Mastermind Toys has the new Ninjago, Pirates, Elves and City sets for 2015. If anyone (besides those I already know *cough*torolug*cough*) swings by the yonge near Lawrence location, keep an eye out for me on the job! I'd love to meet up with a fellow eurobricks member!

That's a really awesome build, nicely done!!
  10. I dunno. It's hard to say. There'll be days I force myself to build, and then there will be days where I'm taking the subway home from work when suddenly an idea lands in my head and I run home after getting off and start building right away. As a kid LEGO used to be a play-time activity, in which I planned it as part of my day. Now I just build when and wherever, depending on my mood (an schedule). Great topic!
  11. This is the greatest figure ever, and will be used as the standard by which all current and future minfigures will be judged by.
  12. I've never seen this piece before.... and I want it. Keep an eye out. It'll probably appear again. I've noticed quite a few pieces from the 90s have started to re-surface in recent sets, so I wouldn't put it past LEGO to make more of these amazing guys.
  13. I dunno, for me, it.... really depends on what stage you are as a builder. Two years ago I OBSESSED over minifigures. When I was a kid, the minifigures were at heart what I really wanted. Until stuff like Batman and Exo-force came around, which was when I started getting interested more in the build rather than the figs. However, when I got back into LEGO, all I wanted were minifigures. This was around the time LEGO was starting to focus more on the quality of the figure rather than the build. So, at first, to me, a minifigure was the best thing ever, something around which your build should be based on. Eventually some certain "ToroLUGGERS" dragged me out of that phase (though not without a lot of kicking and screaming) to get me to focus more on build and build quality. So, now, to me, a minifigure is really a tool. There are RARE cases where I think the minifigure is better, but that is the case of customs like Doctor Who (which will soon be fixed by the new set!) A minifigure is just another piece that can be integrated into the build in a number of ways, like using the hair, or the face, or the hands for some sweet mechs or something. Hope that helped!
  14. Ninajgo Titanium Dragon and MAYBE a bioncle, if my common sense (hopefully) isn't functioning that day!
  15. Oh boy, a bunch of 12-year-olds-trying-to-act-like-grown-ups-that-had-it-good are trying to make an opinion! Everyone head for the hills! Here's some advice: Sometimes it's just a loud few ;) In all earnesty though, it's really hit and miss. Just like it used to be, AND JUST LIKE HOW IT WILL ALWAYS BE. LEGO usually makes sets that can be hit and miss. I think these reviewers (the ones that aren't 12 years old anyway) are letting nostalgia cloud their judgement too much. ^_^
  16. My dad thinks it's the most ridiculous thing ever. Although I agree with the above, I think there is a point where you need to step back and say "ummm.... maybe I'm getting a little TOO obsessive". Then I completely ignore his advice because this is coming from a guy who would freak out over model air planes (my mom knows all the best secrets!);) In terms of general techniques, Peppermint nailed it. Also use a towel too sometimes, it allows for good grip when you need to separate stuff that a brick separator can't, and makes clean-up easier too. ^_^
  17. Wow, thank you for sharing, I always love learning about LEGO's history in my country! :D
  18. LEGO first and foremost is a company, and like any company, they will realize they have to cut quality to produce more quantity, as much as it sucks. :( Soon LEGO will realize how powerful they are and stuff like LUGBULK will be taken away because of lugs abusing the privilege and LEGO realizing it doesn't need AFOLs to promote its product anymore. Look at the store window displays, they were shut down because of a bunch of idiots who abused the program. So it's a little on both sides. It's really annoying when people bring this up, because yes, quality is decreasing, but LEGO is a company, to say that this isn't expected is like saying the sun won't rise tomorrow (it's night as I write this). The best thing you can do at this point is pray they don't start suing Bricklink for some reason or other.

You don't know what DOCTOR WHO is?!?! You have to watch it, it's such a wonderful show. Don't let the fact that it's meant for kids bother you, even children's television can be entertaining at the best of times! Wow, thanks for such a lovely comment Andy D!! I hope there's one for everyone... if not, Missy's in there too! Hehe, he's there in the second picture, just easy to miss because Clara is blocking him ;P You'll have to check out my post here:
