Bionicle Skull Villain Alternate Builds
Nope, silver would look awful on the legs, and although I could have used them as forearms, I decided not to so I could keep the black shells and the white spikes (hardly visible on the pic). You're not the first one to suggest this, actually, and I think a lot of people would have used bone bones. But they'd look out of place here, and it's not because I can use them that I have to use them.

Bionicle Skull Villain Alternate Builds
The stinger is perfect here, it goes very well with the mechanical scorpion look of your MOC. That doesn't mean you should keep it, though, because the mechanical style will certainly clash with the organic aesthetic of Skull Scorpio. BTW, here's my own Skull Scorpio revamp with the new parts, as requested by wghost : I've just changed the eyes, the mask, the torso armour and the shoulder add-ons. And to be honest, I like the pre-revamp version better (you can see it on the first page of the topic), don't know why. Maybe because of the Skull Spider mask (I love this mask).

Constraction custom parts
Those of you who follow me on flickr already know I received another package from Shapeways yesterday. This package contained... hands ! They're roughly the same size as the good ol' 2.0 hands : You can do plenty of cool things with them, like this : Or this : Or... okay, I'm sure I don't need to post the last one. There were still some issues, though. The cross holes were too tight. I had to use a small screwdriver to enlarge them, and the clips are a bit too loose (so you can hold a (light) weapon, as you can see here, but it's not super strong). There are more pics in the flickr album.

Constraction custom parts
This is precisely why I designed this part. But as I said earlier, the top of the 2.0 torso armour (and the Breakout armour too) touches the balljoints, so it doesn't fit perfectly. The ribcage (no pic for this one) and the Brain Attack torso armours are "flat" at the top, so they don't have this problem. The Chima torso armour fits perfectly too : Now, some may find the head too high compared to the torso. It doesn't bother me that much :

Megabloks, LDD and Bricklink.
How do you know it if you don't buy them ? Anyways, it's not possible to add your own parts to LDD, Redimus. Also, this topic should rather belong to the LDD subforum, or the Community subforum (more likely, since the topic seems to be more focused on Megabloks pieces).

Constraction custom parts
In the case where the dimensions and tolerances are correct, I couldn't see any difference between this part the official Y joint, since the structure is the same. Haha, thanks. :D When I'm sure they're durable enough. I could put them on sale right now, but I don't really want people to buy parts they won't be able to use after a few days (or at all). Sure : EDIT : Also, here's my Crystal Beast revamp with the new torso :

Constraction custom parts
Thank you all. It's my favourite too, I think. I've already used it on my Crystal Beast revamp, because I thought her shoulders were too low compared to the chestpiece. The only issue I see now is that it looks a bit too broad, so I might make a 7x10 torso very soon (which may solve the collision issue, BTW : as you can see here, the 2.0 torso armor touches the balljoints).

Constraction custom parts
A package arrived today : -The torso is perfect. The only issue is that the balljoints touch the top of some armours (the 2.0 and the breakout torso). -The T-bone is perfect too. -The ballcup with crossaxle has some issues : the crossholes are too tight, and the crossaxle is too small too. There are more pics in my flickr gallery.

[Review] Skull Warrior / Skull Slicer / Skull Basher combiner model
Now that all the Skull gang has been reviewed by VBBN, it's time to take a closer look at the combiner models. The first one is made of three of the four medium sets : Skull Warrior, Skull Slicer and Skull Basher. The build : The instructions for these combiners aren't available (yet), so I had to guess the build from the (tiny) pictures at the end of the instructions of each set. We start with the torso and the gearbox, then we add the legs, the arms, the spikes on the back, the armours and the head. The complete model : His huge body and his wide shoulders make him really imposing, and he's rather properly armoured, especially for a skeleton. The main issue to me is the colour scheme (two metallic colours and four transparent colours), but it was hard to do better : it's possible to replace most of the blue parts by green ones (except the #4 armours on the arms and the horns, of course), but it makes the model look too much like Slicer, which I think the designers wanted to avoid (which is understandable, especially since he already has four arms). So... we have a rainbow warrior instead. Well. A blue crossaxle / pin is used to give some friction to the mechanism, but it's useless : as soon as you release the yellow knob, the arms "fall". Speaking of the arms, since they're all aligned, the "inner" arms almost can't move on the sides, only frontwards and backwards. What I like, and despite what the official description says, it's that this combiner has only one head. Sure, they could have given him three heads, but it would have been useless and ridiculous, so I'm glad they chose to stick to only one head. I also like the claws on his feet, especially the fact that they used a Skull Spider leg for the middle claw. It's a small detail, but I like it. It's an interesting build, and an imposing model, but it really suffers from the colour scheme.

Yes, the gun is clearly a prototype, but the helmet looks smooth and shiny, just like the shoulderpads (especially on this pic). I think it's a molded part.

Yeah, it's especially strange from the side. BTW, there are more pics on toyark, and thanks to them we know that it's gonna cost 19,99$, and its set number is [removed]. Grievous is the set 75112, so I guess the set will also be a 19,99$ set.

REVIEW: 70791 Skull Warrior
My second favourite set of the wave, behind MMvsSG. There's nothing too special about him, compared to the other medium sets, but at least everything is well-executed. Nah, they're snowballs, I guess. So when you think about it, Kopaka is a poor Master of Ice : he looses his mask because some undead skeleton guy throws snowballs at him.
