  1. My favorite big fig was Groot. I like it better than the clunky Lego version. For regular size, I love the Flash WB version. I'm sure they ripped off a customizer but the design is spot on and it's something Lego will never give us
  2. holy cow- monster high/friends 'dolls'. my daughter is going to flip over these http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/JLB-6pcs-monster-girls-figures-building-blocks-school-girls-cartoon-characters-block-toys-girls-friends-toy/1302524_32235114260.html
  3. Some pics of the cards
  4. Here's some pics. No words but pretty cool.
  5. Just curious, for those who ordered the Bhozi Wolverine's Chopper set loose-- did your order include the comic and 'game card'. And anyone have a set of rules for SY game cards that seem to come with all of the superhero minifigs?
  6. ah, very cool! there's also these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/8pcs-Lot-BatMan-Iron-Man-Captain-America-Spider-Man-Chariot-Car-Building-Blocks-Minifigures-Compatible-with/1903432174.html which range from cool (the batmobile) to just plain weird--hulk in a green jeep because of course, what else would he drive? reminds me a little bit of some superhero car toys that came out in the early 1980's
  7. Are you talking about the DragonBall Z series? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/6pcs-lot-Decool-New-arrival-Anime-Dragon-Ball-Z-Son-Goku-Vegeta-Building-Blocks-Sets-Classic/1904725213.html
  8. I couldn't find any Doll brand on AE though that doesn't mean anything. The generic name of 'Doll' makes doing web searches for them almost impossible too. I'd love to see a checklist of what else they've done.
  9. Thanks for the info on Doll brand bootlegs. If you'd like to trade for a couple of Deadpools in the original box, I'd swap regular Lego minifigures or polybags for them. I'm based in the USA and get most of the special promotions that come up. I was excited to see my local flea market which is usually a great spot for bootleg toys has just started carrying the Bela line. Just TMNT right now but I'm hopeful the super heroes follow.
  10. Does the Doll brand come boxed? Where'd you find yours if you don't mind me asking? I've got decool, sy, and bohzi deadpool and I'd love to round out my collection with doll
  11. Thanks! Both Shang and decool have individual minifigs in unique packaging
  12. I'm a huge Deadpool collector and am looking for some help on the Deadpool minifig. 1. I know Decool and Sheng Yuan have produced their own versions. Is anyone aware of any other knock-offs out there? 2. I'm desperately looking for a boxed version of the Decool. Most sellers, including the ones on Alibaba only sell loose. Does anyone know of a reseller out there who sells boxed? As much as I love bootlegs and knock-offs--I think they make neat and often unusual and colorful additions to a collection-- It is getting a little out of hand on Ebay. Just buying a loose minifig now takes scrutinizing of the listing, pictures, and seller's auctions to determine whether or not you're getting a Lego or boot. Anyone else experiencing this frustration?
  13. I love them! These other figures are too clean and close to the original. I like my bootlegs to look like they hit every branch of the ugly tree.
  14. Anyone know who makes these "beauties"? http://m.ebay.com/itm/171360506294?nav=SEARCH
  15. I collect bootlegs across a few different toy lines and these lego minifig knock-offs are really interesting to me. Most bootlegs are produced in poorer nations where owning the original just isn't economically feasible. They are distributed locally or to much smaller markets. And the quality, as a result, is usually horrendous and, more importantly, they are almost NEVER produced with a collector market in mind. These new figs have really upped the quality level and they seem targetted specifically to collectors and on a much larger global scale. This is really a game changer as far as collecting is concerned. Not only is it going to make buying minifigs a much more cautious process, it may even damage the price of existing collectible figures. Normally, I'd be grabbing these up as true bootleg Lego didn't really exist prior to this (although there were knock-offs a plenty), but there's something about them that just seems unsavory to me. And I can't believe there isn't some kind of collector-involvement in the production of these. The producers just seem a little too tapped in to what AFOL's are looking for.
