I'm curious if anyone has worked on a police car or if TLG plans to release one in the future. I wonder why they haven't done it in technic yet. There are quite a few in the standard lego's. thoughts ?

8448 is my favorite to this day. The 8466 while fun to build is a disappointment as it never really evolved from the 8448 and it had issues from a suspension and steering standpoint. I have not built the 8070, but I do like the looks. the 8070 does not appeal to me since there is not gearbox for driving. I have actually parted out my 8070 to use for Sheepo's Gt500 build which I am working on now. I never cared for the 8880- the style just never appealed to me.

I think it is mostly because I have some pully wheels that are not 100% round and true,so I might try swapping them for a 3x3 disk for the brake rotor.To be specific I the thin liftarms that hold the "caliper" have been bumping the pully wheel just slightly Just want to get some thought if anyone has experienced this.

Question for those who have built the RC one, why does it pause between shifts in the video ? does the transmission disengage the wheels to allow free rolling between shifts or is there something that prevents a non-jerky shift ?

kevman replied to Sheepo's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modelingthanks i was meaning the wire from the power functions box for the extension, i believe it is 8871 , 50cm. i wonder if i go the right wire, i bought this http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=58118 but the catalogue entry says it converts the former 9v system to new pf. this was in the inventory from the instructions....ARGH!!!!!!

I have seen the list on re-brickable and it calls for some rare tires from the 8880 which I don't have. Also would the 8871 wire work for this as well? Thanks! Despite having 90% of the parts the hardest part for me is inventorying them and figuring out what I need to buy from BL. Any tips ?

is this a limitied set? if not will it sell out quickly? i am hoping it will not be to difficult to get
