[ESL - CH 1B] The last of the Vikings!
This is a unique take on the islanders; I like it. The trees are fantastic, and I like the gold accents on the longhouse. The fire seems a little odd; I can't tell if it's supposed to be a fire pit or just burning logs.

[ESL - FB1] The Healer of Elysabethtown
Glad to see someone is making advances in medicine, though she must be quite the miracle worker to save both legs. A nice build all around. The fireplace is quite good, and I like the use of dark and normal brown for the floor. I'll be interested to see how the seemingly quite active Elysabeth behaves until her legs heal.

[SR - FB1] Cannon Factory
A really nice build, and it's always nice to see (reasonably) sober pirates working instead of looting. It looks like you've included every step in the process, and I like the various equipment and details at each step. I would say that it looks a little too clean for a busy foundry; maybe some junk or bottles on the floor could help.

[OL - Ch1 Cat A] Sacred Shrooms
A fun build with great facial expressions. Nice foliage, though I might suggest adding some more colors, and I like the dark grey plates. For some reason, the grey plates reminds me of a solidified lava flow, which fits in perfectly with a newly discovered volcanic island. I wonder if this experience will convince Phred to be content with his daily ration of grog.

[COR - Ch1 Cat B] The sheltered cove
Looks like quite a few Corringlanders are suffering from an identity crisis, seeing as they're wearing Oleon blue. The story is absolutely fantastic; it feels authentic to the time period, and it is a great compliment to the build. Nice use of parts for the beach and cliff, and the water/wave effect looks good. I am curious as to why there are nets lining the cliff.

[SR - FB] Revenge on Mardier
That's a really nice scene. I like the addition of the bell tower in the background. I would recommend breaking up the sand green along the base of the quay, perhaps by using some plates, to prevent it from being all at a single layer.

[ESL-Ch1a] Orbinson Crux and Mercredi
An interesting story with a nice MOC to go along with it. The trees are nice, but I'm particular fond of the ground and the use of the brown curved piece to represent tree trunks.

[OL-FB] The Pegasus
Another excellent ship, and it's really nice to see the matching color schemes. I don't have anything to add that hasn't already been said; just a fantastic build all around. That you managed to include a tumblehome only adds to this already amazing vessel. Others have already mentioned it, but I think the hull is too boxy at the stern. Perhaps using some of the 2x3s along the edges would help.

[SR - MRCA 1] Results: Fate of the Dogged Wench
A rather extreme solution, but it does make for a nice MOC. The lighting is well done, and while simple, the MOC looks fine.

[ESL-FB3] This Ole House
An excellent and elegant house. Fountains on the roof are unique, but it does look quite nice. I really like the pillars, especially along the first level. Very nice use of parts. I am a little bothered by the two different styles used for the doors. I think keeping them consistent would look better. Nonetheless, it is a minor point. Approved

Islander Business
My gosh, no overdraft protection on the Brick Seas and no mercy from overzealous bankers either . I'll be sure to keep my accounts in order. Either that or a purse filled with blue beads. The build is well done. The overview shows just the amount of detail that went into the sand, and the trees look fine. Though, it does remind me more of Egypt than the Caribbean (mostly due to the minifigs).

[Esl - FB 1] : Diplomatic Meeting
I'm afraid I don't have too much to add to the discussion, but I really like the forced perspective. I really like the second shot apart from the fact that the village is mostly hidden by Senor Manzana. When I first saw the second pic, I thought the temple in the background was a volcano about to explode.

[COR - MRCA 1] Escape at Holders Rock
Really neat microbuild. I like the differences between the two ships, plus the fact that the pennants are flying in the right direction. This island is a nice addition and adds some interest to the ocean. Keep it up!

[ESL-FB3] Weelond Brewing Company
A very nice brewery indeed. I am not too familiar with the distilling and brewing processes, but it looks good to me. The exterior is also well done, especially the area around the chimney. Approved .

[OL-FB] Stone and pancake
Those are some nice boats, and I am particularly fond of the brick-built hull as opposed to the prefabs. I would recommend adding some rigging and sails (even basic rigging goes a long way). And of course, it's always great to see Oleon's fledgling fleet start to grow!

