MOC: Dalek Stair Training
In the swamps of the Dalek planet Skaro, the Daleks are preparing for their universal invasion. But one thing stands in their way – stairs. Help teach Dalek Sak to levitate above both the swamp waters and the staircase to spread fear on the Daleks’ glorious mission! Long live Skaro! Set includes one Dalek Sak, humanoid training dummy and Skaro swamp, complete with training staircase. ~Dalek design does not belong to me. I made this vignette to highlight Daleks and their most dreaded enemies - the stairs.

MOC: Kino der Toten
While I agree it is a shame that I will not be making all of Kino, I have my reasons. The cost to build the entire thing would be a minimum $1200, and I do not have the time nor funds available. I will keep trying to make more Call of Duty creations though. In reply to the swastika concern, I felt the floor was too boring and plain (in-game there are chairs etc. strewn around the room) and it was to represent that this was the theatre from Kino der Toten. I in no way support Nazi views.

MOC: Kino der Toten
Thank you. I'm sorry to announce that this is all that shall be made of Kino, due to certain part restrictions. I have, however added tiling to the "top" of the MOC, and I may post them on my flickr account, which also has my Nacht der Untoten and Ascension.

MOC: Kino der Toten
Hello everyone, today I bring you my next MOC - Kino der Toten. This MOC is a rough replica of the starting room from the Call of Duty: Black Ops - Zombies game mode. Altered are the front of the map, where I have instead added the cinema entrance from the 50 year anniversary set, the teleporter's shape and placement (credit to Cool Whip for his design) and a lack of doors at the top of the stairway. So I present to you, Kino der Toten: Overview: Inside Overview: Enjoy, and feel free to comment and criticise.

MOC's: Nacht der Untoten and Ascension
I present to you all two MOC's - Nacht der Untoten (first floor only) and Ascension's Lunar Lander Station "A". I built both during the Summer holidays, after returning from England, so both are only recent. I understand Ascension isn't exact, however I've been restricted for some aspects. Full descriptions can be found on each flickr photo's page. I'm relatively proud of these, however I will not be updating or further building either of the MOC's. The minigun's design is that of LEGOhaulic's, I believe. I like to create things I see a lack of in the LEGO community that I also enjoy, such as my latest Zelda creation, and these two. First up are the photos for Ascension, my favourite Zombies map: Tank and Richtofen Takeo Takes on a Zombie Nikolai Overview Staircase Shot Box Placement and Inaccurate Window The Lander Caller and Inaccurate Wall Tank Dempsey The Usual Crowd Samantha Maxis Next we have Nacht der Untoten's first floor: Overview From Barricade Starting Room Help Room Broken Wall From the Back Taken to Sections Extras: Robert Englund Fidel Castro Sarah Michelle Gellar Michael Rooker Link's Uncle (Zelda) The Bear Jew Enjoy! Comments and criticism is always handy, thanks.

MOC: Tribly Highlands (Zelda)
Thanks everyone. Miss Kyle, I saw your design only shortly before I posted this, so I have you to thank for getting me round to actually posting it. I do believe the head came from the old Wild West sets, as there are two versions - shorter blond hair, and longer, which I have both of, so by request I will post them both. Admittedly, I prefer Link with the broad sword (?) from the barbarian of series six. On a side note, if anyone wants to build their own Minish Cap-esque Link, simply remove the gnome cap, and add the surfer's hair from series two of the Collectable Minifigures, works like a charm.

