  1. I made mine RHD too, but I only mirrored the wheel and the wipers. I kept the gearbox, levers and rear door the same orientation (just like Mercedes do IRL)
  2. I've just looked and yes the new moulds are all ridiculously priced, except for the new perpendicular link which I've just ordered. I'm amazed and relieved that some parts have reduced in price! These F1 steering arms were £2.17 and are now £0.65 - that's 70% cheaper!
  3. Short video I found that shows underside and the fibre-optics. https://bricksafe.com/files/JTS/misc/_1721134316857.mp4
  4. Now that the review sets are out in the wild has anyone found a parts list for this set yet?
  5. Interestingly I just picked up 8466 and bags 5 6 7 were still factory sealed from 2001, but all of the 16l technic bricks were sticky to touch. I don't know why...
  6. The holy trinity of differentials
  7. Official link for the White version for those wanting to see all pre-release images. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/koenigsegg-jesko-absolut-white-hypercar-42184
  8. The cost of the suspension arms has always perplexed me. How are they more expensive to produce than per gram than most panels? I also wonder (because the rule of manufacturing is the more you produce the cheaper each unit is) if TLG has ever revised the price of part down when the piece is used in more and more sets.
  9. Ooh nice deduction! I went with the Nexo shield as that's also been in sets in transparent fairly recently but I see it now.
  10. A few observations after trying to rev-eng the NASCAR: The area in front of the front wheels is VERY dense with some crazy geometries; particularly the brackets sandwiching the grille. It'll be interesting to see whether the official set uses a more intuitive technique! The rear half of the car is completely empty. Literally just a shell, to the point where I could totally believe the designer has hidden some sort of play feature in there. Maybe a mechanism to deploy & retract the transparent fins? In the centre of the bonnet I assume is a printed 3x3 round tile in DBG. If so, this means the windshield is attached by the roof and not the base. Can you think of another SC set like this? Why surprised? This is exactly the purpose they were designed for! (I'm very grateful they are coming in red, I already have a WIP that needs them )
  11. As much disdain as I have for the real-world vehicle, I have to say this MOC is incredible. Instantly recognisable and beautifully detailed. It almost makes me want to convert the Sián into an Urus! (almost)
  12. We FINALLY get the 3×13 curved panel from the Osprey in DBG! Also the 1L micro panel (aka toilet roll) in DBG so we can tidy up the front end of the Peugeot Edit: I'm starting doubt they're 3×13 and may actually be a new, shorter mould?
  13. Does anybody know if 35189 fits into 32495?
  14. This is my biggest gripe with technic; we have a far smaller inventory of elements and yet what you can actually create yourself is limit by colour availability. Case in point: fenders. When the 42056 Porsche came with orange fender fairings in 2016 it was arguably a game changer for realism in technic, and in the 8 years since they've been released in azure, dark blue and... dark purple. That's it. There have been a dozen or so other fender designs but a lot of them made one appearance only and I am starting to worry that might be it.
  15. It looks fantastic! I do hope you stick with the Zarooq / offroader direction though. Will be keeping a keen eye on progress.
  16. JTS replied to CopMike's post in a topic in LEGO Licensed
I always like to compare the original submission with the final product, and this might be one of those rare occasions where the official TLG version is a better set! My guess is this will be a stand-alone set, much like the Dr Who and TBBT licences.
  17. Hi there! Don't know about the kids but the first thing that caught my eye was that awesome Audi TT MOC! Had a look through your Flikr but couldn't find it Do you have any more pics of it somewhere please?
  18. So glad this got bumped! Just seeing your MOC for the first time and it is amazing! I'm also just as amazed seeing how you build in complete modules. I tend to build an entire working chassis first then bolt the bodywork on afterwards... Maybe that's where I'm going wrong
  19. I had a look on bricklink and they don't even have an inventory up for 41347 yet so I used BrickOwl as my source.
  20. Just briefly perused the summer catalogue today and noticed the flex axle 12 is available in dark pink for the first time in 41347 (x4).
  21. To link from the front page methinks.
  22. Smile guys! You're in the elite club of people who get the "first look" at a brand new Lego set ;) (despite the sarcasm, I'm extremely jealous )
