  1. just ordered my instructions, how long does it usually take to get them? super anxious to get this started
  2. I can attest to the fact that the power puller wheels are not all that they are hyped up to be. I have a difficult time using them on my 8466 and even my 41999. They do look great , but not worth it if you want to actually play with the set that is using them. I really hope those wheels in the second pic are 9398 or 41999 size.
  3. can't wait for your review blakbird. Do you plan to show us a video of it in action ? Would love to see that.
  4. will this be on rebrickable soon ? need to check my inventory.
  5. anyone make a front end bucket loader attachment ? would love to see some pics
  6. I build the live axle from Sheepo's MPS system and It is pretty good. I wish that I could incorporate lego Hubs into it becuase the wheels tend to be too wobbly on a single axle.
  7. Yes I agree 1000% on this statement. I loved the idea of gearboxes but have nver successfully implemented them in any of my larger models and I have come to find that I really did not need to.
  8. Happy New Year! This is excellent. Very cool video and model. I have the 8653 and planned to RC it in a similar way that you did your Ford GT with RC buggy motor's receiver and steering. But this looks amazing! thank you for sharing your creations!
  9. weight is the biggest issue. I attempted to motorize the 8466 but the results were not great. too much grinding. Additinally the suspenstion is not inherently desgined for motorization. I have started building Sheepo's MPS system to build a chassis and I am pretty pleased with the motorization on that. Worth checking out if you have not already.
  10. as much as I appreciate that this set was ahead of its time, I don't get why this is more popular then the 8448. I think the 8448 looks much better. awd and 4ws are nice and all, but highly overrated when comparing the two sets. As a fan and owner of an american muscle car, I have to say that you are way off base. This does not come close to looking like an american muscle car.
  11. Wouldn't this be true for Sheepo's Land Rover then ?
  12. love this!! pretty pretty please can we have instructions?
  13. yup. I see no advantage to them. they have to be mounted backwards because of they offset and I actually prefer the look of the original wheels to them.
  14. I made the same silly mistake. They weren't cheap either....ARGH!
  15. I am almost done with my air suspension and gear chang mechanism. Details will follow soon, but it is based on fr3dpivo' s YouTube video for the 9398.
  16. I guess the better question is has anyone has RC'd this...
  17. I just built this for use in my rock crawler. I've tried several other ones that are out there and this by far is the best and most compact of them all. Many thanks for the idea!
  18. Thanks all. This clears it up quite a bit.
  19. I've seen this term many times, but not sure what it exactly means or stands for.
  20. Pvdb, Just built your autovalve. A few questions, the mount point you show for the stationary end of the pump, did that work for you ? I had to modify mine and move it one stud down in order to get the pump to work and produce enough air pressure to move my pistons. Also, mine does click at one end, not sure if my worm gear can be mounted in such a way as to avoid the clicking. Other then that, I have it mounted in my crawler and it will power my air suspension. I love the design, it is pretty compact and doesn't require many parts which is nice.
  21. I think I can reverse engineer that compressor, but If anyone has instructions for the compressor, please PM me. Thanks! I am going to put this into my 41999, I love the gear change implementation.
