Constraction custom parts
I once did this : There's this bone too. Beside that no, because I don't think that's what the CCBS needs. From LEGO's point of view, the old system is dead, and making new parts compatible with the old parts is a nonsense (however, making articulated hands doesn't make much more sense, because it would cost a lot of money and wouldn't significantly improve the sets). Worse, a pin hole prevents from attaching shells from two sides of the bone, which actually limits the "connectability" of the parts.

Yes, he'll be 35 USD. Unfortunately, you're seeing things. A 8M shell doesn't allow to attach the lower arm armour. So it has to be a 6M shell :

Yeah, he would be a very good parts pack. The boxes of all the sets (from here) : Strange how they're all (except Cody) posing and fighting in the background at the same time.

I've never been a fan of the idea, but now that I've seen how it would actually look like, I definitely don't want next year's Toa to have the new SW leg shell.

Yeah, not so bad. Kinda looks like Luke in the Stormtrooper disguise. Three, actually. The release date is September 4th. In fact, we're planning a contest in October / November where people will have to build the weirdest and creepiest combiner out of these sets. The prize for the winner will be a life-sized CCBS Jar-Jar bust.

Actually, that's a relief, I'm sure combiner models would have been awful.

I'm betting on Poe Dameron. I'll definitely get Cody, he looks great (and that box art is nice). One question, do the back of the boxes (or the instructions) show any combiner model ?

Constraction custom parts
Thank you. Indeed, you can't get the smooth finish on such small parts, but it does look good on bigger parts. Also, the parts tend to "wear off" when you use them, which means they get smoother and shinier with time. From my experience, I'd say that acrylic plastic is the closest you can have from ABS, but it's more expensive and brittle than polyamide (strong and flexible), so again, it's more appropriate for bigger parts. But for the hands, the "graininess" is not an issue unless you get really close.

I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand what that means. The previous one does, so I don't see why the new one wouldn't. (: (And as the dimensions are the same, both of the parts you mention should be able to be attached to the new finger part. The thicker clip of the EF robot arm may prevent it from rotating and limit the range of articulation, though.)

I was asked to make bigger hands. Here's the result : The fingers are longer (three sections instead of two), and are made of different parts. The new part works with the previous finger design, though. Here are some details : Also, perhaps you remember this. I've started a new version from scratch yesterday, and although it still needs a few modifications, I'm quite happy with the overall design. Now I need to make the lower armour. Note : the renders of the hands and the armours were made with Blender thanks to Scrubs' amazing tutorial.

2016 Action Figure Wishlist
Indeed, a third constraction theme is unlikely. And we're already getting 18 constraction sets in January. Given the price, brick-built characters (like this) are more likely. It's a thing I want to see since the Mixel joints were introduced in 2014, so I'm definitely eager to see what these Ultra guys will look like.

Lego has already released five exclusive masks for the G2. So for 2016, I'd really love to see masks packs to come back. They would definitely sell like hot cakes. Also, a Bingzak polybag could be fun.

Bionicle Skull Villain Alternate Builds
I think you guys give too much importance to this MOC. This is why I prefer regular black bones to silver bone bones : I think completely black legs look better. Thanks for the suggestion, the savage planet blades look good here. Black arms too. I've also tried silver legs : What do you think ? Are you sure ? Because they all work to me.

Haha, yeah, I actually forgot that. As you can see here, yes, it does open and close. Yup, but I don't like the result, the set's blades are heavier, so it makes the mechanism a bit slower , and I think the kaiju fins look better : BTW, taking these pics was a good opportunity to try bone bones. They do look good, shape-wise, but as I expected, the silver clashes with the black kaiju fins. I'd need them in silver, but I only have five of them (and two of which are already on Scorpio's tail), so I'll stick to black bones. :)