MOC: Tribly Highlands (Zelda)
Hey everyone, I just wanted to show off my latest MOC that I designed to show off my (purist) custom Link minifigure. I took quite a bit of inspiration and advice from "Derfel Cardarn"'s guide to building medieval scenes to design the landscape, as you'll be able to tell. Also not of my own design is the Bublin and rider, which were created by "flailx" over on flickr. However I'm proud to say I took no inspiration for Link himself, however I have noticed several others using the same design as of late. So, I present to you all, my custom Trilby Highlands: Overall view #1 My link to Link Link talking to Blacksmith Shot from river Back view Ramshackle shelter Overall view #2 Bublin and Rider View from bridge

CoD MOCcing
For the first time here on Eurobricks, I'm going to get down to business straight away. I plan to build a CoD: ZOMBIES MOC, for myself, and (hopefully) to display at the Perth Train Exhibition on the PALS display (I have yet to contact them about this). I have a basic idea of what I am building, however, I do not have enough to actually start it. This is where you guys come in: I would like to hear ideas of what format to build in, e.g. hinged, playable building, or a plain building, with little features, this will help me get a solid idea of what I'm building. I also need to know where would be good places to stick barricaded doors/windows, to recreate the feel of a ZOMBIES map. I already have some ideas which I want on this MOC (see below): A military-esque facility These elements to guard the perimeter in areas that aren't walled instead (I only have 7 of these, so I have to know where to use them(As well as use 1/2 as gates) A guard's quarters inbuilt to the facility, with a removable wall section (doubles as a zombie entrance) A detector object, that is built out of two Exo-Force robot arms and a trans-blue 4L piece on either side of the wall A bridge that spans from a double-storey warehouse to the facility The warehouse and facility to take up a 48x48 board each. Additional notes: I have just over 2500 1x2 w/ ridges in Light Bluish Grey and 1500 1x2 in Dark Bluish Grey, and these will make up the walls, and possibly some SNOT flooring. I understand this may be a huge ask of the community to contribute to the making of something with what appears to have so many specifications, and I would like to say a big thank you to those who help in advance. This MOC is really important to me finishing it, because -quite literally- I can't build anything else until this is built.

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
Hopefully this hasn't been mentioned: Big W Mandurah had 2 boxes almost full of Series 3 minifigures, and it looked like that they had every character in stock. Target Joondalup had 5 boxes, however not sure what there was, as I had my family do a bit of recon-ing for me.

Just Another Castle
I noticed this when you first posted it, and I was thinking "Woah, I've got to try this when I get back to Australia. This is a truly magnificent creation, and I would love to see progress on it. One thing I noticed is how much it looks like this MOC, and I'm wondering if you used any of it for inspiration.

