  1. Loose joints, that's strange. CCBS parts can break (like every Lego part, of course), but it's very rare, especially compared to the 2007-2010/2011 ball cups. I believe it has been discussed on another topic before, but I can't find it right now. If you have more questions about CCBS in general in the future, you should rather ask them on this topic rather than here. At this price, you should rather feel bad for not getting more. Having bought mine from the s@h, I can tell you I would have easily bought two or three of them at this price. But a single copy is enough for me to write a review this weekend (I still have some pics to take). Haha, that's really surprising. I just hope the SW Constraction sets aren't more popular with grandpas that with kids.
  2. Well, if it doesn't look like this, then you certainly did something wrong. From what you're saying, it looks like you attached the stock to the round hole of the blaster part, and not to the cross hole, but without some details, we can't know for sure how you've built it exactly. Just in case, disassemble it and rebuild it, make sure it looks like it's supposed to look like after each step, and you should be good.
  3. That, and it's way cheaper to print it on a sheet on plastic than create a specific new mold (although they still needed to make a tool that would cut the shape of the pauldron).
  4. Is it ? You just have to paste the link.of your image and ta-da, it magically appears in your post. :p You could have used a combination of part 11090 and the claw of your choice, but perhaps that was too long ? Some people have encountered printing issues, the cross holes weren't always well "formed", so while I work on a fix, they're unavailable. I don't know, I don't think so. It depend on which part(s) you're thinking about. Oh, by the way, there are a few new-ish parts I haven't posted here : The 2x2 Mixel plates aren't for sale, but the bones can be purchased.
  5. No, the only part that could be considered as fragile are his shoulders, because you can easily remove them by pulling the arms, but it's not much different than the sets with a gearbox, like most of the 2015 BIONICLE sets, or some sets like Kylo Ren, Rey or Finn. Beside that, it's quite sturdy. Darth Vader's torso is bigger than the standard frames, so it will be difficult to adapt it. If you do it, you'll certainly have to remove some elements, like the shells on the sides, or the control panel. But why would you want to do that ?
  6. Official, the CCBS was introduced in 2011, and as you can see, I began making this in 2013. Not that I know of. Thanks. I'm really proud of it !
  7. He isn't that special, but he has an imposing and menacing feel that I like. Of course, the helmet helps that a lot. On the contrary, if I understand the appeal of the Stormtrooper Commander, I tend to prefer the Shoretrooper, mostly because his armour has some interesting color accents. I also really like Baze Malbus, it's an interesting build, he has a nice color scheme, and the figure itself looks good from about every angle. The only issue I could have is with hs gun, because it's not as elaborate as some other characters' weapons, and also because the silver hose limits the arm movement. You should get him, @BubbaFit45531. PS : I've recently received Jyn Erso. I like the way her rifle is built, but I find the trigger (which is cleverly integrated, BTW) too wobbly, so I replaced the bush by a beam :
  8. Yeah, I had a similar issue, and when I tried to make a pose of him kneeling, I've slightly damaged it, because it was "bent". You really have to be careful with that part. I think it would have been better if the skirt was printed on a cloth piece, or another material less sensitive to damage, but perhaps that would have been too expensive, or not possible at all. To attach it more easily, you can remove the thigh shells, so there would be less strain. Then, when the skirt is attached, you can "slide" the shells under it and reattach them to the legs. Oh, this is weird. Well, if you can't get it on BL, why don't you try to contact Lego Service ? Send them an email with a pic of the part, and they'll certainly send you a new one. That seems to be your only option.
  9. You should ask @Scrubs. He has already modeled these parts for Mecabricks, so perhaps he could be able to "merge" them easily.
  10. This is @1974's site, he has a lot of prototypes parts.
  11. No, flat silver parts are moulded in a silver plastic, it's metallic silver parts that are painted.
  12. Lego DOES paint parts. The Mini Cooper is a good example of this, because it contains both parts moulded in silver and painted in silver. More precisely, the parts for the front and rear bumpers are painted, while the hubcaps, the front grid, or the handles, are moulded. If you have the set, you can compare these parts, and you'll see a slight color and texture difference. If you don't, then you may wonder why bricklink lists some parts as Metallic Silver and some other as Flat Silver.
  13. For sets like 75532, or the older Bionicle vehicles, do you provide help for making the vehicles ?
  14. I've just noticed two rendering errors on the back of the box of the Stormtrooper : on the main picture, the shells on his left arm are swapped, and there is a 1M thick liftarm holding the scope, instead of a thin liftarm. PS : Now that they're available, I've ordered them from Lego Direct (among other exotic CCBS parts), here's the result : I actually don't think it looks that good, what do you guys think ?
  15. It's reddish brown. I haven't seen the 5x3L beams and the 1x11 beam, but I've counted 9 1x3 beams, and I see 2 Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular Triple (part 63869) in reddish brown. There are also at least two 22961 in dark bley (the handles). Two of these are used for the pedals, but I don't know if they are black or dark bley. Also, there's one white 1x1x1 beam on the Scout Trooper, and two on the back of the Stormtrooper.
  16. No, but there are some details on Brickset. As I said earlier, this is about the same size and weight as Darth Vader's box, so that gives us some clues about what's inside.
  17. No, but given the price and the box size, it would have to be a small character with a small vehicle. Maz Kanata's hover-scooter ?
  18. 15 : 10 23 : 6 21 : 4 14 : 3 25 : 2 1 : 1 Good luck to everyone !
  19. I'm relieved to see there's a 20€ set ; after the six Rogue One sets, which were all priced 25€, I was afraid there wouldn't be 20€ sets anymore. On another hand, I'm surprised to see that the biggest set will cost 35€, given how close it is to Darth Vader. I rather expected it to cost 30€, like Vader, so I wonder what can justify this difference.

A rOtring B20. I don't know if it has anything special though. I used it a couple times before to remove the printing of some CCBS chestpieces (example here).
  21. There's nothing 100% confirmed so far, but I would be really surprised if we don't. In this case we might as well wait for his own anthology movie. Speaking of which, the January or June 2018 wave could be dedicated to Han Solo's solo movie, and since Ep. IX doesn't come out until 2019 (May or December ?), we should get plenty of opportunities to see characters from previous movies / TV shows in Constraction form in the next couple of years. If Lego keeps the current schedule and if they don't put an end to the SW Constraction theme.

Thank you. (: I did consider using Mr Incredible's legs, but I chose Mickey's legs so I wouldn't have to swap the hips. As @Robianco said, the Artic Explorer's boots are dark blue. I think this page on Brickset shows the complete list of plain dual molded legs.

Just gave boots to my A-Wing pilot : As plain dual molded red / black legs don't exist, I've bought Mickey's legs on BL, and I removed the printing. I could use an eraser for the white dots, but I had to use nail polish remover for the yellow shoes.
