Just to get all of this perfectly clear: is it still an april fools joke or is it for real and will stick?

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
Got the 75003 A-Wing back in December; I still haven't got another 2013 set since no one of the current ones really speak to me, so I think I'll hold out to the June wave.

2013 Lone Ranger Sets
I'm pretty hyped for the Lone Ranger theme and the sets look great, however it won't be released where I live until June so I'll have to wait for a while; still, I'm looking forward to more good reviews that I'm sure you guys will put together.

New Licensed Theme Rumor Mill
I agree with Clone O'OPatra. The Simpsons is not that adult anymore when compared to most other animated sitcoms nowadays; yes, there's some more raunchy stuff and references but it is still a show young viewers can and does watch with their parents or otherwise. For example, LOTR are rather adult movies (lots of violence and scary & unsettling moments) but LEGO still made sets based off of them so I don't see why The Simpsons can't be LEGO-fied as well (but I admit that it is something I definitely didn't expect to see up on LEGO's table as a probable project).

Legends of Chima 2013
Looking at Razcar the raven, he kind of reminds me of the Skeksis from that 80's puppet movie 'The Dark Crystal':

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
If there eventually will be a Treebeard set I feel that it would be in the $20 or maybe in the $29 range.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
Lego The Hobbit site updated with the Riddles For The Ring set: http://thehobbit.lego.com/en-us/products/79000 Seems like even though the artwork says otherwise, Gollum will have the same expression as in the Shelob Attacks set.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
I'm sure that page has got it wrong; Barrel Escape is most likely the exclusive set (to make the smallest and cheapest set exclusive would just be plain odd).

[MOC] My own planet : Kashyyyk - Chewbacca - Oevvaor
Great MOC; nice job done with this one. I really like how the catamaran turned out and the brick-built Kashyyyk looks quite impressive.

Happy Birthday Bilbo and Frodo!
I built myself a little Hobbit birthday party on a green baseplate with a somewhat limited number of pieces, but it still turned out quite well.

Review for 9470 Shelob Attacks
That's why I put "If I'm not missing one" in the post; it felt like if I was gonna miss one which I did. So what do you guys think about Frodo not getting a scene-specific torso in this set and getting the same one as in Weathertop?

Review for 9470 Shelob Attacks
Nice review. Got this set some time last month and it is a great and very nicely priced set with a great & super articulated brick-built spider and three solid figures; perhaps the best value in the line so far. There is still one thing that bothers me a bit: why didn't LEGO have a white shirt & suspenders-only torso for Frodo in this set (since he didn't have his vest or jacket at this point in the movie); the Indiana Jones minifig had, If I'm not missing one, three different torsoes (regular with jacket, without jacket and the white tuxedo) and Jack Sparrow had two (with jacket and without jacket; he even got two hairpieces, one with hat and one without) so it felt a bit cheap for Lego to just use same Frodo torso from the Weathertop set.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
Exactly (and maybe in early January if we're lucky); I assume the first 2013 sets will be released in May or June.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
I am sure those are still pretty far away; we most likely won't see the 2013 prelims until sometime next year.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
I already said this in the Video game thread, but I'll say here as well and add some stuff: It feels like Sméagol should not have been a preorder code exclusive; he would have made a perfect secret unlockable character (in the vein of Indiana Jones in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga) in all versions of the game so that no player, no matter which console they own, feels left out.

REVIEW: 9469 Gandalf Arrives
First off, solid review of an in my opinion nice litte set. The minifigures are solid, the new horse is great and I really like the cart (also, quite a bit of accessories for a small set like this). It does feel like the book should have been depicted to be in Frodo's hands rather in the cart since he was reading one in the movie, though. Second, I don't think it's such a stupid scene to make a set off; Gandalf's arrival is an important (and somewhat iconic) scene and the set does a good job depicting it, it's an overall good choice for something of a 'starter set'. Yes, maybe it could have had a third minifigure, but it's really nothing that in my opinion makes this set worse (and if they would have included Sam or Bilbo, it would have been a bit of a stretch since they weren't introduced yet at the point this scene happens).

LEGO Lord of the Rings
Maybe it's just me, but I feel that Sméagol shouldn't have been an exclusive; he would have been perfect as a secret unlockable character (like Indiana Jones in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga).

Hobbiton - A long expected Party
A very good and impressive MOC indeed; great job done with this one. I like the whip and the pith helmet in the corner inside Bag End (first thing that came to mind was that you put them there as a nod to Indiana Jones but I might be completely wrong ); also, great technique used for the candle and it's holder.

Sand Green Minifig Arms Cracking Easily
I contacted customer service today by mail and told them about the crackage problem and I recived the usual mail where they state that they'll send me a replacment piece (the torso). I hope they'll look into this sand green issue soon.

Future Star Wars Sets
I'm hoping for a set (maybe a battle pack) with the sand red Geonosis battle droids; they only appeared in the 2003 version of the Geonosian Fighter so it's about time they show up in a set again. Some non-CW EpII clone troopers would also be nice.
