  3. Thanks for the review, Veebs. I hadn't noticed before reading your review that Ekimu uses 5M bones for his lower legs, I was pretty sure he would come with the newly introduced 6M bones. Beside that, he's a good set, with an interesting build.
  4. Come on... In a way, you're right, he's no longer working on future sets... but that's because he's part of the Creator team now, that's all. Same in France.
  5. Apparently, UtD has been spotted in a Toys'R'Us in France. No price tag, though, there were only four boxes and the other 2H sets weren't there. I'm pretty confident they will be released in June in Europe too.
  6. It's not a towball, it's a round eye (part 58176).
  7. How different is it to work on Star Wars figures compared to Bionicle ? On one hand, you seem to be able to use more different parts (I'm thinking of Cody, who has white shells in four different sizes, or Rey, who has a lot of recolors, or the brand new torso specially devlopped for the SW line), but on the other hand, you might be compelled to follow some instructions / rules from Disney. Umarak is said to be as old as Okoto. However, it took him thousands of years to put his hands on one of the Elemental Creatures he was meant to hunt. What did he do during all this time ? Is he a really bad hunter, or was he busy doing something else ? Can you confirm Umarak's design is inspired by the Wendigo ?
  8. Then you might be interested in this tutorial. I cut a slit in the back, just above the zip, with a craft knife. However, you have to be careful, if you put too much pressure, you can cut the front too. I haven't totally understood Kalhiki's explanation, but it's very possible that we proceed the same way.
  9. Is the implementation of mechanisms in Constraction sets a part of the evolution of the CCBS, or is it mainly a nod to the G1 ? Have you ever considered releasing mask packs for the G2 ? Could an artbook of Bionicle be published at some point in the future ? And now the most important question : when will Galidor return ?
  10. Ah, true, they're also visible on the picture where the hood is open : That's disappointing.
  11. Of course. Just like you have to put liftarms on the steered axles on the 8258 or 42009 to keep them aligned. Then you remove them.
  12. And I thought he was going to announce the release of a Bionicle magazine... Speaking of that, the publisher in France, Panini comics, says on its website that the first issue will be released on the 23rd June (I wish it was earlier, like in Germany), and that it will cost 5,90€ (about 6,6 USD and 4,5£, apparently). The publication on BS01's Facebook page says so, so I guess he does take questions here too. That may require a new topic, either here or in the Embassy. But I'll leave it to Dorek. Anyway, congratulations, Dorek. I'm sure you'll have a great time there.
  13. Not having an helmet wouldn't change much, since as you say, they always wear the same outfit. :p However, it's true that Luke's head could be used on Poe's body to make Luke as a pilot. But even in this case, the use is limited to the character alone : I've never seen a MOC which uses a CCBS (in before MOCs with Galidor head or Buzz Lightyear's head ) human head since they were introduced in 2012. Anyways, I have nothing against human heads in CCBS sets. I simply think reusability is not as important in the Star Wars line as in other themes. I don't know. Her hair could've been in the way anyway, and the use of the special gearbox-neck piece doesn't help with articulation either. However, I also wish she didn't have her headgear. It would have been nice to recreate the final battle (although we would also have needed Kylo Ren without his helmet), which is easier to do than MOCcing her speeder at the right scale.
  14. The sets will most certainly be Jyn Erso, K-250 and a Death Trooper. It doesn't bother me if the heads or the helmets can't be reused in MOCs without screaming "Star Wars". I think it's more important to have heads that are faithful their movie counterpart, even if that implies sacrificing reusability.
  15. As an Ambassador, could you ask Lego about the state of the theme ? I don't know if they would be able to answer, but some official clarification would be nice anyway.
  16. #2 : - 1 point #17 : - 2 points #24 : - 1 point #30 : - 1 point
  17. Looks like there will be dark tan #17 and #18 panels in the Ninjago set 70596 Samurai X Cave Chaos : Might be useful for... military MOCs, maybe ?
  18. VBBN's reviews might help you deciding which sets to get. There were a lot of creative sets in 2014, and a great variety of mechs among the two waves. Beasts-wise, Jaw Beast and Tunneler Beast are my absolute favourites.
  19. I've found the two flag pieces a few days ago, and planned to use them in a MOC. You've beaten me to it. :v You did a great job here (will you ever stop making amazing MOCs ?), but what I like the most here is the mask : what you did with the Chima armour is simply brilliant.
  20. On the contrary, I'm glad they didn't use the same parts as the Toa on him. Golden Vorox armours would certainly be good for MOCing and could have looked good on Ekimu, but at least their absence, and the absence of a PoU clearly show that he's not a Toa, but rather a bigger version of his "regular" self. Of course, the end result is predictable, but that doesn't bother me too much, to be honest. However, I also think it would have been refreshing to see a functionality based on the Creature gear. Something similar to Skull Basher's function, maybe. EDIT : And at least he doesn't have silver hands and feet anymore.
  21. It's not Uberak, it's Umarak Scissorhands. Speaking of the combo, I like the idea of using the Shadow Traps pieces as ribs. Also, I wish the square add-on on Ekimu's hammer were golden. It's a part I've been wanting to see in gold since... well, since 2012.
