Another nice build from you, Mesabi. Despite your limited collection, your builds continue to improve and you're getting pretty good at making few pieces go a long way (for example, with the roof). If you are serious about making additional maps, I'd suggest you consider using Inkscape. It's a free program with a reasonably low learning curve and plenty of tutorials. It's far more versatile than paint. If you need examples, it was used for all of Oleon's medals, flags, and maps as well as the coat of arms Bregir has for his King's Harbor ball promotion.

That is quite an amusing story. As for the build, it's good and I know you have a limited collection, but I think there are some areas that could be improved. The path, for example, could use some random bricks and tiles to represent cobblestones, even if they're imperfect. Simple things like this don't require specialized pieces, but can really help improve builds. Oleon. And yes, all builds are appreciated.

Another fine frigate from you, Bodi. The stern designs, especially the fleur, are especially nice, and it appears that you included plenty of important features to keep this ship shipshape and Bristol fashion. It looks like you've also started to spend a bit more time on the rigging. Not that there is anything wrong with simpler rigging, but it does look nicer. My only concern is with what appears to be a crazed alcoholic somewhere near the bow.

The offset 16x16 plate is a unique touch, and I may have to copy it to create buildings at an angle. I also like the surveying equipment, but I can't tell what the round piece is you used for the tripod.

I've been admiring this build for a few days now, and my appreciation for this build hasn't diminished in the slightest. The colors you selected work well together, and the exterior of the building is very clean and well-presented. Your interior is very impressive, and I have spent quite a bit of time admiring all the details the interior has to offer. I think the main structure would look better if it has a roof similar to that of the wings, but that is a small matter.

If the values are off by a few DBs, it could be due to rounding. Oleon also has licensing and income taxes which will result in slightly higher costs and slightly lower yields. Lavalette is the only settlement to be exempt from the taxation.

Quite a bit. You may consider making the uniform consistent with the timer period and your faction's colors (a green coat on a Corrish officer would be strange), but there are no serious limitations. You are required to start out with custom MOCs. All ships in this game are custom, and there is no maximum size limit. You may not be able to afford licensing an 80-gun ship, but there is nothing stopping you from building it, having your character sail around in it (strictly for your story, no MCRA benefits), and then ultimately licensing it when the time is right. Your faction leaders should be able to help you more. Character progression is a good thing and encouraged, but there are no rules requiring it. You do need DBs (the in-game currency) to license troops, ships, and properties. Private militaries are likely to be determined on a faction-by-faction basis, but I think most factions would permit you to raise your own troops provided you don't go starting any wars. WTC=Wayfarer Trade Company. One of several trade companies in the game. Others include RNTC, ETTC, MAESTRO, and MCTC (I think I forgot one or two). OOC=Out-of-character IC=In-character The last two are used to help determine when a response is your character's reaction or your personal reaction.

I wouldn't worry about running out of room in BOBS. Regardless if your projection is right or wrong, there is plenty of space, discovered and undiscovered, to explore and develop. I also wouldn't expect any information on latitude and longitude as that could give away the total size of the map (I could be wrong on this). I am confident that the map will slowly be revealed by player actions, challenges, etc. as the game progresses.

As Bregir stated, everyone who works with BOBS does so voluntarily. Things can be forgotten or overlooked, and occasionally a polite reminder is needed. I don't think anyone is blaming you for not knowing about this rule. Let's leave this thread for discussing Kotz's build. Very nice build. The curved stairs leading up to the building are nice, and I you did a nice job making the building look Oleandish. The SNOT bricks on the side of the building are just enough to make it look imperfect, but not decrepit. I wish your figs all the best as they set out. In regards to the licensing, Bregir is right. Long before this build, it was established that government buildings are generally considered arts and culture. It may not be a perfect fit, but that was the determination reached by the Court as a whole, not one individual. If the rules are not updated to reflect this determination, that will be corrected shortly.

@Mjazzw7 We're always happy to have new players join BOBS, but it looks like you are trying to create a new faction. Players are required to start in one of the four existing factions. From there, players can build MOCs to develop fleets and armies. Please read the introduction and quick start guide to learn more about the BOBS game and world. Furthermore, we ask that you give credit when using other people's images and builds. Using a picture as inspiration is perfectly acceptable, but credit should be given to the original designer. If you have any further questions, please ask them in the general introduction topic.

One can always dream. You are asking if it's possible to fight against your own faction, right? That's how I read it and that's how I was responding. If you're asking if it's possible to fight with (use) troops from your faction to support your efforts, the answer is yes as long as you include them in the AMCRA form.

Nicely done, Bregir. A simple build, but as Captain Aubrey Cooke knows, there is no substitute for well-drilled gunners. I think a SNOT sky would look better, but it's still a nice, clean presentation.

Several faction leaders and support leaders are handling non-player factions. There is no official process to expel members, but if the situation became that serious the Court and the leaders of the faction in question would reach a solution. Players are able to switch factions (but be warned there are EGS penalties), and I have to imagine this would happen before expulsion. The Brethren Court (all the faction leaders and support leaders). So far this has not been a major issue. If you feel that there are issues, please inform a faction or support leader, and they can ensure the concern is addressed by the Court. I would imagine so (not an authoritative answer), but be warned that the faction would likely strike back by seizing properties, ships, DBs, etc. That said, don't let me get in the way of a Corrie civil war.

It's great to see these fantastic troops in action. The poses are very good, especially for the soldier about to break down the door. The story is well written, and looks like the beginnings of a fun adventure. The window in the wall is a little too low in my opinion, but other than that the build looks excellent.

Oleon does not have a public policy on dealing with natives. That said, the settlement of Fatu Hiva shows Oleon and natives living and working together side-by-side. In it's description, the RNTC notes that it will use native forces, similar to the sepoys in India, though these have not yet been depicted. In Dragonstone, Brandon Stark stated that Oleon and the natives were initially violent towards each other, but ultimately reached an alliance with each other. Some other factions have depicted Oleon as being brutal towards natives, but I write this off as artistic license.

An interesting development to be sure. Hopefully Sinbad knows what he's doing by surrendering himself to the authorities. You have a nice, clean MOC with all the necessary components. The walls could use a bit more detail, but overall it's a solid build.

I actually think the exterior looks fine. Perhaps not the fanciest building in the Brick Seas, but the classic-Lego design looks fine to me. And the bay windows look really nice. Nice job with the interior, too. You included all the necessary equipment and supplies, and you did a nice job illustrating the printing process.
