  1. with the 10179 increasng pricess, it might be better to use your dollar bills on this one dollar falcon
  2. i have ordered bricks at lego customer service for a fellow eurobricks member that didnt have the option to do that. i talked with the girl in customer service and she found all the difficult ones that is hard (an expensive) to get on bricklink. but she told me that the grey lever and 1 some other parts for the 10179 (probably the light bluish grey boat mast rigging) and one of the plates isnt in production anymore and stock of those will soon be out.
  3. bought the 7964 on amazon.co.uk at uk£77 i find that cheap the set is 140 or so retail here, and with the amazon free shipping ts getting even better.
  4. i forgot to add my order from lego customer service which was 457 dkr which is euro 60, the last order is placed at bricklink now and was 40 euro, so total for the 10179 is around 450. still its a good price and the only thing i miss is the original box and the instructions manual but i thnk i will have to live without those, they are very high priced. i dont know for sure but think that price for the falcon was 475 euro when it was available at lego shop
  5. 350 is with shipping, but i forget to tell that i found aprox. 500-600 bricks in my own piles of lego. I placed a lot of small orders and from the start i was focused on finding the cheapest bricklink sellers. didnt place any large orders but a lot of small ones. placed on large order at an uk seller who had very reasonable pricess. further more i have not been focused on getting entirely new brikcs i would guess that 20% of the bricks bought has been used.
  6. using the 10179 inventory and add to your wanted list makes is so much easier when you use bricklink. i bought the following parts using lego customer service light bluish gray boat mast rigging 47996, dark bluish gray 1x16 with holes 3703, the light bluish gray lever with base 298c05, light bluish gray wedge left and right 6564 and 6565, light bluish gray pin connector 75535. but some of the bricks easy to find on bricklink 2-3 weeks ago is really getting expensive and hard to find, so maybe it would be a good idea to get these from lego as well yellow technic brick angle 32555. Btw the satelite dish and the sticker sheet is a licensed product so lego customer service aint allowed to sell those.(but customer service is great at lege ;-) i used lego.com and used the usa "interface" then at the bottom corner of the webpagee you can click missing part under customer service, then you get to a page where you have to type your age, then you type in the set number and the parts needed for that set appears. to get 61 of one part and 47 of another takes very long, so i just got one of each and when i received a mail form lego with a reference number i called lego and told them what i needed.
  7. nice review looking forward to xmas. think it will be much easier to wake up my son, when he has this to open every morning. I just got mail from amazon.co.uk that the calender i preordered is now in stock and will dispatch soon. Amazon.co.uk is offering free shipping to most european countries if you spend more than uk£ 25 so i ordered the calendar and a HP night bus at uk£ 21.55 (a bargain price if you live in Denmark
  8. almost there, almost there. i miss 200 (not the hard to find ones;-) bricks and im done with all parts for the 10179, i have spent aprox 350 euro. thats without the minifigs and the instruction books. Lego customer service has been very helpfull, ordered lots of the technic bricks, join ball connectors and other not easy to find bricks. Lego actually has way better pricess on the hard to find ones than bricklink. And i was very lucky to receive a small gift from lego as well. Have placed 25 orders at different bricklink sellers. Now we are waiting for the last orders to arrive and can hopefully start build next weekend.
  9. i have no idea if shuld star a new topic or where to place this, but please feel free to delete this post or move it just found this on ebay, i cant figure out if i should hit the buy it now, or has this chinese seller mads somekind of mstake in his listing, or is he just trying to raise money fast and let ebay and paypal deal with vey unhappu buyers later on?? *scam link removed to save the foolish from themselves*
  10. have been buying pieces for the 10179 on bricklink and using lego customer service, and so far i have got around 2000 bricks (fortunately a lot of the light bluish wedges) for the set. i intend to get as close to the real set as possible, so i will probably end up paying the hefty pricess for the original sticker sheet and the original instructions. Now i see that a documnet of authencity is with the set, but did this letteronly come with the first release of this set or all??
