I think it looks better. I really like how you did the front end. However, I think you should also shorten. In my opinion, the original build is too long.

Not sure if you guys have seen the image with the actual Calendar and Kite Man minifigures amongst some other 2017 minifigures that has been released and has been circulating the net.

That's where I think people are getting confused. Notice how we've already seen images of Riddler in his normal outfit but there hasn't been any indication that he is in another set in this form. My prediction is that many of Batman's rogues will appear in their normal outfits in the Lego Batman Movie CMF series.

It really depends how much of it you want to convert into the black color. For example, if you are OK with the interior being the same and are OK with bits of grey appearing in certain parts of the model then you wouldn't need to buy every piece in black. For me, I wanted everything to be switched over to black. I didn't want any grey pieces to show on the model at all. Even the technic beams that you usually wouldn't notice in the original color scheme will show up once you start converting the other parts to black. If you truly want a consistent all black look, I recommend switching as much as you can over to black. Hope this helps, Marc
