  1. A very nice and well presented scene. A good story, and the ships are nice. The island could use a little work, perhaps some trees and more rocks, but overall it looks really good.
  2. Huzzah! Another member for glorious Oleon! Welcome aboard and hopefully you'll be in better health soon.
  3. Nicely done. I always enjoy a bustling port scene, and this build is no exception. I particularly like that you included sea life growing on the quay.
  4. Given the uneventful voyage, this is a really nice story to show some sort of action taking place. The raft is well done and you did an excellent job making it appear to be wreckage from a larger vessel.
  5. Excellent way to show an expansion. The plowed fields are nicely done with a great attention to detail with the dark tan and the brown along the rows.
  6. It's about time you've had some work done on her. The build is really well done. The small details, like the supports and sawhorses, help add to the scene, but the real gem has to be the frigate under construction in the background. I would love to see more shots of her.
  7. Another amusing story as always. The writing is fantastic and makes me laugh. Can't wait to see next month's results and inevitable hangings.
  8. Very nice build. I love how you made the angled beams with the 1x6 tiles, and as others have already said, the interior is very nicely done. Overall, you've done an excellent job of capturing the look and feel of a middle-class Oleander's home.
  9. Zeus Island/Île de Zeus Isle of Tyche/Île de Tyche
  10. Congratulations, good sir. You're efforts to improve our noble empire have not gone unnoticed.
  11. Looks like a fun place to be put ashore. You have plenty of activity, and I like the multiple shades of blue as the water gets more and more shallow. The watchtower looks a little unsafe. No ladder, no safety railings, it's just an accident waiting to happen.
  12. A very fun way to showcase an amazing build. I'm particularly fond of the balcony, especially the studs on the sides. The beach and palm trees are a great addition to this already incredible build. I'm curious as to what trade company the good captain used to work for. The flag seems so familiar, but I can't quite place it with any company I know of...
  13. As odd as it might seem, I really love the cavalry rider. First off, the torso is perfect, but what really stands out is the posing of the horse! I'm going to have to use that pose one day. The actual build is excellent. It's nice to see an often overlooked part of history, and you did a great job replicating it. The build looks rugged and unrefined, perfect considering that Eltina is the less developed town. My only suggestion would be to replace the gold pieces as it makes the build look too steampunk (not my style).
  14. This looks like the makings of an excellent story. I am excited to see where this goes. The landscape is quite nice. You did a good job of creating some ruins or walls overrun with grass and weeds. In the first picture, it looks like there's something red (a parrot?) in the tree. Perhaps you could put that over your character so it is easier to see. I really like the cabin. It's great to see what you can create without specialized Lego ship parts.
  15. Very nice, clean build, and the interior is a great added bonus. Plenty of Oleandish details that really help to set the scene, and I like the subtle texturing along the quay. As mentioned above, the buildings' exteriors could use a little work, but it still looks very nice. Not sure about the trans-black for the water. Maybe for some polluted Corringlandish town, but it's really not the best representation of our pristine waters .
  16. That's certainly not what I was expecting. Good job on the overall build. There are some good details throughout the build, such as the small rocks and the moss on the larger rock formations. I sure hope they have another crate of rum stashed away somewhere. There's no way 6 bottles will last for long.
  17. I'm against the idea of being able to upgrade licenses. It may have happened in real life, but this game is not a perfect reflection of real life (e.g. in combat, a 5A with 32 pound cannonades is treated the same as a 5A with 12 pound guns) and this change adds an unnecessary level of complexity. Plus, it seems that this mechanic would simply be exploited by people who want to build a smaller ship and upgrade its license. That doesn't seem fair to builders who actually take the time and effort to go about building a new, larger ship.
  18. Looks like Corrington is off to a good start. An excellent build all around, and I'm surprised at how well the yellow and tan work together for the beach. The towers are fantastic as well. The seemingly random use of pieces makes them look very much like something built with scrap wood, and it is neat that they are all unique.
  19. Very nice job. It's great to see figs from all walks of life and the stories behind them. They're all unique and fun to read, really well told. The build is really nice as well. Good job with the trans-clear around the pylons and the use of multiple shades of brown for the dock. It adds to the weathered look. If possible, I recommend turning the brown log pieces (used in the building infested with Corringlanders) on their sides to represent stacked logs, similar to a log cabin. Not sure of too many construction styles that would keep the logs upright like they currently are.
  20. That's a really fun MOC. I like the micro-foliage and mountain. I suggest adding some different colored minifig hands to the top of the masts to represent flags. It would also help make the ships more distinguishable.
  21. Nice little vessel. I like the little swivel gun and the idea of pirates using deception to capture their prey. I'm rather concerned that Miles' first response upon hearing of possible Oleanders is to grab a musket. Sounds like he's spoiling for a fight.
  22. Very nice ship. Overall, you've done an excellent job capturing all the details and components of a sailing ship. The headrails and figurehead are particularly nice, as is the brick built flag. My only complaint would be the stern galleries. On most ships I've seen, the galleries slope inwards instead of out.
  23. Fantastic job! The lattice windows are really nicely done, especially the large one on the second floor. The white accents throughout help to make the building much more interesting and good use of the various grey pieces to add texture and detail to the exterior. I approve
  24. A simple, yet nice build. The scene is well built, and that is a nice ship. I find the sails to be a little odd, since the main sails appear to be blowing in the wind while the upper sails are limp. As usual the story is great! In a world with so much uncertainty, one thing I can count on is your stories being entertaining.
  25. That's a paticularly nice build. I really like the roof and the distinct difference between the two levels adds some variety to the build. Am I the only one who is reminded of the Hamburglar by the robber? Striped shirt, round hat, eyes covered, perhaps he's a more-violent cousin.
