  1. Really like the rodent infestation joke too, but it was the arch that really grabbed my eye from the outset. Nice job!!!!
  2. Neither are listed online, sadly, but hopefully for you, you will find stock in-store somewhere. To All, on a different topic, I get ocassional email updates from here: http://swnz.dr-maul.com/index.php Not just Lego, but all things Star Wars in the local market - FWIW.
  3. Still no sign of home one returning to www.thewarehouse.co.nz, so it looks like she is the only game in town - at RRP +$10 + postage Think I'll wait a wee bit..... Have to wonder where she is getting these from, 'cos it is obviously not someone's pre-existing collection as I think we were talking about a few weeks back!
  4. I'm hanging out for Home One as well. At this stage I'm waiting for it to show up at the Red Shed, or on TM. I find the shipping costs for S@H just too much to stomach.
  5. Have I missed out? Wasn't today the last sale day @ K-Mart? Ratso.....
  6. Yes, just that - 2 lots of 4, the lots being a mirror image of each other. Sounds intriuging - I'll have to have a look for that. I ended up passing on the 10143 DS II, but I'm sure another one will pop up one day. As you say, plenty of the 10188s at K Mart Albany still...... Just scored a $200 Venator a few minutes ago - darn TM impulse buying :-).

If you go 'first_letter_of_given_name_followed_by_family_name' (as so many corporates do when assigning IT System user names to staff), I always get 'sleigh'. Nothing to do with Santa or Snow or Jingle Bells, but as I'm damn good at chopping off the heads of those with whom I disagree, 'slayer' seems apt as does 'sleigher'....
  8. I'm still hanging out for Home One, but a Venator at under $200 is very tempting. I've also got 10143 DS on my watchlist at $500 NR. Call me mad, but this is in some ways more appealing than the 10188 playset at the same price. There is just something about the whole scale disjoint with the playset that disturbs me - though the minifig collection is so cool. Aaaarrrgghhhhh - dunno what to do! Endor and 10195 are both sorted, so at least I can take them out of the equation. Both were really fun builds too, apart from all the legs on the AT-OT.
  9. I've just been introducing my 11 year old son to Star Wars - over the last few weeks we have watched all 6 live movies, plus the Clone Wars movie, plus most of the latest Clone Wars TV episodes (thank you Bit Torrent for the TV stuff - all the others on legit, paid for DVDs ). Other than that, my latest has been 'Hot Fuzz'. Brilliant movie, and a very clever and funny non-sequel to 'Shaun of the Dead'. Highly recommended to those with an evolved sense of humour.
  10. Interesting thread, for sure. I seem to be a 25 year old semi truck: Not the most inspiring set ever, but hey, at least I do exist!
  11. Whoops, I meant "Thanks Tim!" didn't I? Sorry - new names & faces to get my head around. Hi Fox, Thx for the welcome. I first saw ANH (or "Star Wars" as it was way back then), when it first came out in the cinemas here, but it's only within the three or four months that I've started to get seriously switched on to the whole Star Wars & Star Wars Lego scene. stuck in bed, and too much time on my hands. No.2 Son, Kieran, is also well into it, and we have been watching all the movies, plus Clone Wars over the last wee while. It's cool to get him interested, and he is making a few nice SW inspired MOCs too, whereas I'm more into the sets. I might look to get some stuff online soon, maybe via Brickset, but initially more likely via Flikr. Watch this space - must be getting close to 40 sets now - a mixture of Trade Me, local retail, Brinklink & a few minis from eBay. To all - I've seen a few comments that eBay generally gives better deals than Bricklink - this doesn't seem to be my experience when comparison shopping just recently - any comments on this? Am I shooting myself in the foot by (usually) only looking at 'Buy Now's for comparison?
  12. Thanks Sam! Endor has just arrived, and I'm just about to rip into it!
  13. Hey Fox, That would be me A bit of an impulse purchase after one too many wines, as I was intending to wait for it to be back in stock at Toyplanet. Also picked up a MISB UCS Y Wing for a good rpice on the same day, so am pretty rapt with both those. sleigher (another 'Shore boy).
  14. I've used Maxspace twice in the last month or so, and have been very happy both times. FWIW sleigher
  15. Been there, done that, liked both of them - especially the V-19. Still awaiting your TM Feedback........... sleigher / 67goblin
