  1. Lego city designers have lost their way.....again. Only a handful of sets interest me. Where is the city in city is what I ask ?

Oops, I forgot....Robot World Let's hope for even more of these in city. Do we see multi crossover between city and creator plus a few old themes.....just my observation ?

More impressive than first wave, the great vehicles are now truly great.....in size. I'm sold on the harbour and tram plus that humble lego semi.

The new fire station would fit in with 2023 downtown and apartment sets. The smaller sets seem better value for money. Sail boat is totally on my shopping list as to the go carts, burger truck and road roller.

Why do I get the feeling Lego has lost its way ? The box art screams classic 80s/90s.....but why has it left the real world and gone Sci Fi ? Maybe just let kids chose if Darth Vader opens a coffee shop or not.

Just saw pic of the fire plane. Not bad.....twin prop water bomber with stud scooters for water cannons. Now, the space gear no interest at all.....what's next.....city castle or city pirates ?

Space hoverbike ? What's next, a draw bridge and ogre ? City was the extension of classic town not classic space or any other classic theme. If fans of Lego want a hoverbike floating in their domed city on the moon then they use their imagination and boxes of creator or Star Wars sets and do it themselves.
  9. Last year we finally got a grocery store, perhaps a hardware store could be next. Mitre 10 in Australia gave away a store set with tins of paint and ACE hardware in the USA sell a store set and prime mover with trailer set. I guess we'll have to wait and see over the next two years.
  10. It seems like hope will be restored in the second wave. Perhaps Lego has finally listened to everyone saying more buildings. Two thousand piece count must mean one heck of a big Urban centre.....might it include public transport also. How about a department store or offices.....no doubt a coffee shop will be in it 😉 ? First images of second wave will fill us all in.......I wonder of the old toy fairs in January and February will hold surprises.
  11. At least the auto repair set isn't a +4 years set. Though the set list still disappoints lots of fire and police again......Lego City must have too many crooks and fire bugs.
  12. Wow, after an epic set list for 2022, 2023 falls backwards again. Another fire station, obviously another police station, etc.,. Some of the vehicles sound good, the auto repair I hope isn't a +4 years set and I guess a police academy is different enough from the norm. Let's hope mid year set list contains more buildings to add life to our Lego cities.
  13. I would say one would be a D2C in the city line similar maybe to town or city square.
  14. School too small but I guess modify isn't out if the question. The bank is one of the best designs for a bank or office building ever. The park and beach sets are wonderful The horse trailer set is a modern take on the 2009 set. Looks like the new six wide door frames are going to be very common.
  15. Cute little race car and jet. That crane along with the hospital are the best of the sets yet.
  16. Oops my bad it's a six wide door but that also means new door and window panels.
