WOW! He looks incredible! Where did you get the blaster rifle?
  2. Is there? I’d like to see other angles. I’ve only seen three, all showing it directly from the front and back. Look that’s entirely fair. I was a defender of the pilot helmets up until I saw them in hand and even then they’re not bad. I plan on collecting them now as new print designs come out. However to me they’re like the Vader helmet, which looks slightly up rather then straight on. Close to perfect but a hair off, a hair bigger then they should. My problem with the new stormie helmet was it seemed proportionally off. These other pics make it seem to share the proportions of the Patrol Trooper which I found fairly perfect. i suspect in hand and as we get more pics it’ll look a lot better.
  3. This is the danger of leaks and why Lego cracks down on them. We’re judging something like a mold that is three dimensional from a single angle in a single photo that could be distorted. I have my reservations but I think the community, here and beyond, is reacting very strongly to something that requires far more data to evaluate. Which is a totally valid reaction. Part of the fun are these discussions. However i’m coming from loving the new rebel pilot helmet from the photos to seeing it in person and disliking it entirely.
  4. The Mimban Stormtrooper looks fantastic. The Patrol Trooper helmet is essentially a stormtrooper helmet with some alterations on the face and it looks fantastic. i seriously doubt Lego will screw up on one of the most iconic Star Wars troopers. It’s possible that the main picture everyone is seeing is distorted. There’s another picture with four figs and the new Stormtrooper looks fine.

I’m about to buy Delta Squad helmets and packs from Arealight, the plastic and printing seems better quality then Clone Army Customs even if less accurate. Does anyone know of place that sells decent printing for the torso and legs? Or has anyone come up with a good solotution for purist torsos and legs? I’m partial to the arc trooper torso for Boss.
  6. Oh Jesus that new Stormtrooper helmet is truly awful. There are definite improvements, the printing looks incredible as does the dual molding... However the proportions are just so off. The crown above the black band feels like a pin head compared to how wide the bottom mouth part is. I’m looking at my Star Wars Costumes book and no, absolutely not. WhIch one? I’ve seen two images. Theres the one with a stomtrooper alone, with a back and front against a greyish background. That one is the one I reacted badly too. Then there’s another where it’s four figures. (Leia, Kashyyk Trooper, Luke, and the new Stormtrooper). The new mood looks incredible in that last picture I described.
  7. Really? Oof. I haven’t got a phase two Gree yet so I guess this will lower the price on the secondary market. Still it’s utterly absurd we haven’t got an iteration of key figures like Ponda Baba or Revenge of the Sith Padme but we’ll get yet another rehash of the same figs.
  8. It boggles my mind that they’re doing another AT-AP and yet we don’t have a bantha yet....
  9. It’s the hero ship from the new animated series Resistance.

The first three episodes of Resistance are on demand so naturally I binge watched them. I enjoyed it a lot. So far I have to say I actually like it considerably more then the first season of Rebels. Its definitely a kids show, something I had issue with at first but now i’m okay with. We adults get a lot of content from books, graphic novels, to even the spinoff films like Solo and Rogue One (come on we all know those are for the older fans.) I love how this show blends the three trilogies. Seeing aliens from the Mos Eisley Cantina and Mos Espa brush elbows with aliens from Max Kanata’s Castle is incredibly rewarding. As is all the pieces of reused OT tech on the walls of the bar or in the ships or bring worn by the pirates. The lead is a bumbling fool but is an obviously goodperson. As a result he comes off less precocious like Ezra and more sympathetic. I kinda like this dude, he’s a fool with a heart of gold. So far I’ve not encountered a character I groaned at like so often happened in Rebels until old favorites from Clone Wars appeared.

That arm is awesome! I could see two looking really good on Thrawn or a brooding Imperial Officer. With rio expanding what LEGO is willing to produce in terms of arms maybe we’ll get something similar on an official level?
  12. Vader looks incredible. The Tank Trooper looks so off. The narrow shore trooper helmet does a lot to destroy the beauty of the TT helmet. Not a fan. The blue chest pecs also look...curiously small.
  13. Thanks That's really good to hear about the Bomber. Also thanks. That makes sense but it seems you struck a solid balance between stability and accuracy. TLG clearly has decided to focus on stability over accuracy though I can't blame them. Imagine your build as a set meant for kids to play with, it probably wouldn't survive long. I think I'm going to build the bomber next then since it can double as the Tie Boarding Craft. Its a sign of the quality of your work when its so difficult to choose between models.
  14. Except the advent calendar build doesn't particularly look like Cloud City. If anything its a lamp. As for iconic, its fairly iconic. People always talk about the sequence of the Falcon arriving at Cloud City as one of the most beautiful in Star Wars.

Doesn't he wear the Empire jacket at the end of Solo?

Given she’s one of the most successful producers alive this is unsurprising. Regardless of how you feel about her, three out of her four last movies have broke a billion and Solo would’ve broke even if it not for the reshoots and production changes. Look up her credits and you’ll be shocked at how many classics she’s responsible for.
  17. Most of it is legal...hmm I kid. While this is brought up, are there any areas where the pieces are under stress to maintain form or shape? The same question goes for your Tie Bomber. One thing I was extremely impressed by with your Tie Fighter (besides how gorgeous it looks ), is how sturdy it is without any forces holding it together other then standard techniques. If I do invest money to build this and your Tie Bomber I want to make sure they'll last longterm. As we all know to ask a piece to sustain pressure/stress permanently, eventually causes pieces to crack and break. As for swooshability are both the X-Wing and Bomber durable? I'm not expecting Lego kid proof level of hold, but your Tie Fighter other then a few fiddly places that fall off a lot (guns and cockpit window) is fairly solid. Would you say these are at least as durable as your Tie Fighter?
  18. They're gorgeous builds, perhaps the best I've seen of either. The hyena bomber is exceptional enough but the vulture is icing on the cake. The heads, the added texture of their build adds so much to the overall look in an overwhelmingly postive direction. Lego take notes. My only criticism would be color. I understand sand blue is limited in part variety however I think the Heyena looks off without any blue. It's a nitpick. I don't want to take away anything from your build as the design is impeccable. Its just the color. I recognize the Vulture you're pattern is based on with black and it looks fairly spot on.
  19. Mos Eisely Cantina UCS in the style of the death star and cloud city. If they did a ton of new alien molds I would buy this in a heartbeat.

Wow what a great concept and executed well to boot. Excellent work.
  21. The Last Jedi. Loved it originally and after a year of people yelling at me that it's bad...I love it even more then before.

I would highly recommend this video below as well.
  23. People would hate it. I'm not saying that to be rude but no matter how good it was you would face the same level of criticism every Star Wars movie has faced since Return of the Jedi. A vocal group loathe Rogue One and Solo, the two most neutral, decent quality films produced. I wouldn't touch Star Wars with a ten foot pole if I was a director or film-maker. The fanbase is far too toxic. The problem is its universe has become an escapist fantasy for many, so everyone thinks their vision is how the story should be and will be intolerant of any disruption to that. Your version, Retroinferno''s version, my version. We would all take a clear stance on the direction of the universe should take and there will always a vocal cohort who will hate you for it.
  24. Really 70 bucks? I might buy that then. Considering the hundred dollar plus sets this year, the Porg is a steal, warts and all.
