Got Lego from amazon and this is how it was shipped
Hi everyone, I ordered Lego Yoda 75255 from amazon and it was shipped via UPS (I am not very fond of them but that is a different story). So anyway, I had to pick it up at a UPS access point and when I picked it up one of the flaps of the corrugated amazon shipping box was open and not resealed by UPS or anyone. That part of the box tape was beneath it and not stuck to anything. You could see the residue of the tape dried and looking pretty much untouched and new. Very weird. Fortunately nothing had dropped out of the box and the Lego seemed to be in fine condition. All the tapes are there sealed and does not look to be tampered and has the proper date/factory code (47S0). Although the tapes while they look good and new, a couple of the black print on them touching the edge of the Lego box missing little bit of black print from friction of the box I guess? I have not opened it yet as I don't have time or space but wanted to have this particular Lego. Has this every happened to anyone here? I have attached a picture of the package. 16 teeth gears and other questions of technic concern
Shompis replied to Darth Legolas's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWell correct me if I am wrong, the motor not spinning fast enough can have several reasons. For one thing you mention a gear box, I guess it has input and output gear right? What is the gear ratio of those? And what is the gear ratio between the spur gear and the pinion (the one the motor if it is a pinion one) gear? I think your goal is to lower the gear ratio for increased speed. Or easiest is to get a motor with higher rpm per voltage :D

Prince of Persia 2010
Don't be to sure that PoP Lego will not have a bigger following among KIDS and thats where it counts anyway! Mostly it depends on how the movie will do. If it succeeds to be just half as popular as Pirates of the karrebian, I bet you we will see sequels to it and LEGO will probably license it further and release sets of it. It has great potential to be a cash cow for LEGO, definitely greater than Indiana Jones ever was. Indiana Jones had great sets, but was largely ignored. Doesn't matter that it had four movies, kids did not recognize it thus it was ignored.

TECHNIC Sets from 2010
Shompis replied to LordGalewind's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingSo I guess the mobile crane piece count is around 1000-1100 judging by previous releases in the same price range. I wonder how much the 8421 with almost 1900 pieces and electronics would cost if it was released today. 200 euro?

Has anyone tried to preserve the TLC stickers?
clear coat is what I have used on models and rc cars. I have rc car that is over 10 year old and and the stickers are in excellent condition and blend very well with the body of the car thanks to clear coating. It is the Tamiya clear coat spray and can also be bought in small bottles and is made for abs plastic foremost.

Review: 7663 Sith Infiltrator
I bought it last week! I was just casually looking around in a toyshop and saw one set of it available. Bought it instantly. By the way, was it really a limited piece around the world, or just in NA? Because there is no limited editon or any other text printed on my set. Its just as plain as the other SW boxes of that year. And I believe I saw it in numerous different stores in 2007. In Sweden that is.

Is Technic being discontinued after 2010?
Shompis replied to chris_austin's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingPlease, I want a full functional bus. Automatic doors, god of hand steering, and pneumatic functionality where the bus tilts to the right for passengers with disability or sulky/pram/buggy like on a real bus.

LEGO Star Wars 2010 Pictures and Rumors

TECHNIC Sets from 2010
Shompis replied to LordGalewind's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThey could make rail construction vehicles or train locomotive for that matter. The construction vehicles look fairly advances with all the mechanics swapping old rails for new ones in one go etc.

TECHNIC Sets from 2010
Shompis replied to LordGalewind's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI like the buggy, it looks a lot like rc buggies with the suspension, A-arms, turn-buckles etc. Lets see if it has a working differential aswell. However, I would rather see a buggy resembling the classic Tamiya buggies which were replicates of real buggies of the 70s.

Prince of Persia 2010
Not sure what an arabian building is you are implying it is missing. Anyway, Alamut is mentioned in a set to be released, which is a historical fort. And ruins of it are still present to date.
