  1. It runs until Feb 2. Still time.
  2. That's a pretty absurd statement don't you think? Or maybe it's just because you don't care and are being lazy. People who have been to the show have stated photography is not being allowed for most of the TLG licensed products. TFA sets wouldn't be out for the general public to see and I doubt we will see anything until this summer. That of course don't mean we might not see some kind of reveal.
  3. I'm hoping for the ghost diver and the space kook. Everything else would be a nice bonus.
  4. That's part of the point. These toy fairs are more about TLG and less about the license holders. Companies like Marvel, Disney, WB have products made from their property not only to make money but also maybe more importantly for promotion. They like having actual reveals that they are involved with whether they are public, private or both. Having reveals makes much more sense, in New York for a variety of reasons. For one these are all American based companies who would be required to go overseas. Also having a reveal in a place like New York is going to insure greater media coverage than a place like Nuremberg. Plus the United States is one of the largest markets for these products thus one gets a bigger bang for ones buck if you will for revealing in the u.s. There are no guarantees of course that we will see everything in New York either. Separate reveals could have been planned long ago so that more attention is afforded to the product. So since 3 weeks is not a big deal then everyone should be able to survive until then.
  5. Indeed, i just read that over at brick fan. The plot thickens!
  6. Funny I always thought the point was the story and the characters. One of the reasons Tolkien wrote LoTR was to show how horrible war could be, not to celebrate it.
  7. It's been happening on and off. Clearing the cache seems to make it work for a few hours.
  8. Personally I would like if instead of factions fighting that they have mythical creatures. Something along the lines of creatures like the balrog. Or creatures/monsters from Greek mythology. Knights sent on quests to mysterious lands to battle creatures threatening their world. And yes, something other than dragons.
  9. It's hard to know why anyone does what they do. A few months ago someone said a lego store employee told them a Death Star sized Star Wars set was coming out in January.. Clearly that has not happened. A week or two ago someone in the marvel thread started making claims about sets, got everyone excited and then admitted he lied. Why? I have no idea. I will say this, all good reporters seek out a second source for confirmation of any tips they receive. Because even when everyone tells the truth as they know it, the facts can be wrong. Other than that one can only be vigilant to the truth and hope the facts bear them out. That being said I do hope the rumor to be true and am excited to the possibilities of what TLG could bring us.
  10. I think what you need to understand is you are not the first person to do this. While some claims have been later verified to be true there are plenty of others that were found to be false. It's a matter of credibility. Without a history it really is hard to gauge whether the information is valid. Not to mention one has to take what a lego store employee says with a grain of salt. TLG has gotten really good at keeping secrets and one way to do this is not by telling those in direct contact with the public. As based on your report this is what TLG tries to avoid from happening. If you are ever on brick picker.com there is a thread called, something like things heard said by a lego employee. Some wild rumors come out and sometimes are based on things said here that have no basis in truth. I'm sure you can understand the position people are in here.
  11. Yes, that was my point.
  12. Thank you for the link. Caulk it up to intellectual curiosity sparked by the subject of eurobricks origins. Maybe in the grand scheme origins do not matter. But on a personal level aren't we all curious about who we chat with on occasion. And if it didn't matter why put Poland as your country? It in some ways can serve as a reminder that although we can be very different from one another we can still share common interests.
  13. Has eurobricks ever done a breakdown of number of people from different countries?
  14. My question is if this cmf series is supposed to be coming out in October why are they already producing the minifigs? Seems a little early for that. Not to mention someone suggested that some of the minifigs do not have the proper parts. I'm interested how this all plays out.
  15. Definitely. Some people continue to blame TLG for the LoTR line yet fail to recognize that another party is involved. Another party who was probably more interested in ultimately promoting a new trilogy. Not in making sure someone gets their complete collection. An in house theme allows TLG to basically go in any direction they so choice and gives designers more freedom to create. They aren't limited by the source or pre-production material that often gets altered in the process of making films. Which is why for the most part LoTR sets look better and are closer to the movies than the hobbit ones.
  16. In the original show scooby and shaggy often wore disguises to hide from the monsters. So there is potential for clothing variation at least for shaggy. So wave two could consist of some variations and a different distribution of figures. Beyond that I would they would have to include some of the other characters that appeared through the years.
  17. Those are the only summer wave sets that we know of which will be released in August. Thirteen sets will be released the beginning of September of which seven are from TFA. The other six are most likely rebels sets.
  18. Nope. Similar in look but different. Side wings are narrower and straighter for one.
  19. Han Solo: What the—? Luke Skywalker: What's going on? Han Solo: Our position is correct, except, no thread. Luke Skywalker: What do you mean? Where is it? Han Solo: Thats what I'm trying to tell you, kid. It ain't there. It's been totally blown away. Luke Skywalker: What!? How? Ben Kenobi: [grimly] Destroyed. By the Empire. Han Solo: The entire star fleet couldn't destroy the whole thread. It'd take a thousand ships with more fire power than I've—
  20. No, but it does look like this one. http://kids-worlds-adventures.wikia.com/wiki/File:Chipmunks_Tunes_Babies_%26_All-Stars'_Adventures_of_Scooby-Doo_and_the_Headless_Horseman_of_Halloween.jpg

I was kind of hoping that but it's most likely another toy shop. I missed both so either way I'm happy.
  22. I haven't this excited about a theme since monster fighters brought me out of,my dark ages.
