  1. What do you think a good used price would be for this? Oddly enough, there are 2 listed on FB marketplace near me. EDIT- adult owned/smoke free/pet free condition
  2. First time I’ve seen this set on sale in the US. $150 off isn’t bad https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Liebherr-Rewarding-Incredible-Including/dp/B0BSRFQLD6/ref=pd_aw_ci_mcx_mh_mcx_views_0?pd_rd_w=Ur1gM&content-id=amzn1.sym.0e5c7f8b-153f-45ea-a1fd-9585fc3a0cd5%3Aamzn1.symc.2b06b7e8-a86c-4e6e-b02c-90d58278f4f1&pf_rd_p=0e5c7f8b-153f-45ea-a1fd-9585fc3a0cd5&pf_rd_r=1B68MKZ33WN3X7T3K49R&pd_rd_wg=DJ5c4&pd_rd_r=5f3b754e-809c-45c9-a5cd-012004595a1f&pd_rd_i=B0BSRFQLD6 EDIT: I was excited to see a sale, but looking closer... I am not sure that is genuine LEGO. The amazon "store" is The LEGO Store, but the seller is KITSTORE. Looking back at all the other LEGO I have bought on Amazon, the seller was Amazon.com Services LLC. Another giveaway to me is the title of the item, that is not a normal description for LEGO set on amazon. I am now a little hesitant to make a purchase. Since I made the post, stock has gone down by 1... so if one of you bought it, please let us know if it is genuine or not.
  3. No discount here in the states. Kinda disappointed… kinda relieved
  4. I look for sales occasionally, but I have not seen any in the US. Has anyone else?
  5. Jim had a bunch of extra orange and white parts laying around and started a brinklink store… probably not related… I kid I kid
  6. I’d love to print these parts on my printer but I have no use for them. I’m waiting for the LR13000 to go on sale. Any plans to upload them to thingiverse? Also, which yellow filament did you use? The print color matches LEGO yellow pretty yet.
  7. Excellent work! Did you consider including the pin into the track pad print so you wouldn’t have the pin sticking out the other side like you do now?
  8. Personally I am tired of reading through this crap… Let the contest moderators design how to vote for a winner and be happy with it. After every contest there seems to be something to complain about… can we just stop complaining and just build LEGO? Thank you
  9. What pneumatic-ify type set are you working on now
  10. Has anyone seen the acrylic display case on Amazon? Only $680
  11. It’s amazing how much better it looks with the longer boom and Derrick weights. I wonder how many sets this guy bought?
  12. Once I finally get this set, that was my plan. 3D print blanks and fill with something heavy. If done correctly, they would look nicer than the true LEGO piece and work better.
  13. Thanks for the clarification. I don’t work with cranes… so that setup seemed odd to me. At least they got one thing right about the crane
  14. Why 2 spools for the hook? Does it not work like a typical block and hook setup?
  15. What do you think would be a fair price for the new lattice/frame prices to make the boom longer? For reference the 5x7 frame sell for $0.89 and the 5x11 frame sell for $1.24.
  16. You are wildly missing my point. @Danil thanks for the clarification. That is what I thought, I just did not want to speak from zero on-site experience.
  17. If you are referring to 9:42 in the video, I would not categorize that as a normal play area. The roller got hung up on a rock causing the weights to fall off. Again… maybe the crane guys can answer this… but I’m sure the area around a crane is “groomed” to make the movement of the crane as smooth as possible. I get it… this is just a toy… but consider the scale of that pebble at 1:1 scale with the model.
  18. So why not show that? You always seem to exaggerate everything in your videos. Do you think the slew on the crane is geared too fast?
  19. I am not sure that video was a review... did anyone else plan on taking their crane through the stream and playing in the sand? I am sure some kids are going to get this set and do whatever they want with it... but I do not think there are many kids on this forum... If anyone here actually does buy the set (even after sale prices) they will be displaying it and/or modifying it to look like an actual LR13000. Kbalage's video is 10/10; informative and truly showed off the features of the build.... I had to stop the latest video because of the loose counterweight "issue"..... who is going to balance their model on a rock half the size of the track footprint?!!? Maybe someone with more crane experience can help me... do the counter weights on an actual LR13000 connect together somehow OR do they just stack on top of each other. I can see pros and cons to doing both. I think video posts for self promotion really needs to be evaluated for what is acceptable for AFOL forums. Just my 2 cents.
  20. I woke up.. saw there was action on this thread and just assumed the review was out… I guess not. I bet TLG is afraid of the negative reviews from the big YouTubers.
  21. Like most… I’ve been following this thread closely since the official pictures came out. Initially everyone hated the model because of this or that reason. Now it seems like it’s 50/50 on the looks of the model but still 100% hate toward the price. Do you think TLG looks at these conversations? I want to see what the reviews looks like for this set and how many comments there are about the price. Sure they will sell some to the people that don’t know what to do with their money… but what about the rest of us. For $700 I’d rather buy 2 retired 42042 sealed sets on bricklink and combine them into a bigger crane. Overall, if the set was $500/$550 I’d consider getting one or even 2 of them… but for $700 I’ll pass altogether.
  22. ***TC30 - use the counterweight piece for anything but a counterweight contest*** 😂
  23. Either an encoder or a load sensor could work if the PU motors have one. I think both are a stretch for a LEGO
  24. Typically there is a safety factor included in engineering design. I wonder if they considered that for this model. In this case, the factor of safety wouldn’t be to lift more than advertised, but adding extra stability OR limiting the lift to a maximum of 0.5kg. I think you guys have already noted that the boom isn’t structurally strong, so I think the stability factor isn’t the case. So the crane has to have a limit as to how much it can lift… does that mean a new stronger clutch? I don’t think we have a clutch that would be able to hold 0.5kg. Maybe a bunch of stacked clutches? I highly doubt it, but maybe. OR did TLG forget that we like to push the limit of our models and omit the safety factor in this model?? Maybe I’m over thinking it
  25. This or the boom pieces themselves were shortened to reduce the overall height. I find this more likely than increasing the number of pieces in the superstructure.
