  1. The high res images means it’s growing on me too. If I’m not mistaken I spot a bathroom at the back of the first floor. im a bit bothered by the « practical » aspect of the set, a 3 wide staircase seems not wide enough for people to go up and down. I know a wider staircase would have taken valuable space but feels small compared to the usual 4 wide Lego stairpiece. Still thinking I’ll get the parts to add one floor which will give it the size it deserves.
  2. First Modular I'm thinking of adding a floor too with maybe with a theatre for science shows and a little café in the extra floor

As an aircraft or do we count spaceships ? I can't find the reference at the moment but I do have a clear picture in my mind of a few models that have SNOT wings (but could be in my imagination ^^). That being said as a lego passenger aircraft designer I'm super happy about the result for the Concorde and hope it's the sign for more to come. The last official "icons" style pax aircraft was the Dreamliner which was lacking quite a bit in the details (and the saggy wings were unfortunate). Also happy that neither AF nor BA were chosen as liveries (although I expect mods or decals to appear quite quickly).
  4. I believe your are referring to the Brooklyn 99 reference the designers wanted to include in the set (in the show they have halloween heists to determine the best detective/genius and one of the years the object they hunt is a crown).

Hi I recently discovered this youtube channel that seems to fit the description of what you are looking for. Its quite impressive : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTGHqw41qk_WyK3wJK7nweg If not AFOL TV is pretty good as well but with a more North American vibe.

Sadly no, look at the video posted a bit earlier in this thread... but still a cool concept
  7. I intend to have Ninjago city sandwiched between the city docks and the new gardens ( in a L shape) so it's probably fine if you don't have the city docks :)
  8. The fact they have similarities is what gives the appeal for me. Compared to say modulars which aside from the sidewalk have nothing in common, the fact the city docks continues Ninjago City feels like it's one giant lego set, which I'm hoping I'll be able to expand upon with the City Garden. But I'm a sucker and will buy it regardless so a totally different style could be cool as well.

yes, we can see it on the picture of the back through the window of the beige building, with what looks like black glass for the train door piece
  10. Same, got it at the Paris store today, they had lots in stock when I went around 12. Also if anyone is interested, because of the no touch policy they had all the CMF series 2 pre sorted and you were able to ask for the ones you wanted. Great service :)
  11. I’m a big fan and will for sure be getting it but I feel like Gringotts is really missing to give Diagon Alley it’s full identity. Really hope a compatible set will be released in à not too long future
  12. Fun fact, this is also the WORST lego part to step on. Happy we got a new cat mould around the time of the lego movie.
  13. That was my afterthought realisation, I hope it doesn't meant the skytrain rumour is dead in the water, because I would love to see that set as well, and am more likely to get a couple for my city rather than the crocodile Oh I missed the tram rumours. That would be awesome. Good year for trains indeed :)
