  1. 42008 for £2.99?! BARGAIN! Are the pneumatics good? As for the 42029, I think I'd only get that for the Forest Skidder. Not sure it's worth £70 for a model whose instructions I'd have to download, though.
  2. My local TRU got most of the 2H sets in early (bar the 42030), so I got the 42028 Bulldozer last week. I've built the Trench Digger model (took me about two hours, had to stop for dinner) and I've yet to build the 'Dozer. It's got some great parts, most of which I don't have a lot of, particularly the new diff, and the build is very enjoyable. Loads of modular steps. I also like how the two models are built to different proportions. -MB35
  3. Most creative use of steering racks EVER! Looking forward to this one.
  4. True, true. We haven't had a skidder since 8459's B model (and its re-releases), so it's quite refreshing, I guess. Still not keen on the set, though. EDIT: Actually, the most recent skidder was 8416's B-model (I'm not sure if 8069's B-model counts). Funnily enough, 8416-B was the only one before now to have an attachment at the front.
  5. Gotta say, this loader is pretty awesome. Like the review says, I'm not keen on the front end. But everything else is impressive, like the bucket and full RC capability. I still think it's a bit pants that we don't get instructions for the B-models in larger sets, even the flagships. Wonder why LEGO started doing that? Still a great set though.
  6. I like this dozer! The size of the box looks pretty appropriate for the size of the set too - finally. That B-model is something else, I must say. Looks like a Hydrema landmine-clearing vehicle with its back-mounted flail. It might be a mining vehicle of some kind, like Sariel says, but I'm not sure. Could this be the first military-themed vehicle ever made by Lego? I wonder.
  7. That'd be good. There's been no grader "A" model before, so it'd be something kind of, er, new.
  8. It's odd, no doubt about it. I wonder how this'll affect the summer sets. Will they all be released in one big clump?
  9. Yeesh, relax! We haven't even had this year's bulldozer yet! I'm not thrilled with this year's selection either. I got 42023 'coz it's pretty cool and gives me 8453-related nostalgia, but as for everything else, I'll sidestep it with the possible exception of 42028. I'm not hating on the designers, by the way, who do excellent work, but I just think Technic's getting too hung up on zany colours and simple functions, and it's becoming far too repetitive. ENOUGH FRONT-END LOADERS ALREADY!!!! At least we haven't had a bulldozer too recently.
  10. I'd like to see another tracked dumper too. 8294-B was a unique model and I wouldn't have any problem with seeing another one - especially considering I don't have 8294.
  11. I'm on the fence about the bulldozer, really. Might just pick it up.
  12. Hm. That bulldozer looks a bit dull now I've seen it up close.
  13. Bulldozer looks pretty good in my opinion! Some of those parts haven't been released in a while and I don't have many sets with an engine (in fact I have only one, 8439) so I think it'll be a buy for me. It actually reminds me of the 8419 excavator, tbh. Another thing about it is that it's actually studless, unlike the great 8275 which had studs all over it.
  14. I'm annoyed that we got loads of info on the pickup but none on the dozer. Hopefully that means the dozer is worth waiting for! And the possibility of pneumatics... woah! :sweet:
  15. Nothing wrong with your opinion! If you like this set, then that's not a problem. I do think this is a bit too much like the Monster Truck from last year, though. It has the same wheels and colours, and the same general feel. Not my thing.
  16. I think it's more bland than ugly. I do like the bear stickers - even if they ARE stickers - but it's pretty much red overload otherwise; some silver would be nice, especially on the engine and pipes. It's all flat grey.
  17. I just want to see the bulldozer... Why didn't we get any photos of that?!
  18. I'm not enamored with the loader, let alone the pickup. I'm eager to see the bulldozer, but I think that's the only set I even have an interest in. Wonder if it's PF-capable?
