The Cars sets are going to be Duplo, as I have heard from many sources.
  2. Nice little MOC, it seems to me like a combo of the new cemetry battle and 2008's Temple Escape!
  3. Indeed, LEGO you tricksters! Then again, the set does not have the Pirates box art, and may not be considered part of the Pirates collection by LEGO. But then again, it has 105% of all Pirates pieces created this year, so it HAS to be part of Pirates!
  4. When I first saw this set, I went Oh MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope one day to get it, I mean, LOOK AT IT! THE THING'S A MONSTER! I consider this as a very sneaky marketing tatic made by TLC, to announce the end of the Pirates theme by mid-2010, and announced a new Pirates 2010 set two weeks later? Who knows that more sets might approach? It must be a really great collectable because it doesn't have a Pirates box design, it has the design for a really good collectable! Oh, my, gosh! This is great news for all Pirate fans throughout the universe!
  5. The Brickbeard's Bounty and the Black Seas Barracuda are pulling into the dock to say, "ARRGH! TODAY IS TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY!" Everyone on Classic Pirates, happy Talk like a Pirate Day!
  6. Creator is one of the best themes to combine with City. You got airplanes, trucks, ferris wheels, windmills, and other stuff. I know there used to be a comic that the Power Miners got their vehicles from a warehouse in LEGO city, but I'm not a fan of Power Miners, so I can't say. But to me, I usually combine my Creator sets with my City sets.
  7. Many users of Eurobricks are saying that the Pirates probably WON'T be returning in 2010, because of it being an anniversary line. I have some very good reasons why Pirates will return in 2010. 1) The Pirates Advent Calendar includes a regular BLACK shako! Not a shako with the gold medal-like design, a regular black one all the way from 1989! This could mean that the Legend's Pirate sets are being produced again! 2) The Armada helmets are appearing in every single set you could think of! These are 2 VERY good reasons why I believe the Pirates will return 2010!
  8. TO ALL FANS OF GLENN MILLER: What would your reaction be if there was another Glenn Miller movie? Do you think seeing an actor playing Glenn Miller on the big screen again WOULD work out?
  9. Take a look at this Pirates sets. These represent the timeline, and change, of LEGO's most famous themes ever. Now, take a look at the sets now. Power Miners, Space Police, and in 2010, Atlantis. LEGO is easing off the historical aspect of the themes lately. Now, take a look at the 2009 Pirate sets. The historical aspect is easing off a bit, but they are STILL AWESOME! Do you think that LEGO really expected the Pirates to become a historical wonderworld (even for historical MOCs ) or just the regular good vs. evil? I think back then, the Pirates sets were much historical. The Islanders started to tip the boat, but then the Armada's lifted it up. Then, with the 2009 sets, the historical feel, to me, was only felt with the Royal Navy Imperials-included sets. What do you guys think? :pir-skull:
  10. I am going up to the LEGO store in the Palisades Mall this Friday! The problem is, I was hoping to get the Echo Base set- but the store didn't get a delivery of Echo Base's this week, so there won't be ANY at the store on Friday! But, not to fear, I have TWO back-up plans: the Castle Drawbridge Defense or the Indiana Jones Venice Canal Chase set. Now, I have a $40 budget, and I have just enough for one of those 2 sets. The problem IS , I CAN'T DECIDE WHICH ONE TO GET? Lego experts on Eurobricks, help me decide! Which set is the better deal? The Drawbridge Defense or the Venice Canal Chase? Thank you. P.S. Does anybody know if the prices on both of these sets are reasonable?
  11. Everyone, thank you all for helping! But, I have some bad news. My local LEGO Store didn't get their delivery of Echo Base's this week, and won't have any in stock for this Friday, when I'm going up there. But instead, I might get the Castle Drawbridge Defense set or the Indy Venice Chase set. Thanks everyone who helped me with my problem. When I get Echo Base in the future, I will put everything everyone suggested in my head!
  12. I'm getting this one for the minifigures, baby! Great review!
  13. Re-releases of legendary sets like Eldorado Fortress, Imperial Trading Post, and Black Seas Barracuda! Also I would like to see: The Bluecoasts take the stand next year! Imperial ships! Villages! More historical sets!
  14. This article is pretty recent. http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/07/05/harris...e-date-planned/ I'm sorry I forgot to post it.
  15. Sorry if anybody already posted this! I just read that Spielberg and Lucas are aiming for the 5th Indiana Jones to starting filming next year, 2010, and be released into theaters by 2011. Rumors if the release dates, including 2010, 2012, and 2013, are to be proven false if this release date of 2011 is actually comfirmed! We just MIGHT get to see "the man in the fedora" in two years!
