  1. I worked with Vahki6 to create a fully articulated Tahu Mata. He designed the feet (with some help from me ), the right arm and the left hand, and I made the body and legs, which can be seen near the top of this page. Here's a few pics he took, with more on flickr :
  2. Well, they won't make new parts for the sake of making new parts. If the current range of parts is enough to build the sets, then so be it. Is it such a big deal ?

If the minifigs are already in production, we shouldn't have to wait for too long before the reveal and release of the set. I don't know, given the (likely) size of one Lightcycle, that'd be kinda cheap. I'd prefer the set to include parts to build two separate Lightcycles at the same time, although that mostly depends on which price point they aim for and how many parts are used for a / the Lightcycle.
  4. I think you should keep the current gearbox setup and use the available space to add other functions. It already sounds like a fantastic MOC, but I think it would be even better with additional and varied features.
  5. I've spotted a new recolour for this year : there's a part 11478 in red, in the Temple of Ressurection.
  6. I was right ! (For once ) It's nice to see some new moulds. I'm excited about the new collar piece, I'm sure it's going to be useful in MOCs. Han also uses a new shoulder armour, which will also appear in the Super Battle Droid.
  7. Put it aside, wait a few days days. Work on something else in the meantime if you want to. When you get fresh ideas, get back to your MOC.
  8. This Christmas, Santa brought me... a pet snail ! A blue one, to be precise. I decided to name him Jean-Jacques. But I don't think he likes being photographed, because he quickly began to run away :
  9. So Technic parts with Mixel ballcups ?
  10. Hmm... Better pics appeared today, and it seems that the Super Battle Droid's left arm is made with system parts. If it's the case, it's more probably going to be dark bley rather than gunmetal (I don't remember having ever seen a whole assembly made of gunmetal system parts only, but I can be wrong). But it's not going to be metallic blue, that's certain. From these new pics, we can see the AT-RT a bit more clearly, and it looks like it will use #3 and #4 (3*7) and #17 and #18 (5*11) panels in blue. That should make Technic builders happy. A droid-focused wave would be nice : a Battle Droid, a Droideka, and a bigger set with C-3PO and R2-D2. However, I think they would have to heavily rely on Technic.
  11. With two or three sets every four months, we're not exactly overwhelmed by Star Wars sets, there's still room for another theme. Looking at the newest Elves sets, I was thinking of a Constraction line aimed at girls. It wouldn't be human characters / dolls, but rather some kind of cute pets, like puppies, kittens, and such. Don't know if that would work though. You mean this ?
  12. They're not new, there are a few in the Mack, and they appeared for the first time with Rey. 28220 :
  13. The AT-RT seems to use more parts than the Speeder Bike, so I think it will be a bit more expensive.
  14. Jang's review confirms there are black bushes.
  15. It's nice to see Lego wants to continue making "character+vehicle" sets. So far there's seven sets we know of for 2018. I wonder if there will be a fourth wave in December, although it might be a bit early to speculate about that.
  16. I hope I didn't make you wait for too long, @ZORK64, but at last, I can show you how they look like. Also, I followed your suggestion to add one more segment to the little finger. (: Here's how they arrived, along with a pair of connectors with round holes, which I had done for Hazash's Biowave Project. Here are the 36 parts that make up the hands : Yeah, that's a lot. Once assembled, they look like this : I had a small issue, though, the bars of the parts that hold the thumb and the little finger were too small, so I had to use some blu tack to make them fit. They've been fixed now. Because of that, it was difficult for the hands to hold weapons, although it was possible : To facilitate that, I've added a 3.2mm hole in the palm (thanks to Marek and Du7734 for their input) : This is the version (with the hole and the fixed parts) that's available on Shapeways.
  17. Yeah, there's also some in the new Elves sets.
  18. This is fantastic ! I'm really looking forward to try this new feature. Or even a bit more. When I did the renders of this MOC, it took more than 5 hours per render on my poor old laptop. I should probably get a better one.
  19. With the reintroduction of teal, there might even be a seventh in the future. Unless that counts as a shade of green ? Speaking of which, there will be at least one new shade of green for Technic panels next year, as the set 75533 Boba Fett will have a pair of small sand green panels to cover his back. And as you can see on the picture, there will also be a dark red liftarm thin 1x2, a few blue parts (regular blue, be reassured), and possibly Flame Yellowish Orange / Bright Light Orange 1x7 liftarms. 75534 Darth Vader may be of some interest for Technic builders too, because from the back of the box and this picture, it looks like black bushes will make their comeback.
  20. The new sets are listed on the s@h. They will indeed cost 30 and 40 €/$ (while Boba costs 26£ and Vader 35£, for those who live in the UK).
  21. 42066 is Medium Blue : 42059 is Medium Azure : 42070 and 42074 are Dark Azure : Now here's 42077 : On official pictures lighting can be deceitful, but 42077 really seems to be dark azure.
  22. The instructions for the sets 42071, 42072, 42074 and 42084 are listed on Brickset. (:

The concept is interesting, and I like the style of your mech. The use of Technic parts makes it feel like a genuine machine. Unfortunately, I think your pics don't do it justice : they're too dark, and it would really help to have the MOC stand against a plain background. Do you have more details about that ?