  11. i have started on my "getting late to the party 10179" got some parts directly from lego the light bluish gray boat mast rigging". all parts from the 10179 is on my bricklink wanted list and now every time i visit a bricklink shop for other parts i intend to order some of the 10179 parts. I guess it will take a couplle of years, but i have all the time in the world love this thread and all the good advises, Thank you very much
  12. i actually have a small glas vitrine shelf with some smaller collectables in the living room, but this thing is just to huge. i paid 179 euro for the display, i find the price reasonable. Btw seing marshal bananas and cavegods MOC made me buy a 10144, and i actually like the lego version. Im not a 100% AFOL, lego is always something i build and enjoy with my oldest son, but im envy on your office/nerd room, i would really like one myself. Found a great spot at my sons room and the display is now at his room
  13. i paid a litlle less than the usual price on ebay.co.uk and bricklink, i was the only bidding on the set, so i pad the sellers start price cavegod and marshall bananas sandcrawlers are amazing, if i had skills building like you i would find somekind of suitable display and never take your fantastic mocs apart.
  14. Dont want to be a collector, so i dont go for 100% complete lego star wars collection. But i like the more special things.been looking a while for a lego star wars display case. A while ago the venator republic gunship in display case showed up on a listing here in Denmark, but first of all im not a big fan of clone wars and second it was pretty high priced. So when a 10144 showed up on an ebay listing i couldnt resist. So when i returned home from work today a huge box was placed at my front door. with build in light with the acrylic display off funny but there is no stickers applied every part of the set has been glued, and some xtra blocks attached underneith the base of the sandcrawler and the the blocks glued to the set is screwed to the base the minifigs are glued to the base with a glue gun/melting glue nice tatooine background i especially like the tracks from the belts Now i only have to find out where to put the thing, when my wife so the display, she immediatly told me "that this thing wont be placed in my living room" ;-)
  15. just ordered the new sith nightspeeder and the geonisian fighter from a dutch seller on bricklink, even with shipping the sets will be cheaper than buying them at the local toy shop. (i think denmark must be one of the most expensive places to buy lego) seing Marshall bananas sandcrawler, made me want the 10144 but pricess on ebay.co.uk and bricklink are pretty high. but found a listing on german ebay, contacted the german seller and asked if he would ship to denmark. he would happyli do so and even asked if i would like a buy it now option, so he sold the set to me at a very reasonable price. yesterday DHL was here to deliver the package. i wasnt home so i will have to wait to friday when DHL will redeliver.
  16. I Bow to you Marshal Banana. i think this is the most amazing lego moc i have seen. size and details are amazing
  17. amazing!!! can wait to see more
  18. my package from lego arrived today, did anyone else notice that the poster is indivudually numbered. mine was 24395 of 35520
  19. I would have wished that the new sets would be released now, the only set i (my son ;-) was missing was the battle of geonosis set. so ordered that one and some series 4 minifigs. But will have to cancel that order, cause you only get the promotion arf fig with star wars purchases over 400 dkr. so ended up with geonosis set and a magnet set. During check out i got noticed that i qualified for free shipping and the promotion fig. the email i got from lego shop has the arf minifig mentioned. no words on the poster.
  20. yes its imbossed, thanks it is a very nice feature
  21. just got the 6208 b wing fighter for my son, i noticed the box is different than others i have. the picture of the ship in the cardboard box is somehow "pushed" so it looks like 3d. (hope you understand what i mean, i cant find the english word for it)its a nice feature. i have checked all other lego star wars boxes i have but cant find anyone similar. does anyone know if other set boxes has the same feature??
  22. echobasehoth posted a post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars

Dont know if this is old news, but take a look at this photo slideshow, some great pictures from the new cars line slideshow
  24. i have been working on a obi booster ring myself, but i cant find the right solution for the engines, the big "rings" from the atlantis set would probably work out great, but cant find them in dark red anyway i like your ring i really think obis fighter needs a ring
