Review: 3817 The Flying Dutchman
I adore this set :) I purchased 2 when it first came out, and combined them to make a really fun piratey ship. As I recall there were enough planks on the island to make a wooden deck for the enlarged ship, and enough grey cheese slopes to replace the slightly garish green ones!

[HELP] Which Technic Set Should I Buy?
burntrope replied to Siegfried's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingOn brickset.com 8069 is the highest rated medium sized (<1000) technic set in the last 20 years. I personally loved everything about it - except the fact that my fingers got raw from turning those knobs over and over!

The one Technic Set you wish you had gotten
burntrope replied to FuzzyBallz's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling8109 really was an inspired build. Sold it off when I was moving countries last year and it still gives me a twinge of regret when I think too hard about it!

Review: 10226 Sopwith Camel
Finished building this set today - got it at a great price at the recent Myer sale. This set + Horizon Express are some of the most fun I've had with Lego in a while! Bought the first Sopwith Camel when it came out nearly a decade ago and was heartbroken when the stickers started peeling off. As you have pointed out, the colours in the new version are beautiful, and it really is fun to play with the control. Thanks for an excellent review.
