LEGO decoration swatches for Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
dutchlegofan50 replied to BrokenEye's post in a topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and ProjectsThanks for this. I noticed that you have used RGB which is fine for monitor use. For printing purposes a CMYK version would be even more useful. Ryan Howerter has published the most extensive colour table I know of (link). For all LEGO colours there are RGB values as well as CMYK. A while ago I was busy making colour swatches based on these CMYK values. I use these in Adobe InDesign to make stickers and when making instructions. But I haven't attempted to create the full range of colours in this yet. If there is enough interest I'll give it a try. I will then do that in the format .ase, which stands for Adobe Swatch Exchange. That way you can load a colour palette into PhotoShop or InDesign without having to mess with your program files folder. My background is in the printing industry, I know a bit (30 years of experience) about reproducing colours :-)

The drawer under the bed (with socks in it) is a fantastic nod to IKEA’s storage solutions. Really like that!

Poorly Cut Stickers on 2019 City Space Sets 60226 and 60227
I built 60227 last week. The printing of my sticker sheet was very good centred, but I noticed that the glue was extremely strong. When I tried to reposition one of the large stickers the glue form the sticker was left behind on the part. Never experienced this before! @Vorkosigan: Normally LEGO doesn't replace stickers (at least, that's what I believe), but when you send your picture to LEGO they should make a replacement. And preferably with 4 new dark blue large flag parts to apply them on... :-)

[MOC] THE QUEEN BRICKTORIA PUB
Fantastic build! I wonder what parts make the phone box? Can't figure out from the pics how you made the side panels.

[MOC] Lustron House
A very thoughtful design! You captured the essence of Lustron houses very well and your presentation is flawless. Great work and I can't wait to build it myself. Any chance of putting instructions online (or made available upon request)?

a Special Place to Visit ( modular building moc )
I'm impressed, what a great building! It has a real 19th century natural history museum look and feel. The floor tiling is superb. Are those colors pearl gold, medium azure and dark red? I'll definitely borrow some interior details for my next modular. :-)

The AFOL Brick House
Awesome! Grandissimo! Very creative build and funny texts as well. I would buy such a house for myself without hesitation.

LEGO as a therapeutic hobby?
Like Murdoch17 I too have the Asperger Syndrome. I was 50 (April 2011) when I found out... My life has changed completely since I know I have it. In October 2011 I bought my first Lego-set so that should be my out-of-the-dark-ages moment. Learning what Asperger is and how to cope with it in an hectic world with just too many people wanting you to 'be social' has made my life much more easy. And playing with/collecting Lego relieves me from the day-to-day work stress. Man, am I happy being Asperger & AFOL!! So, is LEGO therapeutic? I'm a living example!

Brickset down?
This must be a nightmare for Huw and I sympathize with him. Some months ago my web shop was off-line for about two days (and I lost orders). I had to work on it day and night because the site was hosted in The Netherlands but the programming work had to be done in India...... Anyway we all do miss Brickset, don't we?
