Thank you guys ! Yeah, I know, I still have to improve my photography skills and master my new reflex camera.
  2. Nah, they rather do that with an Euro sign.

Well, you could still try to build it with your current collection, if you have the others Beasts, but with different colors. That could be interesting. Orange head ? I don't know, that would be the only orange part, and although there are trans-neon orange armors, I fear opaque orange would look out of place. But I'll try. x) By the way, I used some extra parts to improve it. It's now more massive, and more menacing, but slightly less interesting, IMO, since it's not a one-set MOC anymore. Here's a picture, the other ones are at the bottom of the MOCPage :

Very good ! The design is very smooth and faithful to the original vehicle.

Thank you ! Better than that, I have a LDD file. Only the head is missing, and the hands' claws aren't attached because I couldn't. And I've created some groups for the different sub-assemblies, such as the legs, or the body... So you'll easily be able to see how the back assembly is done.
  6. This is a very good MOC, but I agree with Cammo, I don't see the point in making it a Cuusoo / Ideas project. Good job, though !

My latest MOC, a Splitter Beast alternate build : MOCPage C&C are welcome. :)
  8. Wait a few weeks, they'll soon be available on Lego's website, and brickset will provide links to those instructions.
  9. I hope I'm in the right topic. My best friend recently found out that his Dragon Bolt (44009)'s Axle 4 with stop was Flat Silver instead of the regular dark bley. Here's a comparison pic :

Thanks for the review ! Panthar seems to be a great set : interesting parts, interesting building, good looking final model... The only weird thing is the tip of his tail. And his awkward pose on the bag, but I don't really care, that won't prevent me from buying it as soon as I can.

He's the Hero. Maybe the designers kept his design simple purposely so kids who aren't into Action Figures but like the system sets / the Chima universe can have the main character and build it quite easily, and then, buy other sets. My 8-year-old cousin's first AF set was last year's Chi Laval, and he later got Gorzan, Worriz (who is pretty much like Laval), and Cragger. So basically, I see it as a "starter" set for kids who weren't really interested in Action Figures before the Chima Ultrabuilds' release. I didn't notice the #4 trans neon orange armors on the first pictures, this is quite a surprise. But these and the shield are really the only elements worth buying the set, which is quite weak. So... I'll pass this.
  12. Wow, great ! Oh, yeah, I see. Well, I might visit my local toy shops this week, but I won't set my hopes too high. Anyways, I still need to buy Splitter Beast, so I won't waste my time if they don't have the Chima sets.
  13. In a Lego Store ? Where do you live ?

There are some nice shapes, especially the front ! And the pink looks good here, good job !
  15. Thanks ! Now that is interesting. That makes one more reason to buy this ship.
  16. Well, at least he doesn't sell the file.
  17. His hair is common in black, dark brown and dark orange (BL). But here it seems to be Medium Dark Flesh [bL], which would be the first time it appears in this color. Now a few questions, still about the parts : Are Star Lord, Gamorra and Drax wearing the same pants ? Is Ronan's sphere painted or moulded ? And the Technic panels at the tip of the wings, they seem to be silver, rather than bley as I initially thought. Are they ?
  18. Alright, thanks ! Well, that's what I thought, but I still wanted a confirmation.
  19. Leewan replied to WARHEAD's post in a topic in LEGO Action Figures
Well, I think this difference makes the body look like an armor (along witht he massive use of system tan slopes). So I quite like it.
  20. One question for those who bought Effe's parts on shapeways : due to the "rough" and grainy surface of the parts, is there any risk to damage the Lego parts when you use them ? Did anyone of you notice that parts were particularly worn out when used with printed parts or is it totally risk-free for original Lego parts ? I hope I was clear enough.
  21. I saw Godzilla today, and there was an anachronistic Snowspeeder in Ford's room, at the beginning of the movie (the scene was set in 1999, but the Snowspeeder's wings were white, so I guess they used the 2010 or 2013 edition).
  22. Two waves of what, five / six sets ? That doesn't seem much, it would be unlikely. I rather think what VBBN means is something a la 2010 / 2011, with a new story arc per wave, instead of a big story arc running all over the year (at least supposed to run all over the year, since there's nothing really exciting once the episode of the year airs).
  23. You could try to use 315 - Silver Metallic instead silver and/or drum lacq silver. If you want a good chrome effect, you could also check here, I had a similar issue, and alkonavt96's file gave intersting results : (note : I've also used a sky sphere for this image)
  24. Wow, that's impressive. Thank you so much, virtualrepublic !
  25. Thank you ! Well, then, you can render this, this and this, if you want. Yeah, that's my main concern : if you want a good render, it takes time. And even with an "average" quality render, it takes hours. For example for this : my computer took over seven hours, with the level of detial set on LDD geometry + visible bevels, and the radiosity set on Fast in LDD2POV-Ray. That's why I'm curious to see what virtualrepublic is able to do with MODO. :D
