MOD / MOC - 42151 C Model American Truck - Attachments
Paul B Technic replied to Paul B Technic's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingMOC - 42151 C Model American Truck - Tow Arm I would like to present my latest MOC attachment for my modified LEGO Technic 42151 C Model American Truck, this is a tow arm. It features a tow line, which is controlled by the yellow gear on the side of the body. It also has a locking stem, to keep the tow line in place. This attaches using the same mounting points and system as my previous attachment and this is the standard mounting system I will use with this truck for attachments in the future.

MOD / MOC - 42151 C Model American Truck - Attachments
Recently I have built and reviewed the American Truck C model of set 42151, which was designed by "ConstructionsByDonat". While I found this to be a well designed and built C model, I felt with some changes it could be a good base for expanding it. I spent sometime working on some changes, these include: - Redesigning the cabin roof and supports, to better lock this in position and give it a more polished and finished look. - Reducing the height of the exhaust pipe. - Change to dual rear axels. - Swapping the rear wheels to offroad type tread. - Extending the rear body, this it is allow various attachments to be connected. After doing all of the above, I decided it would be fairly easy to modify my cherry picker attachment from my UORT and mount this on to the rear. This lead to me pulling my UORT and most of it's attachments apart, and using these parts to improve this truck and also modify my cherry picker attachment. This now has a solid mounting system and can easily be removed from the truck with only one axle being removed from the rear, but it is still solid enough to not allow the cherry picker attachment to come off. My plan is to now build some different attachments for this.

Review - LEGO Technic 42167 C Model Skip Loader Truck
The LEGO Technic Set 42167 C Model Skip Loader Truck by "TechnicMOCer" is a fantastic addition for any LEGO enthusiast looking for an engaging build and a functional model. Here's a closer look at its features and my experience building it. Features: HOG Steering The Hand of God (HOG) steering mechanism in this set is a standout feature. It allows for precise control and adds a realistic touch to the model. Manoeuvring the truck is smooth, making it not only a display piece but also a fun interactive toy. Detachable Container The skip loader truck comes with a detachable container, which can be easily loaded and unloaded. This feature significantly enhances the playability of the model. The loading mechanism is well-designed, providing a satisfying and realistic operation that kids and adults alike will enjoy. Building Process Building the Skip Loader Truck was an overall enjoyable experience, though it did come with a few challenges. Some of the steps were a bit confusing, and in certain places, it was hard to see exactly where some parts needed to be attached. This added a layer of complexity but also a sense of accomplishment once completed. One particular point of difficulty was the construction of the front of the cabin. Initially, this section tends to fall off quite easily until additional support is added in later steps. This can be a bit frustrating, but the structure becomes sturdy as you progress through the build. Playability and Display The loading feature is incredibly well-executed and adds a lot of fun to the model. It's not just a static display piece; the functionality brings it to life and makes it an engaging toy for imaginative play. The Skip Loader Truck is designed at the same scale as the A model, making it a great companion piece. When displayed side by side, both models complement each other well, creating an impressive Technic collection display. Conclusion The LEGO Technic Set 42167 C Model Skip Loader Truck is a well-designed, functional model that offers a rewarding building experience despite some minor challenges. Its realistic features like HOG steering and the detachable container add a lot of value, making it a must-have for Technic fans. While the build process has a few tricky parts, the end result is a sturdy and fun-to-play-with model that looks great on display. Overall, I highly recommend this set to anyone looking for an engaging and functional addition to their LEGO Technic collection. It attaches to the rear mounting point. The turntable is controlled via the black gear on the side of the chassis. The black gear on the front of the cherry picker is used to raise and lower the arm. Overall I am very happy with how this has turned out, it is my favourite Utility Offroad Truck (UORT) attachment so far.
