace set in the future as well. And yeah as others have said bit of a wasted opp for the other two bounty hunters.
  14. Another Jawa shot from my trip to the beach the other day Jawas by smokebelch, on Flickr
  15. Nice work everyone- great to see your shots Heres a new one from me- having some nice weather at the moment so took a trip to the beach for some 'tatooine' action Gone Scavenging by smokebelch, on Flickr I've always wondered how the Jawas were able to make a living out of finding droids in the desert- I guess given the rate Jabba gets rid of his interpreters theres good money to be had out there in them dunes ;)
  16. Some new Hazmat shots- Toxic Avengers by smokebelch, on Flickr That sinking feeling... by smokebelch, on Flickr
  17. Thanks WhiteFang Here's another of the 'monsters' together- The Monster Squad by smokebelch, on Flickr
  18. Great pictures everyone Now that series 4 has started to hit looking forward to seeing more Here's one from me to start the ball rolling- Howlin' at the Moon by smokebelch, on Flickr Haha! why thank you very much
  19. Thanks Penguin I've not got an expensive camera, and it only has a fixed lens so can't really help with advice on that front im afraid. I would like to upgrade to a DSLR at some point, but im pretty happy with the results I can get from mine at the moment. I've got a fujifilm bridge type camera, which gives me a bit of flexibility to play round with the settings- was £150, though ive had it a couple of years now. Also has a pretty good macro which is a must for Lego shots ... And speaking of which, here's a new one from me, finnally got round to picking up a Mola Ram figure from Bricklink, always one of my favourite charachters, and an awesome minifig! Mola Ram by smokebelch, on Flickr

  21. Thanks Penguin, and nice shot Alas I missed out on most of the Bat sets when they were out, and the aftermarket prices are crazy! Really wish Id picked up more of the sets, would love to take more Batman themed shots- Here's one more from the archives- The Dark Knight by smokebelch, on Flickr