REVIEW: NinjaGo Skull Motorbike
I was in England for the new year, and was lucky enough to be in Tesco on New Year's Eve, where just that morning a stand with about half of the new NinjaGo sets on display had been revealed. Not to miss an opportunity, I snapped up two of the spinner sets, and decided to buy the Skull Motorbike as it was cheaper than buying two seperate figs. Hence this review: Product Name: Skull Motorbike Set No.: 2258 Minifigures: 2 Year: 2011 The NinjaGo Skull Motorbike is scheduled for release this year in January/February, alongside 4-5 "proper" theme sets, and several "spin-off" sets. (Excuse the pun.) First, the box. The bike takes up roughly 30-45% of the box's front, with our hero Jay only holding 10-20% of the box (including the picture of him at the top. Chopov looks like he's ready to pick up all the skeladies on that huge bike of his, and with his new black army helmet, he's going to be having trouble fitting them all on his bike (believe me, I've tried). Jay however, appears to be jealous of our helmet-loving friend, despite the fact that he has a pair of golden nunchucks, and the ability to fly around on a whirlwind. Next is the DSS, which is tiny, with two stickers taking 90% of the sheet's space. It didn't come crumpled, however I dislike having any pieces with print on them, printed or not, so I left them off. Now we move onto the special parts, which there seem to be a lot of, due to Chopov being made of either new or recoloured parts. Other noteworthy parts are the 1x4 flat trans-red piece, which is used for red, evil eyes, the black katana with the "square" guard, the golden handles and the small, 5-link golden chain. The minifigures in the set, which is two, one of each warring faction, make for a nice, 1-on-1 battle, though due to Chopov having a huge motorbike (and a large bone, which he can't seem to put down, and also seems slightly off), it's a bit on the hard side for Jay. Jay is nothing special, he has what appears to be a young, scowling child's face underneath that beautiful blue ninja mask, while Chopov doesn't care of his appearance, sporting bolts all over his body. He is dead after all, so why would he care what anyone thinks. The random insruction page shows the motorbike taking up most of the page, as do the other pages. The back six pages show (respectively) the function of the set (a giant whalloping skull that flies down at the flick of a switch), the inventory, two of the larger NinjaGo sets, a page showing off some of the Spinner sets, and two kids playing it (first time I saw it, in the catalogue, the androgynous kid appeared to have called his ninja from the comfortable space behind his backside, into battle, and also had his hand in a place that was very inappropriate. I don't care if you just beat your friend at something, you don't start air-you-know-whatting in front of a camera! This is a LEGO magazine, not an 18+ one). The last pages are the usual competition page and Max talking about Club magazine. And now, the main event, the Skull Motorbike. This baby goes an amazing as-fast-as-you-can-run mph, and sports a super-cool angry skull front "design"! But the skull has a secret, it flies forward at the flick of a switch, whacking anyone in the way. Unfortunately, I can't show you how it works, but the technique is very useful, so if you see it in-store, buy it for the technique at least! It has a good "swoosh" factor, though this brings out a problem. The flames that come out of the back are too long for the bike to change terrain, and you'll end up with your bike's back end flying. If these are removed, then the swoosh factor gets better, however it doesn't have a turning option, so long, 60cm turns occur frequently. The spare parts of this set would appear to be quite useful in MOC's; a third skeleton arm is included, and the purple pieces would be useful for alien MOC's. the fang should also be good for prehistoric MOC's, though there have been several sets lately with them, so this would be classed as an "everyday" piece. This here is an overall view of the set. What drove me to buy it was the ability to get two characters and extra pieces for less than buying two spinner sets together. Marks: Playability: 7/10: This set is great for "swooshing" around in your living room, driven by your child at heart, or by your actual child, and with some modifications, it would be much better than it already is. And the flicking skull is also great, kids will enjoy whacking Jay, and other ninjas dead with its big white face. Pieces: 6/10: The pieces aren't very special, apart from the newer parts, which build up most of the product's worth (to parts collectors, or those who want a lot of pieces for a special MOC's) Build: 7/10: At first, it lost marks for being too square at the middle of the motorbike, but was quickly made up for by the flicking-skull feature, which makes up an important part of the set to me. Price: 8/10: The fact that you get two characters and loads of pieces for less than the price of two figures purchased separately is a great bonus, but it loses marks for being over 11 pounds (cash). Bad LEGO, stop raising the prices and lowering the quality, it's not on (no, all of the pieces were fine in this set, just a warning). Overall: 28/40: In my books, this is an "average" mark, however I still suggest you go out and buy this set, regardless. Edit: I did resize the images, trying different sizes, however the same result surfaced: "You have don't have permission to use this file extension." Eventually I gave up, and deleted most of my resized images off flickr, and just left the original images and the first time resized ones. The images though, still can be found here, though not in the correct order.

2011 City sets
In another topic, another member mentioned that the impulse sets appear to be missing for 2011. Well that appears that these are the replacements.

Review - 30008 Snowman
I literally just recieved my Club magazine in the mail and have spent the past 20 seconds looking at your pics, instead of my own, which is sitting right in front of me. (Oh, by the way, I now know how you got those great pictures of the 2011 sets, it goes to show that us in Australia aren't always last to get everything)

Two Questions
Thanks all, however, in response to CP5670's answer, I have sets from years other than 2006 that had both hollow holes and thick holes in them, and find them occuring in sets produced now. If you're right, then this would mean that TLG/TLC (what's the difference?) doesn't use their most recently produced pieces. Considering I was in a hurry when typing this, all those who helped find the answer managed to understand what I was talking about. (I'm not trying to bump the topic, just to show my appreciation.)
