  1. I love it! Just imagine what the Lego group could do with the Adventurers line given the parts and colours available today. Having said that, one of the best parts was the chassis allowing the minifigs to sit adjacent to each other (I think this first appeared in the theme). I always like your versions of these sets - staying true to the original theme while also incorporating newer parts.
  2. I’m still waiting for that coral coloured flamingo you teased us with years ago!
  3. If that's the case I'm going to continue my booing... Booooooooo! Booooooooo! Booooooooo! Booooooooo! Just as I thought Lego were starting to understand that there are lots of animals not represented and that Playmobil still outclasses Lego on that front by a country mile! Come on Lego, I won't stop moaning until the most recognisable safari animals are available (e.g. zebra, giraffe, rhino & hippo), plus our temperate forests and rainforests are still lacking (beavers, foxes) and the koala and cockatoo need some marsupials to boost the Australian representation (kangaroos and wombats). I also want sea lions and swans. I would expect the summer City sets to provide something more than the rumoured list.
  4. Nice - I’ve been watching lots of YouTube videos about train trips up to the Arctic circle and as a lover of scenic train journeys I’d be very pleased with this.
  5. I like the idea of Lego releasing new train stuff each year but in smaller sets like a model railway. e.g. as mentioned above, individual freight carriages or specific additions like the Metroliner club car. in addition there could be track expansion sets with more variations like junctions, platforms, signals, invoices, bridges, stations… id end up spending more as I’d buy longer trains if there were compartments (I’d love to be able to buy more Orient Express carriages without having to pay for the front engine again).
  6. Presumably new trains as the station and passenger train are retiring. Hope we get some good ones as there really hasn’t been a City train anywhere near as good as the Metroliner since. Ideally I’d like to see a train subtheme based in the Canadian Rockies. Lots of winters or autumnal trees and appropriate wildlife. Appropriately attired minifigure selection. A decent looking train with no stickers, a sleeping compartment and viewing compartment (ideally several carriages you can buy individually). I’d very much like some form of bridge for trains to cross and newer track parts that allow for an incline to the track. Who knows what else we will see. I’ve said in another thread I’d either like a more complete safari theme so we finally get some missing African animals (giraffe/zebra/hippo/rhino) with some dark or olive green coloured vehicles. I’d also like a tropical island subtheme. A decent airport with palm trees and tourists. Other sets with a Paradisa-esque vibe. Waterskiing. Dive boat. Villa with pool. Finally, a river boat/barge with a rural looking bridge and swan family would be great and would compliment the new modular!
  7. I liked the fact that last year there were more opportunities to get some Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw student torsos. Thought Lego were starting to get that and would have included something either in the Charms Class or Duelling Club but Lego revert to their old selves and like to disappoint!!!
  8. I think the building looks great. My only gripe is the 1x2 grid tile used to represent ‘bacon’, which they did before. It doesn’t really look like bacon. Either print a regular 1x2 tile or don’t include bacon. Almost as bad as the ‘chick and the duck’ in the Friends apartment.
  9. Is the camel now officially under goat status? 🤔
  10. Yes, Lego still needs to fill the basic gaps before we start specialising. I think the ‘Wolf pup’ works sufficiently.
  11. I can’t find the picture of the farm/sheep set - does anyone know how many sheep there were and if this included any lambs (trying to reduce my pick a brick order but will leave out the sheep and lambs if they are the same)! Thanks
  12. I don’t think it needs to be aligned particularly to the US National Parks. Especially if that requires licensing. Just some sets that have a feel of exploring the wilderness - more modern updates of https://brickset.com/sets/6552-1/Rocky-River-Retreat and https://brickset.com/sets/6665-1/River-Runners - a shame the new campervan doesn’t include a nice autumnal tree and a moose!
  13. I’m dreaming of a glorious summer safari wave (only this time with all the bits they missed before). I’m talking giraffes, zebras, hippos and even gazelles, warthogs and meerkats.🦒🦓🦛🦏 Alternatively, sign me up for a North American style ‘Great Outdoors’ subtheme. Lego City explores the National Parks. 🦬🐿️🦝🐻 🦅 Add a harbour set with sea lions 🦭 and we’re all good.
  14. No new animals in the January 2025 City sets it seems. Let the booing commence... Booooo Booooo Booooo
