  1. Last year, Jet Rocka was the only boxed set, which is why this is surprising to see two boxed set next wave. Maybe this has something to do with the cocoons ? Also, these pictures confirm the orange/blue Jumper.

    Oh, now I understand.

The torso's structure is interesting. The structure behind the head is a bit weird, it seems unnatural, even for a robot. But what really bothers me is the armor on the stomach. It sticks out and gives a weird shape to the body. x/ Beside that, this is not bad, but I think some things could be improved.
  4. According to Huw, the cocoons will be made from three of the part seen on Tunneler Beast's back, and connected with a "Technic Y connector". But we still have to know which one is it.
  5. Don't think this has been reported here : the cocoons the Queen was seen holding in the episode are confirmed by brickset :
  6. Yes, I know, but it's always nice to see some of those artworks.
  7. Fail. I will try to build this when I will have access to my parts. I never though of using those armors with 1.0 frames before.
  8. You picked up the wrong guy, I'm not really good at weapons. But I did some modifications to the MOC, I found a way to attach the shoulders armors to the shoulders (well, the original set has spikes on his arms, but it looks weird, so I went for shoulder armors). It looks a bit bulkier than your MOC, so I don't know what you'll think of it, but here it is anyways. XplodeV2.lxf
  9. Just found this on Faberfiles. I hope he'll soon show more than this banner. 60€ is too much for Queen Beast vs. Furno, Evo and Stormer. I'm rather hoping for a price tag between 30 and 35€ for it. And a box, maybe.
  10. Nice, good job on the body. The shoulders armors are good, but look very hollow from certain angles. BTW, here's XPlode with yellow : And keetorange :
  11. Thank you ! The claws are indeed there to be there, I wanted to use a maximum of parts, so I put theme there. I don't think this was the best choice, but it couldn't have been much better, IMO. Also, it's not very visible, but the tools are attached to the Walker's "stomach", so they're easier to grab. The gun is also attached to the middle hip balljoint with this.

I couldn't, although this is possible in LDD thanks to a bug, IRL the Inika leg armor avoids to put a MTIS, unfortunately.
  13. And Queen Beast's "wings" ? They seem to have a different shade of blue compared to the other parts, from what we've seen so far.
  14. exxtrooper said everything. They are polybags, they were certainly meant to be given as gifts, they're promotional items. So what could one expect with such "sets" ? Matoran ? And honestly, considering the facts they're polybags, the 2008 ones aren't that bad. Seriously, you're too harsh with these.
  15. Nice, Zenerius, but it's not in scale. We need something bigger. I just thought of smething : with this, one could make the best minifig ever : a minifig version of Evo Breakout. Oh, and thanks for your comments guys !
  16. Now I want to buy Flyer Beast... BTW, here a re my alternate MOCs from Rocka's Machine and Jaw Beast (the only sets I own for now) : Rocka's Walker : Fish Beast (lame name and lame pic for a lame MOC, yes, but it's not easy to build something good and original out of Jaw Beast's single parts) : (alternate view) Maybe we should start a new topic so that everyone will be able to show and discuss his alternate IVB MOCs and combos.
  17. That was my idea, and indeed, it looks totally different from the original windscreen : Yeah, good idea. Alright, nice to know that !
  18. It's not the ideal shape, but I think two of these could be big enough. Also, since I bought Rocka's Machine, I tried different windscreens with the new cockpit part. Unfortunately, those I tried (this and this) don't fit, they both hit Rocka's helmet. x/
  19. I'd like to see more olive parts on this year's Cragger. More bones, some armors, too... Anyways, I think Chima is a great opportunity to get more parts in rare and/or new colors.

Very good ! The only thing I don't really like is the yellow knee spikes. They don't fit with the general aesthetics of the MOC. But the rest is nice, especially the torso.
  21. Ripoffception. I agree with the other ones, of course there are references to well-known concepts, but no plagiarism at all. It's like saying that the Jumpers are obviously copied on 2005's minifig-scaled Visorak, which proves, once again, that Hero Factory is a crappy ripoff of BIONICLE.
  22. It's not easy to design ballcups, so I prefer focus on parts with balljoints for the moment. Also, during the last semester, I printed some more parts at my school, pics will come tomorrow.
  23. Leewan replied to Bob C's post in a topic in LEGO Action Figures
Thanks for the tip, I will try when I get my next set (certainly Jaw Beast).

That's how I do, I keep the bags, so I like to have the front as "clean" as possible. I have a craft knife I use to cut the back of the bag, right above the zip. It's not easy, if you press too hard, you also cut the front.
  25. Well, it's a bit like saying that it's Furno Jet's Machine, or Stormer Freeze's Machine, implying that The machines belong to Furno Jet (which would be a Furno minifig equipped with jet engines) and Stormer Freeze (and I can't help but think of a frozen Stormer ). So this is really nothing of a big issue, it might indeed sound weird, and when we discovered the set's name before we get the first pictures we also thought we would get an XL version of Evo, but this naming is consistent with the other sets' names.