[OL - FB1] Orders
Very kind words, thank you. And yes, it is supposed to be a brig. Most of my inspiration comes from Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey-Maturin series. An excellent series, but you might need to brush up on your nautical terminology. Other historical nonfiction about the late 18th century (mostly about the American navy) also inspire me. Thank you.

[OL - FB1] Orders
Oh, nothing against the Little Hermes; just some obnoxious officer who seems to have forgotten his place . Besides, I'm sure he has a different opinion of the Hermes now seeing how poorly some other ships performed. Thank you. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who finds furniture difficult to build. Very kind words indeed. The tiles are a bit of an oversight, and one that I'll have to remember for future MOCs (it's easy to overlook presentation when you're focused on the building). I'm glad you like it. I agree that a tiled floor would look better (this gives me an excuse to place another BL order!), and I'm glad you're a fan of the chairs.

Feast at "The Spin of Fate" - FB1
A fun little build, and I can think of no better way to prepare for a violent, potentially deadly duel. I really like the part use for the coat rack (I can never find a good use for the round plate with the 4 prongs), and it certainly has a lively feel to it. I would recommend adding a lower shelf behind the bar (the current one looks a little too high to be readily accessible), possibly with some liquor on it, but it appears that most of the liquor is already on the tables .

[ESL - MRCA End] : The end of the Appleseed
It's a shame to see such a fine vessel at the bottom of the seas. I'm glad to see the captain escape, and will look forward to his new and improved vessel. As for the build, I think you did a great job. The coral has some particularly nice parts usage with the flippers and hairbrushes. All the wreckage strewn about the seafloor is a great addition.

The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion
My first freebuild of the month is up. @Sparhawk: Welcome aboard! It's always nice to see new faces, and I'm sure you'll find us a welcome refuge from the pirate prison you've just recently escaped. @Mr. Townsend: Hopefully you can join in the February MCRA. It's pretty lonely being the only Oleander on the seas.

[OL - FB1] Orders
I meant to post this last month, but got caught up with work. I am particularly interested in criticism on the furniture, as that is something that I have never built a lot of in the past. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Captain Anthony Genaro" announced the steward. With his hat under his left arm, Captain Genaro paused and bowed towards the idol of Poseidon on the mantle before immediately turning towards the commandant's desk and the unknown gentleman, a scowl on his face, sitting behind it. "I'm afraid, sir, that I have not yet made your acquaintance," said Genaro, standing resolute. "Humph, and a small wonder, too. Shaggy, unshaven, and a wig that doesn't even properly cover the whole head" observed the stranger just loud enough for Genaro to hear. "I am Monsignor Befort de Granoleon, assistant to His Majesty's representative. Yes, I know you are meeting with Commandant Millet, but he is indisposed of, and as his assistant, I am taking all his appointments for the time being." The Admiralty Without offering a seat to Genaro, Befort rummaged through the papers that littered the desk, came up with a folded letter, and handed it to Genaro. Taking a sip of wine (which Befort had also declined to offer to Genaro), Genaro began to read the letter and was astonished by what he saw. "Surly there has been a mistake!" exclaimed Genaro. "It appears that I have been the Little Hermes, a mere merchantman." Looking up from his paperwork, Befort paused and stared at Genaro. "You are an officer in the King's fleet and a servant to the crown, and you shall do as he and his representatives command." "This command may be fitting of a lieutenant, but I am a proper post-captain and am entitled to," Genaro began to object. "You are entitled to nothing, Captain" interrupted Befort, "you may either take this command or you may deny it. It makes no difference to me, but do hasten with your decision as you are not the only appointment I have today." The Admiralty Minutes later, a furious Captain Genaro exited the Admiralty building, orders for the Little Hermes in hand. It may have been a blackguardly offer, but Genaro's heart longed for the sea (and the full pay that came with it), and you couldn't turn down a command without being blacklisted for years to come.

[Oleon - FB] Barracks of Breshaun
Given the constraints with that wall piece, I'd say you did a fantastic job. The way the building is angled relative to the base is well done, and the overall scene is filled with action. I've always imagined barracks having a flag waving over them, so adding an Oleon flag would be my only suggestion. It does look like it'll be a bit crowded if you ever get reinforcements.
